When the original Toy Defense game came out a few months ago, I was hooked instantly. So when I saw this game and that it had new levels and new weaponry I was so excited, that didnt last long. So, this game is exactly like the original except there is a new level called Die Hard (desert location) which contains 24 levels and you have to pay for upgrades or become an advertiser for the game to acquire free stars which are needed to upgrade your units. You have 2 choices buy stars from the in-game store for real money (which I would never be willing to do- I like to replay my games too much to ever waste money like that). The in-game store prices: 0.99 for 500 stars, $2.99 for 2000, $3.99 for 3500, $4.99 for 5000, $9.99 for 12000, $19.99 for 30000. If you'd like to take the free route: you'll get 25 free stars for a tweet, 100 free stars to 'like' on facebook, or 25 free stars to post on facebook. Why bother making a game thats free for us to download the entire version but then charge real money to upgrade anything or be forced to have to do advertising for this company by tweeting, liking, & posting on stupid websites. What about those of us who dont use twitter or facebook ( I cant stand those sites ), someone like me would have to pay if I want to upgrade. Also there are new upgrades: Protective Barrage: destroys enemies near the base youre not given access to it until you pass 12 levels or spend 700 stars just to get TWO FREE USES! Repairmen: Towers are repaired automatically for free for 60 seconds, 100 stars will get you 3 free uses. Resurrection: allows you to revive a single defeated unit, but its available to you until after 7 levels of play, or you can unlock it immediately for 300 stars & get only 3 free uses out of it. Lastly theres Squashing: Squash enemies by clicking on them, not available until level 17, but you can unlock immediately for 1500 stars to get a measly 5 free uses. And of course theres still the regular upgrades from the original game & the price of stars to purchase them is still the same. Now take a look at the star prices to upgrade and then look at the tiny amount of stars they give you to advertise for them on twitter and facebook.....YOU'LL BE LIKING, TWEETING, & POSTING ALL DAY JUST TO BE ABLE TO UPGRADE ANYTHING. Of course this was intentional because they WANT you to PURCHASE the stars with real money. So unless you have money to throw away (because the upgrades even if purchased with real money will only be good for THAT GAME) What happens when you want to play the game over again fresh. I've played the original Toy Defense over 5 or 6 times since it came out, and the fun of it was selecting new upgrades that I didnt take the last time. You could never do that with this game, unless you want to pay through the nose or spend your entire day on Facebook & Twitter! They chose the wrong title for this game....it is not free play. I hate to say it because I LOVE the game but for these reasons, I dont recommend the game. I'm sure there are ppl who wont care about spending money that way, or those who spend all day on facebook & twitter anyway, so they wont care. I play these games as a way to relax from a hectic day, the last thing I want to think about is having to spend hard earned money over and over again or having to do the social network thing. Love the game, hate the conditions that come with it.
I don't recommend this game.

Unlike some of the other reviews, I dont think this is the worst game ever BUT its definitely not a game I would spend money on. Its a hidden object game with numbers instead of objects. The numbers range from 1-40 and you have to find them within the scenes. There are several things the developers did wrong with this game. 1) There is no hint button, 2) There are penalty clicks for EVERYTHING (if you click on a # that you've already found it will highlight that # in your find list, indicating that you've already found that number, but if you click on anything that is not a number, you instantly receive a 10 second deduction penalty---EVERY SINGLE TIME). So when searching the scenes and you think you may have found a number, if you click it and turn out to be wrong, you've just lost 10 seconds of time. 3) Some of the numbers are backwards, others made out of objects within the scene and can barely be recognized as a number at all (ex: rose petals scattered in a corner that just look like a pile of lord knows what, but it turned out to be a number). In the beginning youre given choice of 7 different scene types to choose from: Trivia, Old City, Epic Journey, Evolution, Sight Seeing, Seasons, & Americana. Each scene type brings you to locations relevant to the title - theyre all very beautiful scenes -graphically. Each scene is given a 5 minute timer that begins counting down immediately & if you don't find all of the objects within the 5 minutes you can still advance on to the next level. Overall I like the idea of searching for numbers, this type of game hasnt been released in awhile. However, this game was poorly made for all the reasons I listed above and its one that I definitely would not buy. Enjoy the free trial because a purchase is just not worth the money.

When I first downloaded this game I didnt have high hopes for it being good honestly, but was pleasantly surprised. This is a straight HOG with mini games thrown in. Most of the objects are easy to find but some are cleverly hidden, adding just the right amount of challenge for a relaxing game. I did notice a few language errors, ex: you're told to look for jewels but its actually a jewelry box (which doesnt look like a jewelry box, looks like a round decorative tin). A few misspelled words, but you can still make out what theyre asking you to find. Music isnt too bad and scenes arent so long that you lose interest. Mini games are fun, a few thrown in there I havent seen in a game in awhile. Overall not a bad game. If you like straight hidden object games, you'll like this one. But if youre more into the adventure HOG's you may get pretty bored with this after awhile. I enjoyed it though. My one complaint is that on the mini games there are no instructions telling you what to do, you have to click the hint button just to find out what youre supposed to do.

I've been waiting forever for BF to put out a great hog that didnt include dead people, ghosts, spirits, etc. I enjoyed this game so much, the hour trial seemed like it was over in minutes, its highly addictive. The storyline is beautiful, what he does to save his wife from her illness & what they do to save their farm. Some of the dialogue is downright hilarious. The music during the hos is absolutely beautiful. I had actually decided to purchase the game during the first hos the minute I heard the music. I think I wouldve purchased this game even if it were horrible, just because of the music during those scenes. Youre given lists of objects to find throughout various parts of the farm. All the while youre still tending to the farm, planting seeds, upgrading things, etc. A loan was taken out against the farm and your job is to help save the farm from foreclosure. Definitely something a lot of people can relate to in this day with the economy the way it is. The graphics are great, objects arent hard to find, some a little too easy to find-but still its enjoyable enough to keep your attention. It actually helps the game move along at a good pace. And if youre a fan of soothing instrumental music, this game is for you. I was drawn to it immediately (although the music doesnt match the theme of the game, its absolutely beautiful). Definitely a must have game for any hog enthusiast.
As darkness falls, strange dreams from the past haunt Dianne. Help her uncover the hidden secret that lies within her dreams and unravel a love story that’s lost within time.
I loved the game from what I got to play during the VERY SHORT DEMO they give you. The graphics were amazing, storyline couldve been better. HO scenes were great and cleverly hidden, and "interactive". In some scenes you must find certain objects to pair with or repair others. It includes "spot the differences" scenes as well, where youre given 2 scenes and you have to spot the differences between the 2. The game is very well put together. However the demo is NOT an hour long, its only 36 minutes and in that time there isnt enough to do to really get a feel for what the rest of the game will be like. The only complaint I have is sometimes the game lacks directions: during some of the scenes you'll see flashing spots, so you know you have to search that area. But after you find everything in that room, there is no way to leave the room and no instructions to tell you what to do. But what you have to do is: scan your mouse all over the room and look for it to change into either a magnifying glass or into spinning gears, and then search that area (after you encounter this once you know to expect it in upcoming scenes, but instructions wouldve been nice). You can leave certain rooms by holding your cursor at the bottom of the screen and clicking when the arrow appears, but not all rooms have this option. Also, the hint button takes FOREVER to recharge. Those 2 things are my only complaints. I havent purchased it yet (probably will) but overall this a great HOG with amazing graphics- granted this review is based only on the measly 36 minute demo.
I recommend this game!

Amusement World!
Enjoy a thrilling and delightful romp through a world-class amusement park!
Warning: Dont play this game on an empty stomach...This game is colorful, bright, and cheery. It's a great game for children. Some of the tasks are a little challenging -looking for brightly colored tickets in a brightly colored amusement park & you need those tickets in order to play the booth games to be able to advance. Overall its an easy game that I do think will appeal to the younger gamers. I was a bit bored with it, didnt finish the demo (all of the sweets did make me seriously hungry though lol). There are lots of mini games and seek and find scenes as well. The game is cute, I'd recommend it if you have little ones.

I thought this was going to be an actual fighting game, its not and in the words of Simon Cowell....That was absolutely dreadful! Omg, I felt like I was thrust back into the early 90's, just horrible. The music was okay (end scene music actually sounds like the music from the original Sonic the Hedgehog game), storyline was okay, but this is not only a sleeper, its also a confusing sleeper. There are no clear instructions other than how to use the controls in the beginning. Not even arrows telling you which walkways to go down, so you can easily end up walking in circles. There are 3 or 4 different fighting styles/defend styles to choose from. None of the fighting commands are explained & no matter which one you choose they all seem to do the same thing anyway. The graphics are a step up from the days of Atari or Colecovision. The whole thing was just awful. I dont usually like games with a lot of talking between the characters but in the case of this game the dialogue was the best part, and thats not saying much.

This game actually surprised me because I don't usually like these types of games. The storyline was good, music is good, instructions easy to follow along and pick up. Youre given tasks to complete, many from the natives. In exchange for your help they either give you things you need or show you where to find items that can help you. There is a lot of speaking interaction between you and the natives of the land. You restore houses, boatyards, watchtowers, etc and also build new buildings and gardens for food. Unlike most building games money isnt used to make buildings here. Each building requires a certain amount of food, wood, (& sometimes silver but mostly food & wood) to erect. In chapter 1 your shown a barrel one time, youre told to smash it because it might contain something good. Never again are you instructed to do that but the barrels occasionally show up...smash them...they usually contain food or gold. Also clay jars show up in chapter 2, you'll want to smash those as well. Sometimes you'll see planks of wood stacked randomly... search the forests and shores and if you see the stacks click them to have one of your workers pick it up. This is especially helpful if youre running low on resources. The game never instructs you to pick them up I just realized that I could by trying it out. For food, besides the gardens you build you can also pick berries from the trees once they turn ripe. That helps a lot because each garden only harvests 5 pieces of food & sometimes you'll need 15 or 35 to build something. Also, unlike most games if you need more men you pay for another worker, not in this game. Here, if you need more men you just build another house for the workers or upgrade the command station, which is cool. I'm pleasantly surprised by this game because this isnt the type of game I usually buy or play, but I'll be purchasing this one.

After playing the full demo I liked it enough to purchase it. I don't understand why some are saying it takes too many clicks to achieve the goals...etc, because the game is actually not challenging enough, but it is fun to play. It reminded me a lot of Fashion Boutique (without the challenge). It's a fun, simple, & easy game to play. Even in the beginning levels (before upgrading) its easy to get through a day without losing customers. That is probably my only complaint, its not challenging enough. But if you love tm games and would like a game that you can just relax with, this might be for you.

I liked this game enough to purchase it but it does have a few things that drop the enjoyment level for me. In the first park you're given a lot of space to design your park & different challenges to meet so that you can advance. But once you get to the other parks there is insufficient room for everything that you're required to buy to advance. In fact the Pier park and Forest park have so little building space that it makes it almost impossible without clashing noisy rides with quiet ones, bright rides with dark ones..etc. Also, found a glitch with certain rides that I purchased. I purchased a ride and placed it in the park. But then about 15 mins later that very same ride showed up as a new ride for me to "research"....this happened in 2 different parks. Other than these 2 things its actually a very fun game, not very challenging but fun none the less. Great for those who love to design.
