I was really looking forward to trialling this game, but was left very disappointed. There were no real new challenges, and I felt like I was going through the motions. Also adding a mini-game that as a disabled person I could not play, I was left more frustrated then in awe. I will wait to see what the SE is like, and see if I feel any different then.
I really wanted to get into this game and enjoy the whole experience of it, but one thing I need is clear notes in the diary (within the game) and when the characters are speaking for it to make sense. The game was poorly translated, and the gameplay was very rigid and dated. Some of the areas had very precise areas to click, I missed quite a few places within the trial because of this. The puzzles are varied and interesting, and there are some hidden objects scattered about, so the challenge is there. Maybe a game for those into space, and new to this genre, and maybe those that have patience.
I found this very boring and not fun at all. I thought the sound effects really did not reflect well on the game, they sounded more like water, than Halloween. You don't even get to decorate your house properly. The game pieces are very large, and not much of a challenge at all. Very boring rigid gameplay, something for the children to have a go at but for me, an adult, this is a big NO!

I have bought and played the other games in the series, but this one I am disappointed in. I seemed to whizz through the levels and was significantly through the game before the trial ran out.
The gameplay is indicative to the series, boats, helicopters and buildings producing resources. You also have a hospital and a fire station in some levels, to help injured people or put out fires.
Although the game is timed there seems to be plenty of time to finish the levels, and when finished you will be awarded a trophy on the game progress map.
The story was alright, but very similar to other games, corrupt mayor, doing things that he shouldn't with money, trying to cover things up etc.
The rescue crew should be good guys not bad guys. Plus it would've been nice to do up your house like in one of the other games, to break up the gameplay.
Too simple and too short for myself. Maybe for a beginner to this sort of game it would be perfect.
I don't recommend this game.

I have not seen the show but I can say that this game fits into the other style of the other television shows turned into games, like criminal minds or murder she wrote. Very basic gameplay in that you find objects in a junkpile, then find somewhere to use it, and lots of banter between the characters. You jump from scene to scene on a map, this runs smoothly and is a handy tool in progressing through the game. The storyline is interesting , but doesn't leave you wanting more, that might be because they have made it family friendly, no real blood or gore. All in all it is one that I would probably consider with a credit, but I doubt I would buy it for the full price as it is a little too easy for me, and with no indication on the length I will have to pass for now.
I was nearly put off by the bad reviews but thought I would try it, and I really liked it. The first few levels were very easy but the more the game went on the harder it got, and a few times I had to start the level again as I could not find a move. The jigsaw style mini-game is good too as that breaks up the match three monotony that you can get with some of these games. The pieces slide nice and quick, and the bonus' are plentiful. There are no bells or whistles and no immense storyline like a lot of the newer games these days, but still a good match three with some challenging game-play.
Finally a game that I can get into. I love these games and always buy them. Like others have said the story is not the main grab factor in these games, the challenge of the puzzles is. You have more options to how you input the squares and pins, which I really like as you can make it as easy or hard for yourself. Personally the story seems a bit better then the others, more suspense and wonder then just finding artifacts. I only played about 5-10 minutes and decided to purchase, seeing I had a free game coupon I figured this is the one to spend it on. :D

...From the nightmare that is this game. I was looking forward to a match three that allows you to build things with the gold you earn, but you have no choices to make so can not make the town your own. The only real good thing about this game is that you get to choose your playing style, but even that saving grace does nothing to redeem this game. Quick and easy levels, just click and the building is put on the map no choice, and irritating sound effects, a big all round no from me.
