You play the daughter of the famous detective Sherlock Steel, who has contracted a mysterious illness, which is making him age rapidly. Desperate for a cure - you suddenly receive a large fee from Puss in Boots, whose wife has been kidnapped. Overall game play was okay. HOPS are relatively easy -as are the mini games. There is no voice acting, which kind of threw me, but for a SE - I didn't have an issue with it. Definitely a game I would use a game credit on. My only problem was the horrible grammar. As there is no voice acting, you rely heavily on reading these paragraphs that are poorly written. That was my only real problem with the game. Overall a cute game.
I'm a fan of the Haunted Hotel series, and was happy to see a new installment. I played the demo and was intrigued enough to purchase the game. You play a private detective in 1978 hired to protect a scientist with some secrets. Sadly, after the demo, this game goes downhill. Graphics are good, and the mini games do offer a small level of challenge, however, this game was way too fast and I felt the ending very abrupt. The story could have been told in a better way and made the game much more enjoyable to play. I didn't even finish the bonus round. All in all, not worth purchasing at the SE price.

I'm a huge fan of the House of 1,000 Doors series, so I was excited when I saw that a new installment of this series had come out. Then excitement quickly turned to wariness when I started reading the reviews. To see for myself, I played the demo and was saddened to see that the poor reviews were not off the mark. This is a far cry from what fans of this series have come to expect. Graphics were horrible, characters were unrecognizable and don't even get me started on that stupid "hand". Our heroine Kate, has been supplanted by the newest member of the Lancaster family - Emily. The voice acting seemed incredibly wooden. Puzzles and HO scenes very blah. Very disappointed and I most certainly did not waste my time or my money buying this game. If this is what is going to be churned out for the 1,000 Doors Series - do us fans a favor and end it now!

First let me state, I love Fishdom. I have all the games, so I was really excited to see a new addition to the series. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly faded and became sheer frustration. I have no objection to challenging levels - on the contrary, that makes the game more fun to play. I do have objections to there being no kind of instruction on the matches that are needed to ascend to the next level. I felt like a person in the dark fumbling for a light. This game was poorly put together and I felt to make up for the repetition (did the developers run out of ideas?), without decent instruction, they turned the levels into something impossible to play. Please don't waste your money on this game!

After playing the demo, I used a credit to purchase this game, but would have gladly spent the money to buy the game. I think it's a great game - especially for a none collector's edition. I thought the graphics were well done (electric-fied zombie/frankenstein running amok - need I say more?), and the storyline engaging from the get go. The and puzzles/HO's aren't too taxing, either easy or hard, so those looking for a real challenge won't find it here, but overall a really great little horror game.

I am huge fan of the Royal Envoy series, so of course there was no doubt I would be purchasing this game. However, I was very disappointed. Graphics are excellent and the story line is okay - helping his Majesty in all his pink gloriness expand his kingdom. However, I was so busy rushing around trying to beat the clock, building then destroying, I realized I wasn't having any fun! People who are looking for a fun game and not a time management game done to the nth degree - do not play this game, I would highly recommend its predecessor - Royal Envoy Campaign for the Crown. Overall, a much better game. I felt like a chicken with its head cut off. Build 8 dovecotes, then destroy 3, but then build four more, then build a sawmill then destroy it 3 minutes later, etc. etc. Suffice it to say, I wasn't having any fun, and found myself getting aggravated way too easily. I was at the point, I didn't even care if I got 3 stars, I just wanted to be done with the level.
Those seeking a solid storyline.....don't look here.

The demo drew me in so I purchased it. While the graphics are top notch and puzzles engaging, the storyline was really lacking. I felt more should have put into it. I was left with more questions at the end of the game than at the beginning.
While the graphics are amazing, and the HOS scenes were easy enough, storyline was way too short my for liking. The storyling was missing depth for a Collector's Edition in my humble opinion.
