I happen to stumble back to this page and it's a shame to see only 1 review so I have decided to write.
This game is one of the most atmospheric games I have played and I think I have played quite a few of this kind.
The thing that really catches me with this game was there were no annoying useless voice over or cardboard cut out figures appearing all the time. The graphics combined with the sound literally made me jump at times when it was suppose to. The videos throughout and during makes this game feel like a movie that you don't want to pull away from.
Choice of difficulty and the rest like other HOB games. Puzzles and HOB were good and some were easy.
However, this is one game that must try and those very few in which I could not pull myself away from. Flows very well. I have been trying to find something with similar feel and still have not found one yet. Absolutely recommend.
I recommend this game!

I just finished the demo and I will buy this game simply because I have played continuously quite a few HOB adventures and they are more or less the same. This game at least is set in modern times (I have not watched this show but I think one might appreciate it more if you have watched it and are more familiar with US terms) and the game play is a bit different than the usual mystery games. After a few minuets, I got the hang of things.
Straight forward style, locked inventory, good graphics, the sound is ok, so far since it hasn't hit me with anything noticeably amazing. The hint is good with walkthrough well layout. Choice of difficulty of play.
Definitely worth trying.
I recommend this game!

Personally, I got bored after a while. I have played quite a few of these games and can play on advance mode starting recently. I played the SE (good thing I didn't buy the CE).
The hint is useless (doesn't tell you or hint what you can do next), the notebook is also useless (it only records what you have done and brief). The cursor to go places is not quite right, what I really didn't like was having to go from places to places and having to back out twice instead of being able to go directly left or right, so when you have to go ping-ponging from one place to another right next door in the same area, you get a bit frustrated with having to click so much.
Although sound and graphics were ok, the characters and what they say were cheesy. On the whole, the game didn't spook me nor motivate me.
HO were too easy and so for the puzzles. Really wasn't very enjoyable.
I don't recommend this game.

I have played a few of these sort of games and also quite a few Nancy Drew series, not expert though but this game was great for me because for once I didn't have to be stuck at a stage and cannot move on until I have solved a puzzle ! That drove me nuts. In this game it gives a choice of skipping and when they give a hint, they do give a hint and not just a line that leaves you pulling your hair out.
You have to think but for non experts, as long as you have some common sense, you will enjoy the satisfaction of being able to move on the game without feeling like you are a complete idiot.
I agree with some here that it had it's frustrating moments and quite often when solving puzzles or looking at things that the control of the mouse lost control.
On the whole, good game and addictive.
