Enjoyable to play until you get booted out of the game for no reason. One can also get booted if you try to reset the game, or change the level. Then you have to start the whole process of reloading the game & level of play.
Many different levels of difficulty but getting kicked off after 3 or 4 games consistently was just too much for me & have finally decided to search for another Mahjong game to try.
If you don't mind getting frustrated after a couple of games this is a decent choice.
blah blah blah - stop talking already. The storybook got Old really quick. I did finish and would really have enjoyed the game if it wasn't for the storybook parts. Some of the puzzle parts were obscure and I always hate when you already have found an item - used it - and then have to find a similar one in a different scene.
If one can overlook these two flaws then you'll like the game.
Thought the original premise got sidetracked for awhile but it melded back in at the end. Having a locked area (door) and looking around for what will open it - only to find whats behind is not anything you've needed is always a bit frustrating. I know this sound like a negative review, but wanted those who haven't played just to be aware that its not that you've overlooked anything along the way - it just the way the game is. Hope you enjoy - I certainly did.
This game had a lot of backtracking. Probably used the hint button more in this game than I have in the 50+ games that I've played this year.
Now stuck in a place where I don't have what I need - no place else to go and the strategy guide (which you have to pay for!) is not available for Mac.
Definitely would not recommend for first time players as they'd give up on the genre entirely out of frustration.
While this game has plenty of hidden object scenes the game itself is pretty awful. It ends while you still have items in your inventory and the "bonus content" is just an extension of the game. The 'real End' if you want to call it that ends abruptly with several unused inventory items. Its just weird.
The story line makes very little sense and you as the gameplayer don't escape. It was frustrating in the sense that the hint button would make you go out of the way to place one item when you needed multiples to complete the puzzle. The constant backtracking just about drove me nuts.
My advice is find another game: this one should still be in the final tweaking stages.
