I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It was very refreshing to play a game with some original ideas. Not a single broken zipper in sight! I loved the 3 separate stories and the various decision options on offer. The bonus game was a good length and tied in beautifully with the main game. This is a return to good form for Mad Head. I hope they keep it up!
This is by far the worst game in this series. The puzzles are way too easy, The plot is awful and the character voices and acting are dreadful. I can find no redeeming features what so ever and I wish I had not wasted a game credit. I will never buy another Edgar Allen Poe title again!
I rarely review games because I would spend all my time picking the same holes. E.g. always a female lead character, always the same puzzles and HOPs, often too short or huriedly ended. Oh, and ALWAYS that annoying zipper pull!
This game surprised me hugely. Superb story line, the ability to be a male character, twists and turns that kept me engaged. Good length of game. The little scarecrow fellah was not over used and added a bit of amusement. Even the ending is not rushed, although I wish it could have shown what happens to The Game after the last puzzle is completed (can't be more specific without adding spoilers).
I enjoyed it so much that I can't help wondering whether I should have bough the CE instead.
I'm not going to bother with a shake down of the plot or anything else. Other reviewers have done that to good effect. All I want to say is that, if these devs want to make a game for adults, this is still way too weak an example. DON'T buy it on the warning basis. You'll be massively disappointed. It's about as intense as a supressed sneeze. Good enough to play on other merits, but not nearly worth a warning.

The sad thing about this game is that it could have been so much better. I have come to expect way higher standards from Elephant Games than this offering. Sure, the artwork and plot were fine, but the puzzles were way too easy and the hidden object scenes were a doddle. I completed both the main and bonus games in under 6 hours, which to my mind is very poor value for money. If you are a biginner at these games, then maybe it's worth a look, but I don't think so. My advice... Give this one a miss.
