I stumbled upon this game, it's not something I would normally go for. There are so many HOG's on this site I wanted to try something different (getting sooo fed up of HOG's) I tried the "Chicken Invaders 5 Cluck on the Dark Side" 1st, thought it was alright, don't know why but it didn't quite grab me, so thought I'd try another
I am sooo glad I did, I absolutely LOVE this Halloween Edition. I won't go into details as others have described it much better than I can. But one feature I really do like is the game changes orientation, this game is so much more than your normal space invaders.
Give it a demo... if you don't like it demo a different Chicken Invaders I'm sure there's one out there for everyone.

Story is good
Cutscenes are really good and reminded me of a storybook in some ways, also felt that I was actually in the scenes. There was a lot of them, which I enjoyed immensely and didn't skip any (which I normally do).
HOPs were easy, but did get harder near the end. (Hence challenge level 4 instead of 5)

Puzzles: Some puzzles I hadn't seen before and a few were really hard to the point after spending an hour in some cases I used the skip button (which I very rarely do)
I will definitely play this one again!
I really enjoyed this game and would recommend for puzzle lovers who enjoy a bit of adventure
If you don't like puzzles then this game is definitely NOT for you.
I recommend this game!

Before we start this is not a HOG it is an adventure game, anyone wanting a HOG will be disappointed. I have only just started playing adventure games and found this to be really easy, why others have said they have got lost is beyond me. I have found Nancy Drew and Syberia too hard for me, being a novice myself but found Age of Enigma, Azada: In Libra and Red Crow Mysteries (the last one being list as a HOG, which it is not) to be just right for my level of play.
I would only recommend this game to novice adventurers and anyone who wants a really relaxing game, hard core adventurers don't bother.
I recommend this game!

This is only my second Adventure game and only played the demo on this game. Although the storyline, sound and graphics are good the game itself is way too easy and holds your hand all the way, every item you are looking for sparkles when you hover over it, there are unlimited hints (shows you exactly where the item you are looking for is). I would say its more of a HOG than adventure. Basicly you are given a task to do (find all the pieces to a vase, assemble the vase, collect flowers to give to the girl etc) there are some puzzles, again way too easy. Everything is set for what you do next and can only be done in the set order. If you have never played an adventure game before or if you want a really relaxing game where you don't need to think then give it a go, otherwise stay clear.

NOT A TIME MANAGEMENT GAME

This game is more HO or puzzle than a TMG, although this is a time based game i.e find the HO's or solve the puzzle/riddle with a certain period of time, not what I would call a TMG.
Based on 1 hr demo. You click on a jigsaw puzzle piece which takes you into a area where there's food and pans etc then you have to find the items on a list (this is where the HO comes into it) which some of them can be a bit hard to find. Then you click on another puzzle piece where you have to solve a puzzle of some kind, again one or two was a little bit hard. I did have a puzzle/riddle to solve new the answer but when I clicked on the arrow buttons or anywhere else for that matter I could not get it to change from zero so was unable to complete.
There is quite a bit of text to go through between each setting and at the beginning of the game it was really lagging but as I progressed further into the game it didn't lag as quite as much.
Give it a go see what you think, but if you are expecting a game like "Built a lot", Farming games, or games where you serve customers etc where you actually produce or give some sort of service you will be greatly disappointed. It is basically a HO come Puzzle game. Personally I wouldn't even buy this as a HO game as its not my type of HO game either.

Enjoyed the game but there was no challenge what so ever even on the latter levels, it could have been so much better with more challenge. If you like a relaxed laid back game then this is for you, if you want something with a bit of a challenge don't bother with this one. It really did spoil the fun factor of the game.
