Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing this demo and bought it with a credit straight away. There are many, many problems with the game play, but for some reason it is 'crazy addictive', for me anyway. Others have outlined the game play and it is quite evident on the goal of the game. The problems I found are that there are so many variables, it's just not funny. Some of which are the irregular shapes of the 'cargo' that has to be loaded. Their shapes affect the way 'they' bounce, roll and react through the various mazes. I understand that is part of the game but some shapes just make the microsecond time you've got to react an impossibility. Then replaying the very same stage you may not get that shape/colour at all and then you can pass it. But that's not all that stop's you from progressing. I found that even when getting the cargo in the correct shoots, a large percentage of the time, it would either get stuck on the lip or just fly off in another direction or even another shoot. Then there is the colourless suitcases that only show their colour once they are 'in play' so to speak. As you progress, you find that you really need to know what colour is coming and when it's this colourless case, you are really pushing your luck to guess where to steer it. Then there's the area of clicking to adjust the conveyor's, sprockets and ramps. I found this to be way too critical. If you weren't dead on with the mouse, you'd miss and therefore the cargo goes in the wrong direction. You have to watch multiple area's at once and therefore clicking the exact spot numerous times every second becomes tedious and very frustrating. I won't bother mentioning the electricity stages in details as they were beyond frustrating. I can't believe I didn't put the mouse through the wall with some of those stages. I'm currently about halfway through Peking (the last airport) and frankly, I don't see getting 3 stars on the remaining 6 or so stages a possibility for me. A warning, don't play this game to relax, it's not that sort of game.
I recommend this game!

It really reminded me of the old school Settlers I, II and III before they stuffed that up by going '3D'. Only one area/stage so to speak though, but it enlarges as you meet the goals to quite a decent size. No border scrolling which is a PAIN, it's click and drag. It takes time to understand what each building does and gives you. For example building A needs an upgraded building B to function at 100% and so on. I got stuck for a while trying to build up enough education points #or whatever they're called, I don't take notes# to move on further in the game. Surprise, surprise, I had to build more schools.. The further you go, the more your city grows. Planning is sort of essential but you do get the option to move buildings at a fairly cheap cost. The good thing is that if you have enough of each building, it really looks after itself and you just have to manage the money/manner side of things. I'd say about 15 hours of continuous gameplay. If you liked the original Settlers, then this is for you. I really enjoyed it. The only down side i found was 3/4 through, I was always way ahead of the requirements and the storyline did not acknowledge this. For instance, I'd built up that many educations points that I had already 'learnt' all the abilities. But the game would come up with message from 'the gods' quick learn this/build this, when I'd done it 2 hours before simply to spend the points I'd accured. Money caps out at 20,000 but towards the end you'll need every penny. A few acheivements I didn't earn during the game, luckily after completing the game and getting the girl, you can continue on and get the rest of them...If you're good enough :-)
I recommend this game!

If you're after a game that's not a click-a-thon or sick of the HOG's, then this is for you. It is visually stunning and an overall great game. While the storyline is nothing new (kidnapped female who needs to saved from "Mr Evil"), the means to do it is new to me. You're an oceanic creature of some sort and must collect "power up's" to become stronger to defeat the countless types of baddies trying to stop you. There's 50 stages in all, which should take you a good 12 hours to finish (I didn't time it, but it was days worth of gaming for me). While you may finish it and save the girl, getting all the acheivements is a different story(I finished Landgrabbers-General easier then this). So plenty of replay value (and I don't replay many games at all) to get those few remaining stars. So overall, a feast for the eyes, no stressful gameplay. The longer you play, the more strategic it gets. I'm glad I bought it.
