I normally like hand holding. There is absolutely none in this game. No hints, tips or answers. It is nothing like Syberia per se, but it reminded me of it. As I wandered around in a dazed state wondering......what the heck do I do now and repeating conversations over and over again. But once I figured out how to get the magnet out of the bin, and the keys out of the grate, it was full steam ahead and I feel very proud of myself for figuring it out (so far at least) without a walkthrough. I have surprised myself and I really like this game. Bit creepy too with the red eyed animals.
I recommend this game!

Just purchased and loved it.
A good challenge.
I had to re-start several levels more than once, as realised I had forgotten to build something and could not therefore proceed, or had used up all my resources and could not proceed.
Helps to teach you good organisational skills.
Initially thought this genre was boring and repetitive.....how wrong I was.
It was enjoyable and very very addictive.
Now plan to buy the rest in the series.
Thank you for a great game.
I recommend this game!

I brought the CE immediately upon finishing the free trial. This is unusual for me, as I normally add games to a wish list and buy them when I am more financially flush. I actually knowingly went overdrawn on my credit card to purchase this one before next payday!
I have used the hint button a couple of times and only needed the strategy guide once. I hate games where I wander around with a bag full of things and don’t have a clue what to do. This game had the odd moment like that, but on the whole it was free flowing and logical. I have enjoyed the mini games, skipped once or twice but I still enjoyed them very much. The storyline is great, the attention to detail and graphics are really fantastic and the music is good. I am really enjoying this game. I have been playing it for about five hours now. I like the longer games, as you feel like you are really getting your monies worth. One of the last games I brought The Witches Legacy was really enjoyable but I was disappointed and felt a bit ripped off at how short it was.
I only have one issue with Sins of the Fathers and that is sometimes it is hard to use objects unless you are very precise. I don’t want to spoil the story for anyone, so I will only give one example: in the cathedral I knew I had to use the lighter to melt the wax on the lock. But it would not work. In the end I used the hint button and it told me to use the lighter, which was something that I had already guessed. In the end after a few different positionings the lighter worked. I just found it a little frustrating to use the hint to be told what I already knew. This occurred a number of times throughout the game.
But apart from that little quibble, I highly recommended this game as a brilliant way to get through an otherwise boring, wet, cold and windy weekend!
I recommend this game!

I have not enjoyed a game this much for ages. Dire Grove and 13th Skull were the last two I enjoyed this much, and they came out ages ago. The Collectors Edition was worth every cent. The storyline, attention to detail and graphics were all superior and really just excellent. A good mixture of puzzles; some were easy, some were a challenge but I eventually got through and some required skipping. I had to use the hint quite often but that certainly did not detract from the game overall. I also managed to figure out many parts myself. So a good mixture to cover all levels.
I recommend this game!

I last played this game ten years ago.
I was very excited when I saw it on BFG, as it gives me the opportunity to revisit.
But I am a bit concerned about how many parts there are.
I recommend this game!
