I very much enjoyed this game. It was nice and long - - good story that kept me engaged and plenty of puzzles and HO scenes to keep me busy.
On the whole the puzzles were quite doable with a little thought. A couple were pretty frustrating, but that's my problem, not the creators of the game.
The graphics were clear and not too dark, so it was easy to find what you were looking for and get around.
The HO's varied. Some I could race right through and others kept me hunting for awhile. But that's as it should be.
As usual, I enjoyed MadHead's game. The story line was interesting and kept me caring about the outcome. There was tons to do, and I'll admit, I hit the hint button more than once. You travel to different realms saving your world(s) from extinction. I always look forward to their games and have every one they've put out on BigFish.
Unlike other reviewers, I enjoyed playing this. The puzzles were interesting, while not being hair pulling out difficult. I liked the story line. Being a hero is always nice. The game was a good length and held my interest to the end.
I don't know why I started playing the demo before purchasing. I've pretty much loved every title this company has put out. About 2/3's the way through the demo, I could tell I was going to love this game too. The graphics are clear and crisp, the voices are fine and the few puzzles I've done so far can be managed without sneaking a peek at the strategy guide. I also enjoyed the hidden object puzzles. So, I'll keep this short and say I think they've got another winner on their hands.
You want your money's worth? Well, this is it. This game has TONS to do. Throw in the added pressure of a time limit on chapters, and the stress level can shoot right up.
I had to restart one chapter 3 times, because I kept running out of time before getting to the end. I knew what to do, I just wasn't quick enough doing it. Finally had to skip one puzzle in a certain part in order to make it. But that's on me. Maybe you'll be quicker.
It really isn't so much about the story with this one, just tons of games to conquer. But that's okay. There are a number of "super" puzzles, and although they can be frustrating to figure out, they are also most satisfying when you do.
The graphics are clear and colorful, even though they are "throw back" to earlier games.
Loved the dark story behind this adventure. It kept the whole game going and had me wanting to see what was coming around the next corner.
The only quibble I have, is some of the scenes and hidden object searches were too dark, making it difficult to spot objects.
It moved along quickly and was over before I wanted it to be. No, I'm not saying the game was too short, just that I was enjoying it and didn't want it to end.
A mysterious plague casts a dark shadow on the people of Persia. The young apothecary Tara must discover the cause of the illness before it's too late!
From the stellar graphics to the wonderful interplay between characters, this game was just fun to play. The level of challenge may not have been terribly high, but the rest of the game totally made up for it. I was sorry when it ended.
I don't know why a few reviewers hated this game? Just finished it and enjoyed not only the play, but the story too. It is a good length, so worth the money. There were plenty of hidden object scenes and lots of puzzles (most of which I enjoyed).
The artwork is interesting and not run of the mill. If you like the show Survivor, you may think twice about wanting to compete on it after playing this game. :D
I recommend this game!

For a non-CE this is well worth the price.

I usually play the CE versions, but went with the regular on this one. I was very pleasantly surprised and both how much I enjoyed it and what a nice long game it turned out to be.
One thing about non-CE games, is you are forced to think through things, because you can't just pop open the strategy guide and peek at the solution for puzzles, etc.
I did end up skipping 2 puzzles. One, because it was an arcade type game and I totally suck at arcade games. The other one was a sliding puzzle and I'm pretty awful at those too. The rest of the puzzles ranged from very easy, to fairly challenging - - but they all are doable.
Anyway, it was a fun way to spend time on the computer.
As much as I have enjoyed this game, it has a big drawback for me. The scenes are too dark (at least on my computer). Even in the HO's, there were times I had to click on the hint, and then blindly click where indicated, because I could NOT see the object at all. I understand they were going for a mood, but at times it made the game very difficult to play.
It is a long and intricate game with areas where you have to solve a series of puzzles in one scene in order to move along.
I enjoy these kinds of brain teasers very much. I just wish there hadn't been so much eye strain to go along with the brain drain.
