I loved this game , but some of the Mini-games were too much for me and I hit the ole 'skip' button when I started getting frustrated and feeling stupid : / The sound, graphics, hog scenes, music and above all, the characters & story-line were tops and one can't help but sense how much care and work the Devs put into it. I'm giving this one a ***** 5 out of ***** 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale and remind myself about the sometimes really tough Mini,s !!!
I doubt if I am the only Fishie in this pond that lets the title of a game draw me in to check it out. Having just completed Spirit Legends: Solar Eclipse CE, I never found the "Solar Eclipse", just a lot of talk about the Sun disappearing....perhaps I missed something. I did enjoy the HOPS but this game is heavy into Mini-games which will please puzzle lovers. I just could not really get totally drawn into the game play as I found the story-line "cookie cutter" . This is not a bad game, just not my type when it comes to the number of Minis. The characters are mostly good and the graphics & sound were okay. I am giving this one a *** 3 out of ***** 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale.
All I can say is that I really liked the main game BUT the Bonus Chapter was unique in story-line style and I thought it was fantastic ! I like the way this Developer lets us go back and find missed collectibles as well as they show found or not found near the inventory. I am giving this one ***** 5 out of ***** 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale :)
I really enjoyed this fantastic game and I even liked some of the Mini-games (unusual for me ;) I liked the story line and the Hidden object scenes were all enjoyable and fun. I was finding the "collectibles" nearly impossible to find until I checked my display settings on my 'puter after remembering that I had it set for "night light" that changes the spectrum somewhat & un-clicked it and then found all was well and find-able :) Voice-overs were pretty good as was the music [I turned it down low] Graphics and the little thoughtful things like being able to check to see if I found all the collectibles are something these Developers are great at plus the maps were good and informative. When I play I usually have a lot of interruption and seldom remember if I even looked much less found them. I am giving this one a full 5 ***** out of a possible 5 ***** on my personal enjoy-ability scale :)
I was somewhat surprised and I like this game as much as I did. No dark and mouldy glowing corpse flowing around in dark dungeons. The gameplay was really borderline easy for me but I did enjoy it. The characters were okay and the collectables really too easy to find for the most part but some were really well hidden :) If you are looking for something that is casual easy between more intense games you should give this one a try ! I am giving this on a ****+ out of a possible 5 ***** on my personal enjoyability scale :)
I have played the whole series now and for me this one began to downhill in Chapter 3 :( The music and graphics were very good but the story-line I couldn't really follow. I did like some of the Mini games more than normal but the "skip" button and the "Hint" got more than normal use.
I fully intend to replay this one someday because sometimes my mood can affect how much I enjoy a game, you know ,like the chores that need to be done and all the "gotta do;s" can be a bit distracting when all I want to do is play ; ) For now I'm giving this on a ** 2 out of ***** 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale but 3 stars in the review.score. Please try this one to see if you enjoy it better than I.
This is an "older" game that has left me smiling because of the FROGs which were both pretty and challenging ( some were really tiny ). Just the idea that there were Frog scenes in it made me buy it and I wasn't concerned about anything else but enjoying the game itself was a bonus and I wish I had bought the CE. I'm giving this one a ***** 5 out of ***** 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale :)
After reading most all of the reviews I'm happy to see that a lot of my Fellow Fishies are giving the same opinions I have.. This was not a grey matter stress-out but one that sneaks in some "thinkers" when you least expect them, like some of the HOG scenes where you click-click click & then whoa, where are these last few ? LOL. I liked this addition to the series and look forward to more. In my humble opinion the Devs. need an extra award to how many " Domini logos can we find : D This one is definitely getting a ***** 5 out of ***** 5 on my personal enjoy-ability list :)
Oh how I wish there were more games like this !!! Playing this was a very enjoyable experience , especially with all the eye-candy. Even a few little glitches in the minis, well, I just soared over and ignored them . The developers did a great job with the different types of characters and their artwork was exceptional, not dark and skeleton filled dungeons here , just bright and colorful jungle colors and lots of Indian lore : ) Please read some of the reviews of my Fellow Fishies as they are better at describing games than I am, I just know that I Loved it ! This one is getting a full ***** 5 out of ***** 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale !
I don't know what I expected but I found I was somewhat disappointed with this fractured fairytale. I am not a mini-game fan or I may have enjoyed if nore. The story-line was okay and the background music good, the graphics fine but the mechanics in some point & clicks did not always respond 'till the second or third click. Too me this was a ho-hum game but others may love it ; ) I am giving this one a *** 3 out of ***** 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale. [I am going to Recommend this one just in case I'm the only bah-humbug Fishie in this pond]
