I played a Beta Test version of this game, and instantly fell in love. So much so, that I purchased this game without playing a demo, and I'm ready to dive in. Once I play until the point the demo ends, I will continue with my review. This game has had me stalking Big Fish forever, while waiting for it to debut. Additionally, just based off of the demo, I can honestly say, that Mad Head Games is on top! They have quickly become one of my most favorite game developers via Big Fish. No matter the content or the game, they always deliver the visuals, game play, and story. Give me 90 mins, and just like the Terminator, "I'll be back!"

Just when you thought it was over, that old manor seems to pull you back in. I'm writing this review based on the beta test and full demo. I must admit, I quit the testing half way through because I did not want to spoil the game for myself. Sounds crazy, but trust me when I tell you, it is so worth the surprise.
At first, I was apprehensive about the change in developers taking over the series. Even though I am a fan of Eipix, I thought Elephant Games did a wonderful job with the Madame Fate and Dire Grove addition. However, they did not disappoint! Kudos to one of my fav developers, you guys did your thing!
The overall atmosphere of the game is creepy, as this is a supernatural, psychological horror/thriller at its best. The game brings you back to the charm that sucked you in, and made you a fan of the earlier installments of the game. Even though the Mystery Case Files games are awesome, the Ravenhurst title is the one that has made me curse the bad guys, and cheer for the "unnamed" detective to solve the enigmas surrounding the manor, and save day.
Just like the description says, the variety and layers of mini games in mini games, variety of HOPs, and that distinctive Eipix art and detail is absolutely worth every penny, or credit you decide to spend.
For those of us who crave horror/ supernatural/creepy games, this is the must-have for the upcoming Halloween weekend. Unfortunately, I will probably finish the game by t. That's how Friday. I have waited for this game since the demo and Youtube release videos.
I'm not going to reveal any details, about the game besides this--prepare yourself for a ride from beginning to end. When you think you know what is going on, you don't or should I say won't. Just get yourself ready, pour a nice, warm cup of tea or whatever your drink of choice is, and get ready for a thrill ride. Just know--the stuff-- will hit-- the fan!
From the makers of the Rite of Passage series comes a ground-breaking new series that's as creepy as it gets.

For all of you console, horror game playing heads, this game is the one for you! Even if you need a break form the newer horror games on the popular consoles, like I did for a while, imagine my surprise when I decided to download and play this game. Please be warned--you will not be taking a break, you will be running, discovering items, and solving puzzles for your life.
Additionally, all of you who enjoy the escape-the-room type games will like this one as well. Your main purpose is to escape each room or encounter with you life in order to appease some cheery-voiced kid. Can I please get an adult to get their kid? Lol.
If videogames and horror movies involving creepy kids is your kick, then this is the game for you! The atmosphere will leave you wondering where the light switch is, if all of the doors and windows are locked, and if you can sit with your back against the wall, so no one can sneak up on you. The graphics and game play were a wonderfully dark and twisted surprise for me, especially when you consider that this is not a Collector's Edition game. But, come to think of it, it is from one of my favorite developers, so I know quality when I see it.
Please note that this game is for older audiences because of the content and subject matter. This is a great plus for gamers who want a change of pace from the fairy tales and fluff.
Is it worth the time to play? Yes!
Is the antagonist someone you will love to hate? Yes!
Is the game play and puzzle-solving awesome? Yes!
Is the theme dark and twisted? Yes!
Are their jump scares and tentacle-snatching-people monsters? Yes!

You read my title correctly! I Beta-tested this game after watching the Beta-test demo on Youtube. This game has everything lite-horror game lovers adore. I am a seasoned gamer that usually plays horror games on consoles, and found that this game is absolutely awesome. It has the right amount of scares and keeps your interest.
This is the game that has brought me back to the series. Unfortunately, I have felt that after the first game, the series lacked a true sense of dread and unease needed for a game of this caliber. Well, I can shut my mouth because the creepy-factor, fun, and jump scares are back--all of these help to define what the series was in the beginning.
I'm not giving away any spoilers here! Just believe it is worth you time and money. Play the demo. I guarantee you will be purchasing this game as soon as it is over!
I've got to go--I'm losing out on precious game-playing time here!
I recommend this game!
There are screams heard in Silent Hollow... Trouble at the Mystery Trackers headquarters means you're called in to help.

I had to submit a review for this game, since I grossly disagree with the first and only review I read before trying the demo. As always, Elephant Games has turned out a beautiful sequel to the already fabulous series.
This one, however, has a storyline that involves what I like--ghostly happenings. Things are happening close to home at the Mystery Trackers' base, and it is up to my character to investigate, and find out what is going on.
The quality I expect from Elephant games is definitely there! The graphics are crisp and clean, the storyline is fabulous, there are many extras to view once you finish the game, you can earn achievements, the navigation is easy with the map (you can transport to places already visited), and you have--drum roll please--powers! I have not tried the hint system since I am an achievement junkie, and don't want to blow that award.
This is definitely a buy for me. Not only am I a huge fan of Elephant Games, I love this series. I have all of the games, and this is just a wonderful addition. Good job, Elephant Games, good job! I expect nothing less.

This game is absolutely AWESOME! I usually don't comment on games I have played/purchased, but I had to considering that after the first 5 minutes of gameplay, I was hooked! The graphics are beautiful, and the storyline so far is both haunting and encompassing. If you like horror-themed, or should I say supernatural-themed games, which happen to be my favorites, then this one is definitely for you. I like the fact that you play together with your fiancee', until you get to a certain point. I also like the fact that this is not your "let's return to our hometown, and have a car accident/crash in order to begin the game" beginning. Everything progresses @ a wonderful rate, and instantly pulls you in. The music is okay--honestly, I was so focused on the gameplay, that I didn't pay attention. As an artist, I appreciate the beauty of the artwork contained within the game, it is beautiful. Additionally, the developer of this game happens to be a personal favorite, so I expected nothing less. In my opinion, if you want a game that is altogether a well-rounded play, then choose this one. As for me, I have purchased it, and will take my leave in order to play it straight through. Happy Gaming!
