The developers stated that MCF: The Dalimar Legacy would be the LAST true MCF. related game No more Charles, Madame Fate, Ravenhurst connection. I will no longer buy MCF games, they will be like any other Adv./HO game.
I really thought this was going to be a Rose Riddle game. Nope, it's a dark story set up just like an Alice's Wonderland game. When I say dark, the story and screen are dark. The items to gather are small and confusing. I never did figure out what the shops provided, including the random growing things that you can collect. I have never given this low of a review, I just rather not write bad reviews but I was so disappointed and did not want others to be confused as I was. Who's who, what's what?? Oy Vey!
I have really liked this game in the past. Repetitive, yes, but it has always been challenging and fun. If you played this series before you know how it looks and plays. Now... "Katy" cooks as well as serve. All "Bob' does is chop slowly (no upgrade on Bob). Things may change since I have only completed the demo but I doubt it. So, nope I will not be buying this game. Play for yourself, maybe you will like the changes. Therefore I will recommend this game for others to try. To each there own. Enjoy!
I have played Season One over ten times, I'm playing it currently...again and then I saw Season Two. It is Same... do what you want, put buildings and people where you want. There are still caches to collect. The game is the same with a different atmosphere of elven land. Beautiful. There are some new objectivities to accomplish. They also brought in some aspects from "Roads to Rome" games. It is it's own beast. There is relax, easy, med(?), and hard levels to play. I always play in relax, no timer, because I want to explore and see the scenery like I'm in another land. I can't say enough about how much I like this games as a TM player. Enjoy!
I have the other two in this series and play them over and over. Never with the same strategy, you are in control of your adventure. There is no right or wrong way to advance. Gather goods laying around, complete tasks to gain food, money and status. Help towns folks and nobles to reach your goals. There are differences In this one and a new story line. I am addicted to HotK #3. I could barley stop to let you know how much I recommended this game. It is a different kind of game... strategy, creative thinking and a good memory. Give it and try and some time, and if you truly like adventure you will love this game. IMHO Enjoy! Used a credit... what a gift :)
I bought the CE version and I'm not finished yet. Really my average, after level one, is one star, which you get even if you do not finish in time. There is some strategy, which I like. I have had to restart many levels. I have humbly or humiliatingly gave up by the second section on getting more than one star. It was imposable for me. I needed 6-8 minutes not 4 or 5. Example... I can get 3 star on Royal Envoy every time. It was just fun and made me think, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Enjoy!
I bought the CE version and just finished. I had waited to buy because of the bad reviews. I have every PuppetShow games and was beginning to get disappointed... but this one blew me away! It was like playing one of the first PS's and kind of like MCF. I played slow and had so much fun with the collections and story. I went away from all HOPA's for over a year except MCF even though I HATE EPIX. They are just so-so now, IMO. I went into Time management games instead. This current PuppetShow has brought me back to hope in HOPA's. I will start trail versions again on other games, and I hope I come across another one like this one again soon. Enjoy.. play what you love and have a blast!
This is a fun "Delicious" game. I like it better than Heart's medicine and the latest Emily game. The story is fun, as well as the locations. It may even tie into a later Emily game story version? It would be a good one if they do. The game play is easy to get 3 stars in Normal mode. I had to replay some over because of the mini-games. So there is challage. I know it is not like the old Sally games, but I have become very fond of the "Delicious" style of play. And I love the story line. So fun! Demo it, of course. Buy if Emily is a favorite, there are many of her "people" that show up.
I have the previous ROOMS game and I loved it. Smart. Challenging. Different. I was bummed when I tried to play the first version on my new Win10 comp. So...I was happy to see a new one that works with Win10. It also seems more challenging or at least there are new things to over come that were not there in the first ROOMS. I agree with one reviewer, the girl is too sad. Wish she felt like she was on an adventure like I do. Not a game you finish in a day or two. You have to think. I can only finish up to or less than a mansion a day. Just like my beloved Governors of Poker II, this game is almost endless. Enjoy!
There are only 3 game series I buy without Demo, Weird Park is one of them. Just fun, funny & different. Yes, on the easy side but worth a game credit or sale 4 sure. I have now played 4 over an hour and am happy once again. MCF & The Snark series are the others I buy w/o Demo.
