Loved it! I bought it after 30min of play. Lots of variety in game play, levels of challenge, beautiful displays, wonderful music. I fell in love with the narrator. He tells the story of Perseus in lovely, velvety tones. The guy could probably read a grocery list and get paid for it!!
While I enjoyed the mini-games, many of the items in the HOSs were just too small and/or indistinct. If this is a first try for the developers, it was a good effort but I can't recommend it.

Though I bought this game in 2011, I have not reviewed it. I love this game. I can play it if I am tired or wide awake and It is always fun and challenging. Sometimes I play just to hear the sounds for each person, item or action. And I absolutely love hearing the Count say, "Drat it!" I've read the first book in the series and seen the movie. When I play the game, it just puts another level of enjoyment to Unforturnate Events!
While beautiful to look at, this FOG was tedious. Lots of running back and forth. And while a map was provided, it was on a larger scale that the site to site play and didn't help to move around. Not a buy for me.

The developers have taken my favorite mahjongg game and made it better. They have added tile types and more colorful backgrounds. The original game had wonderful tiles and backgrounds. I bought the game because of the music and wound up loving it because of the tiles and backgounds. My one complaint is that the connection to the original game, Brain Games - Mahjongg, has been lost because of the new title.
I recommend this game!

Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep
Find all of the Power Crystals and save the people of Atlantis in this innovative physics-based marble dropper!
This is a visual delight! The music is soft and hypnotic. Very easy to run out of time relaxing to the sounds. You pop pearls by dropping them. There is a nice assortment of levels with varying degrees of difficulty. I found this to be entertaining and mildly challenging - my speed.
Aside from the fact that the boy and girl look like zombies, this is a fun, timely game, something for the whole family to play. The HOSs are VERY full. It takes a sharp eye to find the objects. There are mini-games between the HOSs that are tied to a Christmas calendar with tab doors that open - I remember as a kid using calendars like this to count down the days until Christmas.
So lovely! The graphics are lush and beautiful. The story is based on the Nutcracker - can't beat that! The HOSs are bright, clear and joyful. Even the rat army has handsome uniforms! Wonderful. And, of course, Tchaikovsky's lovely ballet. I don't much care to watch ballet but the music is heavenly. Plus this game provides you with a team! The Nutcracker, an adorable little kitten and a very energetic candle. I think this is going to be my Christmas present to myself this year!
So much fun! Lots of bells and whistles! The card game is a standard chain type, building up and/or down based on card face value. What sets this game apart are the sound effects, patient names, power-ups (like an x-ray that lets you see the next card but you get a reverse image) and a whack-a-doc mini-game that gets you extra cards for your draw deck. Very entertaining. The music is great, too!
This is a sweet little game. The tiles are unique - a mix of spooky medieval one time and card suites the next. The power-ups are cartoon characters that do various things to tiles when you get stuck. You also have a match3 board that pops up when you have no tiles moves. The game moves very quickly. It was easy to stay entertained. This was almost as much fun as Unwell Mel (my fav).
