A very basic M3 game with minimal challenge. The music was mediocre and not very connected to the theme. Even though hints were turned off, there were still hints, and very quickly, so any hesitation gives you a suggested move. Maybe good for small kids, but I doubt they would care about the theme.

Lots of back and forth among uninteresting locations to pick up uninteresting items for uninteresting puzzles. The hidden object scenes were fine, somewhat confusing (chess piece identified as "horse," for example). The overall story was hard to follow, with no surprises. I finally abandoned it when it just became too much of a chore to trudge around the endless landscapes.
This felt like I was playing one of the early HOGs from the 90s. Very slow, bad sound and repetitive music, clunky graphics, and a very unresponsive graphical interface, so that things need to be clicked several times to work, and places that are correct to drop an item won't accept the item on the first try. The storyline is okay, if you have the patience to pay attention to it, but even going from one scene to the next is done at a plodding pace.
An enjoyable match three game with some twists along the way. The puzzles where you have a limited number of moves were quite challenging. There is supposed to be a relaxed mode where the lantern light never dims, but it doesn't work (I tried reinstalling, starting as a new player, etc. -- it's just not functional). That said, it's not all that hard to refill the lantern if you focus on it. I do think the game is too short, and even though you can buy access to secret areas, I couldn't find a map to get back to those levels -- you have to play through again to get the extras (if anyone knows better, let me know!). Overall, I liked it, but not enough to give five stars.

As others have said, this is essentially the same as the first game, and it can get pretty boring after a while -- the kind of game you can play while watching TV. The "plot" is lame and repeats the dialogue after a while. The battle scenes are fun at first, but after 50 or so levels, they become impossible. You can't even see what the opponent is doing, it moves so fast, and it seems like they get extra turns that the player never gets. I started skipping those, though I hate to not do all the tasks. In the earlier levels, there are puzzles involving cogs (easy) and pipes (can be challenging), but these seemed to stop after awhile, so it's just clearing rooms, which are all pretty much alike. Positives: the music is nice, and the puzzle where you have to tunnel down to the bottom provides a bit of a challenge. I feel like the makers of this game missed a lot of opportunity to make something fun, and decided just to make a quick buck instead.
I enjoyed the others in this series, but this one frustrated me so much I quit after several hours. If you hesitate for even a moment, the game tells you what your objective is, and it does this by darkening the rest of the screen so you can't even ignore the "hint" -- you have to click out of it. There are a lot of levels that basically just take over and play themselves, setting off their bombs and such, so if it's your idea of a good time to passively watch explosions you didn't set off, this may be your game. Even the insects just fly away after a while if you ignore them -- no challenge at all.I hope the developers listen to these critiques and get back to making a really fun game next time.
