Like the original Burger Shop, I love this game! For anyone that has played the original, the gameplay is the same. There is a conveyer belt full of different items, and you have to choose those items in any order you want to fulfill customer orders. At the end of each level you choose something to add to your shop, whether it be a new item or ingredient or a type of power-up that will help in different ways.
One major thing that this game has improved over the original is the variety of food options. Not only do you sell burgers and other lunch-type items, they have also added breakfast and dinner items. The levels rotate between the three types of meals. There are also new types of customers to serve. The game is also long- there are a ton of levels, and as you go through the game, new modes of play will open up as well. Story mode is the only one available when you first start the game.
There is hardly anything in this game that needs improvement. The storyline is pretty good, although not spectacular. It's interesting in that there's a bit of a mystery going on, but it's certainly not the highlight of the game. As far as challenge, I have been able to get perfect so far on most levels, and expert on others. I have not found it difficult to beat the levels at all, but I know things will get harder farther into the game. Overall, excellent game, and one that I know I will come back to over and over again.
I recommend this game!

My Farm Life
Plant and harvest crops to produce the goods your customers want, all while smiling for the cameras in My Farm Life!
I just got finished with the demo on this one and promptly bought it. I have had a lot of fun with this one so far. Like several other time management games I've looked at recently, you are responsible for a farm. You buy, plant, and grow crops in addition to taking care of a variety of animals that will provide you with milk and eggs among other things I'm sure. There are various pieces of equipment that can turn these things into more complex products. Of course there are goals you have to meet in each level.
The game has an excellent tutorial that does a great job of explaining how the game works and also reminds you of things that you should be doing, like buying extra animals or letting you know different crops are available. As the game progresses you get access to assistants that can help you do things like water and harvest your crops. The upgrades you make on your farm carry over from level to level, and your farm grows in size as well.
One thing I really love about this game is that you can choose to arrange your farm however you want. The layout is completely up to you, and you are able to move things around anytime you want. This comes in very useful as the size of your farm and your goals change. I feel that the game is adequately challenging. While I have been able to get expert on many levels, there have been a couple that I didn't, and one level that I had to replay completely. The storyline and graphics are very cute and definitely add something to the game. I recommend this game- especially if you can get it with the daily deal price.
I am thrilled that I got this game on a Daily Deal. Honestly, I think I would have paid full price for it. This game is super cute. If you like any of the Sim building games, or games like Roller Coaster Tycoon, you will love this one. You can build whatever you want, wherever you want as long as you meet the level goals along the way. There is even a sandbox mode if you want no restrictions.
While the game isn't nearly as detailed as Roller Coaster Tycoon, it is still very well done. There are still many types of buildings, accessories, and plant life to choose from. You can hire employees such as janitors, security personnel, and engineers. In each level you have specific goals to meet- for instance upgrading or building a specific type of facility, or finding certain objects that have been lost. You hop from island to island, building a resort on each one. Each island has five levels to it, and you improve your resort on that island through each level.
This game is as challenging as you want it to be. You don't really have a time limit to the levels, but there is an expert score you can try to reach if you so desire. I personally haven't bothered with the expert score yet- I get so sidetracked trying to build up and improve my resort that I lose track of time. The storyline is good although nothing spectacular. Quite frankly, the graphics blew me away. I really didn't expect a game of this quality for the price. I feel like I've ripped off Big Fish Games by getting this one for $2.99. Well worth the money.
So this isn't the greatest game ever, but I enjoyed playing it and although I wouldn't pay full price for it, I felt it was worth the $2.99 DD price tag. For anyone that is familiar with Jane's Hotel, this one is very similar in the way it's played. Rather than serving guests in a hotel, you are taking care of animals in a zoo. You can see in a thought bubble what the animals need and help them accordingly. Their needs include eating particular foods, having their enclosures cleaned and watered, and taking them out for exercise among other things.
In addition to taking care of the general needs of the animals, there are also a few "hidden object" minigames between the regular levels. I use the term pretty loosely- you are basically trying to clean up trash sprinkled around various landscapes. It's not exactly hidden, but some of the things are a bit more challenging to spot. Also of note is that there are also minigames within the regular levels. For instance, if you give an animal exercise, you have to choose the workout that makes the animal happiest. There are several types of these minigames in each level.
The storyline in this one is ok in that it's sufficient to explain your activities during the game. The graphics are also ok. The levels for me have not been a big challenge- I have gotten expert on every one I've played so far- but they do keep you on your toes. You always have something to do, and while an expert score is not difficult to come by, it will seem like you're working hard for it. Getting expert on levels is pretty important for this game- if you don't, you may not be able to buy upgrades that could benefit your zoo. I wanted a game that wasn't super difficult that I could still enjoy playing, and something that didn't make me think too much. This one works for that.
I really like this game. It has a great storyline that keeps evolving as the game goes on. I don't consider this to be a time management game at all. As others on here have said, this is a resource management game. You're building up a city and need to make certain buildings to obtain different resources that can be used to expand your civilization.
Unlike most games of it's kind, there is just one continuous level. Whatever you build from the beginning stays with you throughout. As the game goes on, you get the opportunity to earn relics that will help clear the rest of the game board so that you can expand. Along the way you are given different tasks to complete that will earn you different types of resources. There are also hurdles thrown at you that you must overcome.
I don't consider this a time management game because you are not timed at all. You can take as long as you want to finish your tasks, however you need to do the tasks in order to expand your empire. I can definitely see myself replaying this. I wasn't familiar with the game when I started, so my city was build a bit haphazardly. I think I'll go back and see if I can make things neater and more efficient.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because there really is no challenge. It is an impossible game to lose unless you're completely inept and ignore the problems in your city. For some people this lack of challenge might be a turn-off. I plan to play the game when I want something fun to pass the time without being stressed.
I wanted to like this game. At first glance it was pretty cute- I mean you got a puppy at one point that would dig up gold for you! However, the more I played it the more bored I got with it. It was on a daily deal, and I almost bought it without playing the demo, but I'm glad I decided to try it first instead. I played about a half hour of it and quit.
There's not much of a storyline here. You're basically given this farm to improve, and you have to grow certain crops to meet different objectives. In later levels you buy equipment to make your crops into different products like sunflower seed oil and popcorn. Then you sell these products via a delivery truck that comes and goes from your farm. As your plants are growing you have to take care of them- the better care you take, the more product your crop can produce.
It sounds fun, but honestly it gets really old, really fast. Several of the levels had the same objectives- they just asked for different quantities of things. The actions you must take are very repetitive. With the exception of having to shoo some sheep away occasionally or feed your dog, there is nothing that keeps you from using the same methods time and again to meet your goals. I just found this game underwhelming, and highly recommend that you play the demo if you're still thinking about buying it after reading all this.
I don't recommend this game.

Diner Dash: Flo Through Time
Join Flo and take a dash to the past and future, serving up delicious dishes in this temporally twisted Time Management game!
I got this game for $2.99 on a daily deal and I'm actually regretting it. I didn't demo it- I didn't really feel a need to. Although I've never played this game on a PC, I used to have Diner Dash for my phone and absolutely loved it. I have also played very similar games to this one on my PC. This game is not nearly as fun as those other games were.
As with the other Diner Dash games, you are trying to run a restaurant. You have to seat your guests, take their orders, pick up their food, etc. There are also other little obstacles like spills to clean up and unruly patrons that upset other customers.
This game is identical to the Diner Dash game I had on my phone with the exception of the theming of the restaurants and the storyline. I think my main problem with this one is that there's no learning curve. Once the tutorial is over, watch out, because there is no mercy given on even the early levels. In the original game- and, in fact, with most games- you were eased into things to get the hang of it and then levels would get harder as you went along. I'm still in the first world with this game, and I'm not sure I want to go further. I think I'm a pretty decent player of time management games, and I usually don't have a problem finishing a game or getting expert on most levels. I certainly don't mind a challenge, but I was so stressed out after playing the first few levels I had to stop. As much as I liked my other version of Diner Dash, I can't recommend this one unless you love super difficult games.
I don't recommend this game.

Satisfashion
Design outfits, study makeup trends, coordinate shoes, skirts, dresses, and send your models out on the runway for the big buyers.
I didn't finish the demo. Maybe I should have- perhaps the game would've gotten better, but I doubt it. I'm a very creative person, and I normally love games involving fashion or making things. To me the game was very formulaic, and there weren't a lot of choices as to how you dressed your models. To be fair, this is something that probably gets better as you play since you are able to buy additional clothes in the game, but that fact was not enough for me to keep playing.
For each fashion show you do, you have to keep in mind what style is supposed to be used, and what season it is. You know which clothes and makeup apply to these because of the little icons next to each item you can use. When you go to pick things for your model to wear, you simply pick the color or clothing item that has the icon you need. It's less about creating outfits, and more about making sure you're you're picking an item appropriate for the event. I hated the choices- in many cases there were only a couple of tops/shirts/shoes to choose from, and I couldn't even pick the colors or patterns on those items- they were all just pre-determined.
I wasn't even impressed with the items that you actually did get to design. You choose from a bunch of already made styles of different clothing pieces. You are able to choose the color of the item, a simple pattern to add if you want, and the color of that pattern. There were only about a dozen colors to choose from. It was all very simplistic.
I'm not sure what the age range on this game is supposed to be, but I could imagine that a young child- elementary school age, perhaps- may like this one. I think that anyone older is going to find this to be too easy and not very entertaining. It definitely wasn't for me, and I kind of wish I had that 20 minutes of my life back that I spent on this game.
I don't recommend this game.

Stand O'Food
This exhilarating arcade game challenges you to feed a host of hungry patrons before they leave in a huff!
I decided to play the demo on this game thinking that I would really like it. I adore the game Burger Shop, and this looked like a similar setup. While the games are very similar, I came away from playing this game unhappy and frustrated. I didn't even finish the demo.
The object of this game is to fill customer orders using the ingredients provided on multiple conveyer belts. You have to fill orders in the order ingredients are available since some ingredients can get stuck behind others. There is a plate- and you can add additional plates with upgrades- that you can use to set an ingredient aside. You must put the ingredients together in the right order, or if you have the right ingredients in the wrong order, have a carry-out box handy to place everything in.
I usually do pretty well with time management games- I don't always get expert on everything, but I can beat most levels pretty easily. I got through the first few levels of this with no problem, but then I started having issues. I think the thing I didn't like was that there was no trash can- at least not that I could see. If it was there, the tutorial didn't point it out. I found that if I accidentally grabbed too many of one ingredient and didn't have a place to put it, that there was absolutely NOTHING I could do. You weren't allowed to put something back on the conveyer belt, and you only had so many plates to put extra ingredients on. The only way out I found was to restart the level. That was it for me. I know there are people out there who enjoyed this game, but it was too frustrating for me to continue with.
I just purchased this game after playing the demo, and I really like it. Actually got it for free using my punch card coupon! This game is super cute- basically you need to clear any obstacles in the way of getting a princess back to her kingdom.
Not only do you need to clear and/or repair things, but there are other objectives added in also, such as picking flowers or accumulating certain amounts of resources. While you're doing similar things in each level, I think the extra objectives keep things interesting enough. You are timed- you must clear the path before nightfall, and if you finish earlier you can get expert. Not only do you get a gold start for being expert, but you also get to expand your own castle.
The game is challenging, but not so much that it's annoying. So far I've been able to get expert on many levels, but not all. I look forward to going back and replaying to improve my score. There is some strategy involved- the order in which you do things can have a big impact on your time. The game's length seems good- after playing the demo I still have at least 3/4 of the game left. I do recommend this game, for both kids and adults.
