I decided to check this out before buying for my grandson, as it looked good fun. Good job I did. I lasted about 5 minutes (once I got started!). Lot of talking, not much action. The talking was very annoying and long-winded. I play a lot of Big Fish Games (at Intermediate level) so know my way around most games. Not this one! There was no easy direction as to what to do or where to go at the beginning - taking into account that this is a kid's game. I had to go to the "help" section to get a hint for myself! Can't see many children taking to this - in my humble opinion!

Going by the first review, I wasn't going to even try this game but, with nothing better to do, I decided to give it a go. I am glad I did. It is a bit on the challenging side, but I like a game to be at least a little challenging. I played intermediate level.
I like the map and task list, as I think there will be quite a lot of moving around with this one and they will come in handy. I have only completed the trial version, but think I will probably purchase this one because it looks like there will be plenty of challenging tasks to perform.
Downside is lack of atmospheric music - hence only a 4 star.
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
Have just finished the SE one hour trial, and it was quite challenging. Opted for the "Expert" mode, as I don't like games to be too easy. The HO scenes were not the usual "fine one object at a time" - quite the opposite - which I found to be quite an achievement once I had solved each one. In my opinion this makes it a good game to play. Only got to part one of chapter 2, so obviously cannot comment on rest of game, but if it continues in the same vein, I am sure it will be truly excellent! Will definitely be purchasing this one.
Didn't have to wait to collect lots of itinerary objects before getting into action - after intro it was "go". Clues were not hand-holding but very helpful to point to the right direction. Also, there is a map which is very helpful and saves clicking from page to page to get to where you want to be. Graphics good. Could skip dialogue, but it is not too drawn out if you want to follow the story properly. Just finished demo and am getting straight back!

What a change from the normal pyscho stories I am so used to playing. But that's about all in its favour. The graphics were so bad, at times I could hardly make out any objects at all. Some graphics were actually blurring one item into another. I know I may need a more up to date computer, but I have no problems like this with all the other games I download. Mini games were quite easy, but fun. Didn't get too far before my 60 minutes were up because I spent too much time trying to decipher items. Such a shame
I really enjoy HO games, but it was a while before I realised that this was one of them! So far I have not come across the usual layouts we have all come to expect. Needs a bit of searching, which just adds to the fun. If you suffer from arachnophobia you might need to think twice before purchasing! Actually needs a few brains cells to sort out some of the puzzles, but not too painful. Can't wait to get back to it!

Must have missed the first one, or found that one just as boring. I play a lot of games but could not get my head around this one. Try to use hints at a minimum, but I do like to have the choice. This is certainly not for me - can't see the fun in searching an area and finding no way out!
Followed the prologue in anticipation, but the anticipation lasted only a few minutes. Didn't like the screen movement - couldn't tell what I was suppose to do, so gave up trying.
Judging by previous reviews, this game was considered to be very short - well, it was too long for me.

This game is fast moving. The hidden object scenes were not difficult - I think I used the hint just once on these, but there were a lot of them, which I enjoyed. I did struggled with some of the puzzles and have to admit that I skipped two or three, but I am a little impatient!
The Hint is great for getting to the right place if you don't want to spend a lot time going from scene to scene (and there are plenty of them) until you find the right one.
I did think I had reached the end of the game when I had completed the scene with the record, but was delighted when there was more!
