Blue Tea Games, you should be ashamed of yourself. You can, and have, done so much better than this. Poor graphics are a jumbled mess. HOS are find bits and pieces in that big jumbled mess. Personally, I really dislike this kind of HOS. Voice overs are irritating. Music and sound does nothing to enhance. Too many cut scenes. Too much time wasted. I found this game quite irritating, and will not buy it. Please do the trial first. Then decide. By the way, why are the 5 stars always displayed first on the reviews. This is a refreshing game, with a beautiful sound track that reflects the Paris location. The voice overs are excellent, and not at all contrived. The scenes are crisp and clear. I don't require real actors as long as the voice overs are well done. There is a jump-to map, and sufficient challenge for my personal level. The setting, with gargoyls and other unsavoury characters lurking in the background, captivate the imagination.

This game is worth every penny. It has all the elements I personally look for. Great graphics, unobtrusiive sound elements, dialogue that can be cut short, lots of puzzles which are varied and present good challenges. There's lots to do here, and you won't be bored.

They don't get much more boring than this. The graphics are fuzzy. The background music and sound effects are innocuous, and therefore contribute nothing. The voice overs are ridiculously amateurish. There is no challenge, and no reason whatsoever to want to play this game. The story is not interesting, or scary, or captivating in any way. So, I've wasted 1/2 hour of my Sunday morning. Should have quit sooner.

Based on the first 4 reviews, I bought this game (caveat emptor), and I'm glad I did. Everything about it is first rate. The scenes are beautifully done, the music and sound effects appropriate and well placed. I Don't want to spend any more time writing, as I want to get back to playing. Needless to say, this game is highly recommended.

I appreciate a game with a sense of humour, and this one does in a rather subtle way. I see from your reviews that many of you don't like the music, but jazzing it up is an important and refreshing change. Most games are so formulaic, even in the choice of music. But not this one. So, I'm giving high marks for its originality.

Finally, a game with a bit of challenge. I hate having every move handed to me on a silver platter (as it were). There are some genuinely creepy characters, with a good story line. The graphics are somewhat fuzzy, but I find this adds to the ambiance. The HOS are replace the item, and that's always fairly easy, but at least it's not irritating. The music / sound effects are pretty much perfect for me because there isn't a droning on of some repetitive few bars. Sound effects are very effective. I delight in there being some quiet time. Hint, skip, and all the other help you could need are present, along with a delightful little owl helper.
But maybe you'll like it. If you like searching for itty-bitty pieces of objects on a HOS and then using them to find other objects then ok, go ahead. But count me out. I find it irritating. I played 1/2 hour, and that was generous, given that there were no puzzles. The graphics are good. The music repetitive and weird. Not a challenging game. I think I'm getting a headache.

This is a good game, with lots of puzzles and very acceptable graphics. It's not challenging enough, though, and I've been finding this with most offerings lately. These games could offer more challege, especially with a hint button that takes you exactly where you need to be. So, if you do get lost, you have all the help you need. Overall, the game is worth a good look.

This one just doesn't capture the imagination. And there is just too much time spent waiting for items to be dropped into inventory, or for cut scene conversation -- which you should be able to move along on your own by clicking, like other conversations that take place. Everything is quite slow. Is this done to prolong the game time? I'm never in a rush to finish a game, but even this one is boring me. The music is ok to irritating. What's with that monotonous marching-of-to-war track? This is not worth the CE designation or the cost.
