I like these types of games. So I try every one that comes down the pipe! As usual it's going to come down to personal preference though I admit I decided this was a non buy. Not even if it were on special. There are too many other similar games that work better for me.
The biggest complaint I have is it's so easy to make a mistake! I'm a big click and drag to fill in large areas kind of person. Unfortunately if you don't go straight across you can accidentally fill in an area above or below on accident. Some may find the very responsive touch a positive but for me I killed more than a few levels with a jittery hand.
I did appreciate the auto fill in when you've finished a row.
There really isn't much in the way of a tutorial but it's the same concept as others in this genre. The only thing that I found confusing is figuring out power ups and how many mistakes you were allowed, when you were allowed them, hint use, etc.
I prefer to skip through tutorials pretty well but the basic differences explained would've been appreciated.
I will admit the graphics are bad. But if you just think to yourself "oh! it's old school graphics" you'll feel better.
The sounds are pretty okay. I rather likes the train noises to alert you to trains coming in.
Game play is pretty straight forward. Some gathering of materials. Rebuilding a railroad. Additional ways to get money by building different buildings.
You CAN que your actions however I must've missed how to unque then but discovered accidentally that if you click exactly where you'd qued BEFORE the worker starts going to that location you can cancel it.
There are 40 levels. They go pretty fast but not so fast you feel like you've been cheated out of a game.
Definitely worth a try. I purchased. Have played twice. Easy game to bust out a level between things or sit and kill a little time.

I actually like the first farm fables game. Even replayed it recently. When I saw there was an "enhanced mode" I was excited. Until I started to play it.
The sounds and graphics are as outdated as ever but, honestly, that doesn't bother me too much.
The game is challenging and somewhat different than other similar games. However the enhancements....make this game WORSE not BETTER!
Everything runs slower. It's more cluttered. The tutorial is not helpful and just sputters along. Even knowing how to play this game and doing well originally? I cannot get 3 stars even from the get go! (Not a must have but surprising)
I'd try the original version of this if you're interested. It's not the greatest game but far better than this "enhanced" version. I'd skip this version all together.

I love these types of games. I've replayed multiple titles from the World Mosaics titles. This one? Just didn't do it for me. It only allows you one mistake per level which is annoying. It seems a bit slow to follow commands (not VERY far behind but not smooth and as quick as I was which isn't THAT fast!) Also it would cross out numbers as "solved" before I'd even trapped them in with a "don't go there" x or the like.
It's not a bad game but not up to World Mosaics titles. There are so many of them? I'd rather just replay one of those instead of playing this. You may like it. But definitely try first.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is fast. From the get go fast. And I like a fast paced game but this just seems a little frantic.
You must memorize drink orders. It's a little clumsy to figure out how to add toppings to just one item at a time.
The clicking isn't always responsive and you have to be JUST ON to click which is annoying.
I will say there is less clicking than in the first which is nice. And in order to complete tasks it does guide you where to go if you'd like which makes upgrading and task achievement easier.
Graphics are cleaned up, sound is slightly less annoying (though I still ended up playing with it off as I usually do).
I'm really divided on this. Try it. See how it works for you. If it didn't feel so frantic I might feel differently but I don't need franticness in a game! (But I will now go back and play the first one because I think the idea is great and many people will like this one!)
With the lack of TM games I cancelled my BFG subscription and only browse every few days to see if there is anything to be bothered using my remaining credits on.
Today? I bought this in an instant!!!
I remember when it first came out. It was when diner games were all the rage. It still holds it own now. Fun graphics, good difficulty, amusing differences w/ the bear and such.
Worth a try. Really. If you never played or played before and forgot all about it (like I did!) give it a try! It's fun to go "back in time" and this game was WAY ahead of its time. It doesn't feel dated or lame.
Just fun TM game that stands the test of time. (bonus? my kids are old enough to want to play it now too! or UNbonus perhaps? lol)
I LOVED the first version of this game. I was waiting anxiously for a 2nd one to come out so when this came out I almost bought it before trying...I'm glad I tried first because I'm still not sure if I will buy.
As before the story line is amusing. The graphics are fun. The play is very typical time management with a zombie meets beauty parlor theme. easy enough mini games to get through the stations. You can upgrade fairly early on.
The load times ARE faster which is fantastic! Though it seems a lot more fast clicking required than the 1st one.
So I'm divided on this game. It's definitely worth a try. And if you dont' have the first? This is definitely worth the purchase! As is the first is very replayable and it might be worth it for me to just play that again and then see if I want a sequel enough to buy.
Great game if I'd never played the first one. Good game having played the first.
This game has great replayability. It has a funny little story line. It has just enough challenge w/o driving you mad. It's a great time killer but still takes long enough to go through. I've played through a half dozen times since I first purchased but seeing it on discount i had to add my opinion!
It's much like other salon style TM games. Monsters have requests, you place them where you want them, fill requests (some automatic, some you need to cycle through options or other mini games), upgrades are easy to come by and beneficial.
I hope there's a sequel because my amusement with this game was way too much. In fact I'm going to play it again. With a serious lack in TM games as of late if you dont' have this? PLEASE do yourself a favor and scoop it up. it was worth full club price w/o a doubt!

I think the most important thing to mention in this review? This game is SO replayable!
I'm not sure what it is about this game that makes it so fantastic. It's a classic time management game. With fun characters, amusing plots, silly bits. Easy to catch onto. I love the different nightmares (you click to get rid of them so they don't upset your guests), the silly negatives (bird pooping on their bodies anyone?), and the fun themes (the beach, the mountains, the amusement park)
I've played the game through many times now. This is not a one time play by any means! Each time it's still amusing, interesting, and poses some challenge to me.
No, it isn't the most complex time management, but it isn't overly simple. Not too clicky. Not repetitive. Great way to waste time. Think I'll go play it again (and as a DD? this is a MUST BUY if you didn't before!!!)
I recommend this game!

This is very donkey kong esque. The long ago kind. Very much classic arcade game. Almost donkey kong meets pacman in the climbing and moving while bad guys chase you.
Simple graphics and music. Will remind you of the first games in arcades.
Didn't hold my attention as I am more a TM peep and the arrow key use (plus the need for the mouse to click over the advice section) is a little annoying and doesn't lead to smooth game play.
If you're feeling nostalgic this game will hit the spot. For the DD price it isn't a bad buy. The characters are amusing the concept is familiar. Just not quite my cup of tea.
