True, that this game isn't a pretty wonderland of shiny things and colorful diversions. It's simply a game to focus your mind, skill, and problem solving ability.
You launch "marbles" into a field to either match 3, or more, or to knock things over. Its simplicity is needed to help train your trajectory.
This game was one I thought was going to be a "try it for a bit, then delete it to play something more evolved" sort of game......I was so wrong. I found myself lost in beating the challenges that were thrown at me and even caught myself leaning this way and that to somehow effect the path of the marbles.
This is not a game to passively drone on with to pass time, this is a game to help elevate your thinking or hone your gaming abilities. Kudos to the designer(s), this is a step up disguised as a basic marble popper.

I wouldn't have been drawn to this because of it's simple graphics, but having tried it I was happily surprised. This game seems an easy match three, but is harder than it seems.
You can only match the pieces by moving the line of items horizontally. This increases the level of difficulty and forces you to think ahead. There are helpers that you can use that you earn from game play, and the game gives you accomplishments as you go along. There are also nemeses that can steal your progress, but are easily (sometimes) fended off.
The music can be a bit repetitive but here's the trick...turn it off. Overall, I had fun with this and, though you can exit without losing your game, I found myself saying, "just one more floor". Play the demo before buying, but definitely try it.

This game is an absolute delight. You play as Emily who is getting back to work after having her baby. Serve customers in progressively challenging levels while keeping the little one happy. Customize each day's menu in accordance to the expected customers of the day. Some levels include a bonus challenge to meet as well as finding the mouse that pops up every day. Different restaurant locations will bring different challenges.
This is the 10th game in a saga that has a really beautiful, and endearing, story. Not only do I recommend this game, but when Big Fish gets it's prequels I would recommend those, as well. This series starts from humble beginnings, but developed into wonderful story play.

I stuck with it and enjoyed it. I played through, watched the credits, and still had 11 minutes to spare afterwards. No one holds your hand throughout the game, but everywhere that you can go is noted. Objectives flicker if you wait. The first place, Bimini, does have you bouncing back and forth to the same locations for info, but after that you generally have a pretty straight path. The hints are great, they tell you exactly where you need to be. Yes, they don't tell you exactly what to do, but if you're looking at one location, it becomes trial and error to figure out what to do. Don't be afraid to click around in this game. Once you play the first place, you understand the navigation and it really is a good game after that.

A great game that gets sort of addicting. This is what I call a "pathway" game. You follow paths to supplies and buildings that allow you to progress through your goals; establishing or renovating gardens. You earn money, job by job, to save and fix up your grandparents house as you work towards winning a gardening contest.
You're able to queue up actions or cancel them, one by one, with a right click. Awards are given out for accomplishments, though they don't tally were you are. For example, you get one for upgrading 1000 buildings. You never know if you're at 583 or 992. Also, you'd have to play levels multiple times to get other rewards. The music is great, difficulty levels vary, getting more difficult as you progress. Also, you vary the difficulty: play efficiently and wisely to get gold, or slow your pace, do what you'd like to do and forget about ranks.
There's also a bonus goal in each level that you're only given a hint to, fun to figure out and it lets you know, with a red or green color, whether you've attained the bonus before you finish the level.
Overall, a very fun game. I believe it to be one that everyone should have. Sort of a staple that you can go back to, and you'll want to.
Oh, one bit of advice. Don't build the ghost hunter shack until you absolutely have to. You'll understand why. ;-)

This is a great game, and challenging. Unlike other HO games, the objects in this are difficult to find sometimes-in a very good way. They're not always laying on a table or shelf, they might be part of another object, partially covered, or a silver object hidden in a roaring fire might appear gold because of the flames. Though the hidden objects are hidden, they're still "findable". This is difficult, not impossible.
No time limit means that you can make the effort to search. Mini tasks and trophies give you a sense of accomplishment, so that you're not just jumping from HO scene to HO scene. Could music, good graphics, and a bit of humor.
I bought this immediately and didn't stop until I finished it. Well done, designers, hidden within the light cartoon/graphic novel presentation is a hardcore hidden object challenge.

Keep in mind that I only played the demo.
This was a fun game that felt a little lighter than the darker games that I usually play. I enjoyed having to place objects in a scene rather than having to find a random list of items-it wasn't just "find the sword", but rather, "where would you, logically, put the sword?".
Game play and story moved at a steady pace without an abundance of dialogue that sometimes piles up on you. The mini games were sometimes easy and sometimes more challenging.
This is a game I will buy, though admittedly, others would have priority over it. I can't rave about it, but I enjoyed playing it. I'd recommend that you play the play the demo and see for yourself.
I recommend this game!

You'll read a lot of negative reviews for this game-I am not one of them. This is not a mindless, time passing game, it's not a "follow the bouncing ball" game, nor is it a mini interactive movie game. It's really a mental exercise, but it's still fun.
Each level has numbers that are very obvious, and some that are more obscure and almost impossible to find. It's almost like a jigsaw puzzle. Some pieces are easy to place, some you don't know how they fit until they're the only ones left.
This game is not for everyone, there is no story-each level is it's own puzzle. If you like Sudoku, jigsaws, crossword puzzles, stitching, and like hobbies, this is for you.
TRY this game, if it's not for you, you'll know. If it is your cup of tea, you'll really enjoy it.

I know that there are a lot of bad reviews for this, but this game is great! The audio gives a spooky feel, the visuals are realistic, and the story is intriguing.
You enter this ghost town to solve the mystery of the death of a girl, but unraveling the mystery just leads to more.
You have the ability to gather hints, and you'll need them. This is a hard game.
Most complain about the dark HO scenes--adjust your monitor's brightness, then there are no more dark corners.
Try out this game! Don't ignore it because others scored it low. You may enjoy it as much as I did.

This is one of my favorites. You play as an explorer going through new lands trying to find lost members of an expedition. Along the way you progress your own wealth and experience as you help the native people and vice versa.
It's like three games in one. It has the intention of a "pathway" game like "My Kingdom for the Princess", but the path is not a literal path that you have to follow. It has the adventure style of a game like "Aveyond", but with a more linear storyline. It also has the gameplay of something like "Timebuilder", where it is up to you to design the placement and order of build/update of buildings to strategically progress through the levels.
The music is beautiful, the setting is beautiful, and the time limits are actually realistic. Even if you don't make the faster goal time, you can still go on to the next level and continue the story.
There are also secrets in the game that you don't have to find to progress/win, but they act as extra incentive for your hero while you try to attain the main goals. The nice thing is, you're told how many secrets there are per level, so even though you're sometimes looking for needles in a haystack, you know when you've found all of the needles.
Best of all, even though it's challenging, it doesn't have the urgency of a typical timed game. You're able to reassess your plan during game play without getting stressed about it.
This is the closest that I've ever come to saying that this is a MUST BUY, but I always think that you should play the demo to see if it's right for you. I just can't imagine not enjoying this game.
