I read the reviews and downloaded the trial version of the game before purchasing and didn't see anything I might find objectionable. If you have no objection to occult elements you should enjoy the game. It is everything the other reviewers stated, but part way in these elements start popping up. If you prefer to avoid games that have occult elements you won't want to buy this one.

The game was ok, but not great. I guess my biggest complaint about the game is this part of the description "The murderer, weapons, suspects, and motives change each time you play, for a unique experience". What they don't tell you is the victim and the locations are the same for each and every case.
The storyline is VERY thin and often makes no sense. The courtroom scenes are very cartoonish and seemed silly to me.
I played a 2nd case, but the objects were WAY too easy to find by that time. On the plus side the locations are nicely done and finding the objects for the first case was fun.
It's not a terrible game but, unfortunately, the full potential of what it could have been is never realized.
I don't recommend this game.

I loved the original Steve the Sheriff. #2 didn't let me down. Same fun with some improvements- comparison games are now side by side instead of top and bottom which makes it easier. I also like the new curser better. Very cute characters and fun to play- watch for the silly puns.
Not mind blower but when I choose a game that has a underwater cartoon creatures as the main characters I expect to be entertained not mentally challenged. Steve the Sheriff delivers =)
I recommend this game!

Loved the game. Fun enough to keep me interested. Good mini games, good HO scenes, cute characters. Love the look on Sheriff Steve's face when he's happy about something =) Would be fun to play with kids. It's not going to tax your brain but after a long day at work I play to unwind and have fun. This game fits the bill perfectly!
I recommend this game!

Good concept, poor execution which is too bad because I really wanted to like this game.
I thought the HO scenes were ok, but the actual job of renovating was awful. Pick which of the 3 prechosen flooring samples, 3 prechosen paint colors, 3 prechosen etc. went together best. Frankly, some of the choices were so terrible I didn't think any looked good and I'd fire any designer who chose them for my house!
There are obviously some groups of items that were meant to be paired together, but if you chose something outside the grouping you'd get a "Hmm.. not sure I like that but maybe it will grow on me" or something of that nature. What's the fun of decorating if the choices are already matched up before the game starts? Some of the rooms just looked bad no matter what you chose, even if it was a "correct" combination, which was very frustrating. If I didn't find it so boring I'd go back in and choose the worst, mismatched combinations just for the fun of it to see the homeowners' comments. Maybe some rainy day when I'm not working, have the house cleaned, the lawn mowed, the laundry done ... then again, maybe not.
I don't recommend this game.

Cute, enjoyable game. Nothing too challenging here, but a nice way to relax and unwind. I liked that it was more than just finding the HO's. There was some character action needed at times which made it fun and, IMO, actually qualified it for the adventure game category as well as hidden object.
Nice, varied scenes- not just old junk piles to search. I liked the mini games as well, which weren't just the same few repeated throughout the whole game. I thought the visual quality was good. Can't comment on the sound quality as I play with the speakers off.
Overall length of game was good when played at a leisurely pace. Nothing irritates me more than a game that only lasts an hour or so.
Plot and story are obviously stretches of the imagination with plenty of gaps, but it didn't ruin the fun of it for me. I don't buy games like this for the storyline.
Probably not for the high intensity gamer, but for those who like to sit back and enjoy the game for what it is- just for fun- I recommend it.
I recommend this game!

Short, w/ NO adventure. It should not be listed under the adventure category. There is no character interaction or anything to make it an adventure game. Other than being introduced to the main character at the beginning that was it.
Each stop on the trip starts with a written history/ geography lesson which may take more time to read than finding the hidden objects. The hidden object scene has 10 items and then one of 3 repeating mini games, which were more irritating than challenging- I ended up skipping them after a while. The mini games may earn you a hint (but only if you have less than maximum allowed of 6) so why bother?.
I only used hints to find obscure items I've never hear of such as in the 2nd to last scene- "Brain Plug". What the heck is that? I clicked the hint button and think the object was actually a drain plug.
The graphics were decent and a couple of the objects are cleverly hidden, but these don't make up for lack of overall challenge and low quality filler mini games. I can't comment on the sound quality as I played with the speakers off. Maybe it has some redeeming qualities.
Save yourself the 60-90 minutes it takes to play the game and read the history lesson online.
I don't recommend this game.
