Yes, this game starts off slow. Slow? OK, maybe not at all. Personally I could not even figure out how to back out of the menu. In retrospect though, it's all part of the pure puzzle environment. Search the web. Watch youtube videos. See what you can do. And once you figure out the format, you will be on your way.
I admit I am a walkthrough-checker from time to time, but once you realize how to play this game, I don't think you will need a walkthrough. A lot of patience perhaps...and a lot of brainpower...
I recommend this game!

This second installment doesn't hold my attention like the first did. The first I avidly played until level 100--the end--and hated to see the game end. This one loads over and over again, the play is repetitive and the graphics are wooden and childish. I bought this game, but I'm not sure I will play it much more.
I don't recommend this game.

Steel Life is not a hidden object game. Thank you, developers. It is an adventure/logic game, which we see too little of these days. Some of the logic puzzles I'd seen before in other forms; most were new. It was rewarding to try to piece together what one had to do to move the game along.
I think there is a general trend of "dumbing down" games. A child could follow most casual games through to their conclusions. "Parallels Cross" and "Steel Life" have been two recent games that challenge rather than spoon feed. If that's not your cup of tea, pass them by. But personally I would love to see more games like these!
I recommend this game!

Another reviewer commented that s/he couldn't stand this game after 15 minutes because it was all about pushing items around in a drawer. This game is not about instant gratification. In fact, this game is all about delayed gratification. Delayed in the sense that one is absolutely puzzled from time to time about what to do next. Delayed in the sense that even the hint button doesn't always help, and there is no walkthrough. So why play this? Because some of us still like to think through a challenge, turn off the game, and come back to it with an idea of what may work next. Parallels Cross is far from perfect but it is great fun not to be spoon fed all of the answers, all of the time.
I recommend this game!

Excited to see what I thought was a new Pahelika but it turns out this is a re-release of a game I played three years ago. Check the dates of the reviews. A lot has changed in three years of gaming. Otherwise it is challenging but a bit backwards.

Wished for more, this was just another Elephant game (which used to be really good, by the way). Cutscenes got old, dramatic puzzle pieces in the upper right hand corner were dumb. the only challenge were the intricate puzzles. And that is the conundrum...why try to appeal to all and end up appealing to none?
I don't recommend this game.

This game is challenging and fun. There are so many Match 3 games out there right now offering "In App purchases", meaning if you get stuck on a level, you can buy some amazing thing that will free you to move on. This game is just as challenging, but you don't have to buy anything extra.
Hint: the key to winning most levels is to find 4-, 5-, or 6- matches, line up those resultant highlighted tokens, and then match those tokens together.
Also: the timed levels can be skipped, just play them a couple of times, lose, and you will be offered the opportunity to skip. You can always come back and try again.
And finally: the "Angry Birds" levels, i.e. 6, 12 etc. can also be skipped. Just go back to the main board and select the next level. But c'mon, they're all pretty easy!
I recommend this game!

"Evil Pumpkin" is a unique game that challenges the player. I never play games on the lowest setting but this one, I do. Casual is still pretty darn hard. Casual setting gives hidden object games and puzzles...intermediate gives NO hidden object games, and less hints...hard must be near impossible. There is a lot of pixel clicking but this is a Halloween treat that surprises. Give it a shot, it is humorous and somewhat addictive.

The first Azada was a treat, but that was early in the history of this kind of gaming. Not sure I would replay that game, really. I haven't been very pleased with ERS lately; their games seem all eye candy and little substance. BUT, I like this game. I like the puzzles. Some are easy, some are hard, and I put up with the HOS. I really like the creativity of the scenes. By all means I think it's a deal now!
I recommend this game!

I love the games that don't fit into the expected box...and this is one of them. It is challenging and fun and I really like the surprising graphics, humor and characters. No, this is not for everyone...but if you like the offbeat and creative games--give this one a try. :-)
I recommend this game!
