This review is on the demo only. Again we find a ghost trying to promote, protect his sweetheart diva. Graphics were the usual from Epix, good but not great. Gameplay was okay but nothing challenging so far. Collectables were sometimes difficult to see. HOs had some interesting features but nothing we haven't seen before. Acting was so-so.

Many of the reviewers describe in detail the story and game play. I have done so in the past but will refrain from doing so at this time. I am a huge fan of all of the MCF, I have them all, but some of them were getting a little stale in the recent past. I still play them from time to time. I beta tested this one and could hardly wait for it to be released. It has all of the puzzles, HOs, morphs, and puzzle pieces/collectables that many people want in their game play. The graphics and VOs are great. There is a jump map which is always appreciated. When I go back and play one of the earlier games I realize just how spoiled I have become with this feature.
Elephant had my heart as far as graphics but Epix is right on their tail. This game has a great story line (at least I thought so) and lots of adventure. I have been waiting for this release so I could discover the ending but I just had to critique before finished. Do you think this will be the next story that offers an on going line? I hope so. I guess that I will have a better idea at the end of the game.
I am thrilled that there are Rube Goldberg puzzles. Please continue with this type of puzzle. They make me think and keep me from going to sleep mid way through the game. I am sure that they are a challenge to program but so appreciate.
I am again looking forward to the Thanksgiving game release and hope I will be fortunate enough to beta that one. Enjoy!

I beta tested this game and did not give it a good review then and it doesn't seem to have changed much. I cannot add much to Sunnyglow's report so I will let it stand at that. I like many of ERS games but this one is BAD. All of the devs should wake up and remember what made them so popular in the first place. A lot of us long time gamers want challenges that make us think, excellent graphics and a good story line. Go back to early games , i.e. "Fates Carnival" to see what I am talking about.
Some may like this game but I find that it is very disjointed and boring so try it for yourself to see if you like it.
If you are an Elephant game fan you will enjoy this one. I am a great fan of theirs and this game does not disappoint.
The story is familiar but interesting in it's delivery. You are in a car wreck (same old) and knocked out. When you awaken you are being dragged away by person, persons unknown. You are then locked in a room in a dilapidated hotel and the adventure begins. You discover that there are other people trapped in the hotel with you. They were trapped after seeking shelter from the rain while on a picnic. Your interactions and betrayals with these people develop as the game progresses. The history of the hotel begins to develop with clues that a scattered throughout the game.
The graphics are excellent. The music fits the mood of the game. There are the usual morphs and collectibles. The collectibles seem to be for a crest that may offer additional options when all collected.
The HOs are moderate in their difficulty and the puzzles are too easy, so far, but they are delivered in such a way that they are fun to play. I do hope they will advance in difficulty as the game progresses.
This review is based on the demo only. I recommend you try it for yourself to see if you like it. I am on my way to find a second CE to buy so I can take advantage of the special this weekend.
Most know the story of Dorian Gray but in this story his name is Dorian Black. I suppose this is to avoid confusion with the Gray family. This is a new twist on the famous story and is, as usual from Elephant, great fun. Auntie Gray is back and is requested to investigate the disappearance of several girls from an exclusive girls school by the mysterious head mistress. Dear old dad is there in a much younger form to assist her and can be quite contrary, cryptic and devious.
When Elephant is on it's game there are none better for this type of game. The graphics are their usual great quality. The sound excellent although I usually keep the music down quite low. VO and actors great.
There are morphing objects, puzzle pieces and collectible pictures to find and some of them are rather difficult to perceive. The puzzles are not hard nor easy and so far are familiar in style and content. I do hope there are some interactive ones later in the game as they are more challenging and interesting but if not the game is still of excellent quality and well worth the cost.
I have only played the demo but I enjoyed it so much I am on my way to purchasing, especially since there is a great special this weekend. If you have played and enjoyed the Grim Tale series I recommend you try this demo and see what you think of this one.
You I know I really like a game or dislike a game if I take the time to review said game. In all fairness I must admit that after watching the reivew clip I could not even bring myself to download this game. My daughter played on her computer and after 15 minutes said I quit. This is not even a fair SE game let alone a CE. But, I agree with other gamers "Review if for yourself, you may like It".
I beta tested this game and loved it. It is a fun game and I enjoyed it.
The review pretty much describes the premise. You are the detective who is called to unravel the intrigue and player interactions of the people who are there to play the mystery game. The setting is for a weekend mystery game hosted by a wealthy businessman. When you get there he is dead and has left a note stating that if you are reading the note then is dead. He tasks you with fiinding out who murdered him. The characters are complex and interesting.
There are the obligatory CE perks. The puzzles are fun but not too challenging. The HO are about the same with a few twists. The graphics are well done and the VO are great. The acting is strong.
I have been waiting anxiously for this game to come out and it is definitly a buy for me.
Based on the demo only. Interesting story line. You are a detective and you have been called to Silvermoon Isle to investigate the death of a movie star. It is assumed that it is suicide but you don't think it is. Graphics are good. Music is okay but I always turn it down to low position. HO are similar to recent games from this developer. I like the different steps that you must go through to find objects. Morphing objects are in the HO scenes. At least I haven't found any at other locations yet. Stars to find at scene locations. When you talk to suspect you must interact to get answers as to truth of answers. There are clues and easy puzzles to do in the journal. All in all I think I will purchase this game since there's a special this weekend.
As always play the demo to see if you will like this game.
Review of Demo only but I am downloading the game now. I have only encountered one HO in the hour the rest have been puzzles. They are excellent. Not too challenging and novel in many aspects. The graphics are excellent which is the usual for BTG. VO good. Music not intrusive. Challenge overall is enough to keep interesting. Story is about your kidnapped sister. Somwhat sinister but I like that. There are hidden objects that are not all easy to find. There is a map with areas of interest noted. I am looking forward to playing the rest of the game.
I recommend this game!

I guess I am one of the few who didn't have a problem playing the demo but kind of wish I did.
Storyline is okay. A scientist with good intentions has gone bad and has put everyone to sleep in the town. You, the detective, must save them.
This game is not worthy of a CE. The graphics are fair but very flat. The VO are so-so. The HO okay. Music non-discript. There are some interesting puzzles. These are what kept me from giving it a one star.
There are some gargoyles and other things to collect but they are easy to find in most scenes.
All in all I was very disapointed in this game and may buy it as a daily or weekly special.
This review is based on the demo and possibly the game gets more interesting as it progresses.
