This is basically a fairytale story. So how deep could it be? Actually it's VERY deep. The story takes twists and turns that are completely unexpected and refreshing. After starting out in a rather ordinary house , looking for clues to your nephew's tragic deteriorating physical condition, you eventually are taken to strange far away places to try to piece together how he came to be in the state he is. Very detailed and beautiful visual effects and artwork draw you in and put you in the middle of strange swamps , eerie forests and frozen mountains. The puzzles are fun and original without being overly frustrating. And the extra game play that gets unlocked at the end in the collector's edition does an excellent job of finishing the story.

From the opening scene outside the gates of the village to the deepest reaches of the exclusive villa, the artwork , animation, detail and audio effects were captivating. There was a lot of effort put in to creating the feeling of roaming through an old world estate looking for clues to who has been murdering the heirs and why. There were also some fun touches like a little pet dog that belonged to one of the murder victims who helps you to find your way to certain clues. I was also impressed with the extra game content that became unlocked after completing the main adventure. A continuation of the main adventure that helped to close the loose ends. It was very detailed and deep, very well planned and carefully constructed. I was pleasantly surprised.
Buy it. Get the collectors edition. I have played hundreds of casual adventure games of this type, and this ranks very high. The character development is excellent, you grow to care a lot about the main character and helping her to overcome her intense inner pain. The artwork is excellent and well above what I have seen in other games, it has phantasmic air about it as you wander through worlds that cross the boarder between reality and nightmare. The game is well balanced in the "casual" category. That is, it's not too hard and not too easy, it strikes a nearly perfect midpoint which makes it entertaining to play without making it frustrating to complete. I never had to use a "hint". Some of the puzzles were refreshingly amusing and fun. Very original.
