I enjoyed the trial hour very much. No surprise since Lost in Reefs by the same developers is one of my favorite M-3's. Beautiful graphics, 3 modes of play (swap without having to click the 2nd tile  , chain, and group). There are several powerups which you earn as you make matches. The Shuffle button fills fairly quickly also as you make matches. As you earn points, you can "build" your village. It's simplistic, with no choices other than to keep upgrading til complete. That said, it's a nice little break from the M-3. To my mind, it's beautiful in a whimsical fairytale way. There is a choice of Timed or Relaxed which you can easily change. There are several trophies too. I didn't try the mini-game more than once since I was in the trial, so I wonder if the Snail Race is purely a matter of chance and intended just to be an extra little relaxation. Although there is a trophy for it too, so of course I'll do it often enough to win that one. :D I played the trial in Timed mode so I learned how the game warns you that you are nearly out of time. It's a nice chime tone  , rather than the heart-beat thump which made me so nervous in Cradle of Rome and Cradle of Egypt. Still, even though it's a gentle warning, I'll likely play more of it Untimed. I had a PCC expiring ini 4 days, so snapped up this beautiful relaxing game today.

A bit slow to grab me, I realized about half way through the trial hour I was liking this alot!
The pokey pace of the progress bar did give a lukewarm first impression, but otherwise, the game worked flawlessly.
I like the easy-going feel. I think they expected us to explore and find the active areas. I really do enjoy poking around to see what I can see, and if there's a click penalty, my exploration never triggered it.
The Hint Button is helpful, even outside of HOS, so that's a plus. I like the hand-drawn graphics. The music I'm not so fond of, but that's what the separate game sliders are for, so can turn that down but still keep other game sounds.
There are achievements. To see those, click on the Jewels in the lower left corner. I frequently replay a game to collect those I may have missed on the first round, so that is a plus for me.
All in all, it's a smooth, peaceful sort of game -- no tearing my hair around with dark gray gross scenes. I like it and I bought it.

I was so irritated by those pesky pests that keep popping up and wreaking havoc with my boards that I almost didn't buy this. But when BigFish threw me out at the end of my hour, only then did I realize that I actually was enjoying the game, despite the pests. :)
Each pest actually has their own particular brand of nasty which they crawl around and plant on your boards. So the sooner you whack them or the sooner you make matches under them, the more quickly you can clear the board. Since they continue to plant chains, metal blocks, and gold squares, getting rid of them quickly is part of a winning strategy.
Do I think it unnecessarily complicated things from a fast/repetitive click point of view? Yes!! That fast/repetitive clicking can really hurt! It was almost enough to keep me from buying, but once I read in the forums that making matches under the pests got rid of them too, it helped.
The powerups are gradually unveiled and most are actually pretty helpful. They seem to charge a bit slowly at the beginning of each board, but re-charge much more quickly. It's Chapter 5 before you get the powerup to "kill all monsters".
There is 1 Hidden Object scene for each of the 6 chapters. Some tiny items and dark/indistinct items, but hints are available. There is a fairly basic awards system.
There are approximately 65 levels spanning the 6 chapters. After completing the first round, I got the message "Congratulations, Expert Mode is Unlocked". I started Expert mode this morning -- all I notice so far is that the pests seem to be come more quickly and they are more prolific doing their pesky board changes.

In timed mode, Farm Quest is a unique mix of Match-3 with Time Management "extra chores" to keep you clicking. The matches you make feed the animals, so have to keep an eye on their hearts' desires at all times. Then there are extra chores to click such as the sheep which runs across the upper screen, the apples that fall from the tree, the fox that runs through, the mole that pops up, and the eggs that will hatch if you don't click quickly enough. Oh yeah, you also need to try to collect the power-ups for the dog, cat, rooster, and pig. You're also trying to clear the yellow (dirty) tiles. As you earn $$, the things you buy give benefits or add chores. You have no choice where to locate the items -- the shadows show the items' costs/benefits. In untimed mode, it's definitely less of a Time Management challenge and more of a plain match-3. While many folks are insisting this is "just for kids", IMO it offers plenty of challenges with a bright busy combo of Match-3 and Time Management. One last point, the music is definitely an acquired taste, but fortunately there are separate sliders for music and for game sounds.
