My first issue is it seems exactly like the last game. I'd like new things to learn and try in each new one. Nothing big, just throw us a new feature here and there.
If you've played the other ones you don't need any directions as it is exactly the same as the last two. That said.,.. I can play the games over and over again.
I love that I can play it in relaxed mode or game mode. Some days you just need a getaway and have relaxed on and other days you want to beat the clock.
Those into a storyline, I felt I could not judge it as I have no patience for reading the storylines in any of the games I play (in any series). I'm glad they have it there for those who enjoy them.
I did the trial and am now going to go purchase the game. I wish they'd bring more of these types of games out.
I recommend this game!

I was worried because I saw so many people say they got stuck on a level. But I played it anyway. There is no unsolvable level. You just have to figure out how to solve the one. If you make the wrong move, you have to start over and figure out how not to make the wrong move. Easy once you figure it out. There were many different shapes of boards with each their own level of difficulties.
For fun I went ahead and built up 10 big fish tanks all with fish, and then built up a million coins and got to some really extreme levels. Interesting to note, you cannot go any higher than the million coins! So that was sad.
I recommend this game!

Playing on the normal level and trying to pick up the secret items seems to be impossible. I can watch it be done. I only play TM for the most part and am an expert at them. this is the first time I haven't played in expert mode and been able to get gold on a level. Don't get me wrong, I can get gold as long as I don't try for the secrets.
The speed up shoes are so far away that they are almost worthless and as I am barely out of time from gold with or without them, I don't see the point in them. I end up with the same time each time, shouldn't shoes speed me up like they claim?
I don't like games to be to easy and I like the challenge. I just also like to be able to complete all items within the gold standard if I work hard enough and playing a board 10 times with no change and still barely into the red shows me it's a bit too hard.
I love to play a game and work to get gold on hardest levels. Then go to the next difficulty level and beat it in a tiny bit more relaxed way but still fun. Then down and even more time to enjoy myself. That this had 4 levels my thought was wonderful.. I am really going to be able to go slow and enjoy myself after I beat the hard levels. But no. You still run out of time. Which I don't understand. I tend to enjoy cutting everything down and just goofing off and can't do that in here.
I also hate that you can't que the next thing to do.
I don't mind that they haven't 'developed' the game any further. Too often they ruin a series by changing it too much and that didn't happen. Since I have all the other games with this name I knew what to do. The secrets were hard to find and often took me trying several things to find them all since I don't like to use the cheat sheets that are offered online. I liked trying to find them. I wish they had stated before the board how many secrets to look for. But it is nice that they did so after finishing the board so I knew how many more to look for. Finding and cutting down the right tree to find something was hard. I like that though.
I'd buy it again, but I wish it were just a bit better.
I also can't stand that when you start a board you have to deal with the pop up talking thing. I don't care about the storyline. Give it to me before the game, not when I start a board.
I recommend this game!

As most other reviewers said, this is not a CE game! There are no bonus levels anywhere.
Also, it seems to me that these are just left over levels from the last two they made. The kids are new, but not in any kind of interesting way. Just a new item to pick up, that's it.
I almost always play with sound off and I could care less about the story lines so I skip through them all as fast as possible without reading them. They weren't so heavily invested in the story that it was annoying, which was nice. But enough that I think those who like story lines will find it okay.
Lastly, I think there were only two boards that were somewhat difficult to get them done in time. The boards were way to easy in the hardest mode. I like a challenge. With Expert level on I was watching tv and kept up on the show quite easily. Normally with Expert or high difficulty in games I can't do that.
The only extra is wallpaper which is useless to me. I have never once used a game as wallpaper. I never will.
I was disappointed! If I had to do it over, I'd probably not buy it and wait for it to go on some clearance price down the road somewhere.
I don't recommend this game.

Another one of those games that rely upon going from one room to the next for every little thing instead of making interesting things to do in each room. 70% of the game is just moving back and forth between the screens. And that isn't something I enjoy doing.
There is also no real help in knowing what you are supposed to do in some of the games. And if you are using a laptop without a mouse some of the fight scenes are nearly impossible.
The HO's are not very difficult, and some of the items are not what they claim. IE: They asked for a pitch fork and finally I clicked a shovel and that was accepted.
Some of the games are really hard, which are great.
The storyline was interesting enough, yet I am more about the game than the story. If I wanted to watch a movie I would do so. There aren't ton of cut scenes like other games, which was a good thing in my book.
I don't recommend this game.

Wish it had been longer, but it certainly was an interesting game! I would suggest this one to anyone.
They don't rely on dark screens to hide objects in the HO games. Everything is light and bright. I also like that some of the sections in the HO games you had to do other things besides just find things. I can do with or without that feature though so no extra points for it.
Had there been a few more HO games, I'd have given this a higher rating, or maybe if the game just lasted longer. Always sad when a game is over with within 3 or 4 hours.
Personal score for this game is based on a 10 star system. And I'd give this 8.5 stars. A little more difficult, a little more HO games, and for it to take a little longer... it would be a 10.
I recommend this game!

60% of this is cut scene. Great if you are in the mood for a movie. 20% is simply running back and forth between the screens. 5% is HO games. 15% are match the object and other types of games.
The first two Hidden Object games are used twice and nothing much of a change.
With half of the cut scenes I'd think this would be great for a kid. But think even a kid is going to get bored with lack of game.
Love most of the hidden object games on this and other sites. But I'd not categorize this as a hidden object. Instead I'd say it's more of an adventure game. go to one screen, see you need a key, go back two scenes and get the key, come back and open the lock. Find that you now need another item to use next like a bottle, have to go back two screens to get that next. And so forth. That isn't a spoiler since what the game is like and not what to do in any given scene.
Out of 10 stars, I'd have to give this a 2. Graphics were beautiful and earn the 2 points. Story line was interesting but a bit too repetitive. So sad... so many great reviews that I feel lied too. Wouldn't have spent time on this waiting for it to get better. Short game, I think I spent 3 to 3.5 hours on it.
I don't recommend this game.

I really missed being able to upgrade things, like the well and farms. I don't actually care to have to collect the money and send them for food and water. Trying to keep up with clicking for water, food and money, without a mouse wasn't easy as I am on a laptop.
I didn't see a difference after upgrading the people in the castle. They have a warehouse that does absolutely nothing except make you feed and water it too. Which was pointless to the extreme. I'm used to the warehouse giving you extra of whatever you are collecting.
There are no three stage levels of winning. Just big crown and small crown.
Lastly, they give you a bonus to find in every level but more than half of the time it wasn't twinkling so it was hard to find. I just had to click all around until I got lucky. I liked that the bonus was never in the same place twice when starting over a level, made that at least a little more interesting.
I still purchased the game after the trial was over and am happy I did. Would have liked more than 45 levels, but seems the price is the same and half the levels these days.
I recommend this game!
