I play timed. The game gets progressively harder and its a pretty good, but unremarkable, M3. The disappointing part is that there are supposed to be three houses and a fountain to fix up but there is only one house and a fountain. The other two houses are identical to the first one so you are just repeating the fix-up. There are 3 choices of design for every fix so, it starts out promising enough but then you end up just repeating the first house repairs.
Great graphics of many different locations and scenes, fitting music, no voices, little environmental sounds and a little easy on the junior detective option. There is a jump map that shows where remaining tasks are still to be done. Great hint system and pretty fast skips for minigames.
My only negative comment is that I would have enjoyed more environment sounds to make the game more immersive. Not a big deal, though.
Very long game for a HOG. It was about 7 hours of technically flawless gameplay for me.
Detail bonus: the HOG scenes are updated so that if you have to go back to the same scene more than once, the items you cleared before are gone.
I really enjoyed this as I'm getting weary of fairy tale, fantasy and horror-house themes.
I really enjoyed this game even with the aggravation of not being able to have control of the cursor starting aroud level 29.
I am not a TMer and didn't cry if I didn't get gold . On the last 10 levels due to severe problems with the cursor I struggled to finish my levels at all - one level I played for over 30 minutes. My cursor would just disappear at times and I had to wait for it to show itself again!
Still, I will not ask for a refund (even though this game was aggravating ...and my BP got a little high at times) because I finally played the whole game.
Since the problem of the floating, uncontrollable cursor isn't demonstrated until later levels, the demo is not a fair representation of how the whole game will play on anyone's specific computer.
I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone unless the dev at least gives the option of using the system cursor instead of the game cursor....it might help a little.
I played the whole game (untimed) straight thru and enjoyed it alot! It took me about 6 hours.
I wasn't very thrilled with the other matchmaker games but this one had drama, good graphics and actual stories that meshed through the whole game.
There is a big variety minigames, as well. Shooting targets, matching items, placing inlays, completing jigsaw puzzles as well as repairing alot of things - like her room, a car, a night club.....

I played the whole demo and I really like that this is more of a point-and-click adventure with a few HOS thrown in here and there.
You have to look everywhere - and then some - as some inventory items will not be available until you trigger them by playing a required scene or sequence.
There are hints but they may not be very helpful always because the next move or solution to your task is not always spelled out. I like that you have to do some thinking at times. The map will not be especially helpful except to let you know what places are immediatley available. Map: no transport and doesn't show tasks.
If you are impatient or feel you need more help, you probably won't like this much. Lots of cut scenes and dialogue.

I played the whole game and enjoyed it. The gameplay was very good and quite long. Over 6 hours, for me.
But, the developers really missed out on the possiblity of creating a really great adventure HOG by not adding environment sounds, a good music sound track and a more involved story.
I didn't mind not having voice overs so much but the lack of environment sounds and the addition of an easy jazz sound track were off-putting.

This is an easy going tongue-in-cheek adventure with a few VERY interactive hidden object scenes (HOS).
The HOS are top notch and not too easy - always resulting in a useful item. Further, the HOS are always updated to show changes you made if you had to revisit the HOS. Alot of nice attention to detail.
The puzzles are interesting. There is no map because there aren't alot of separate areas to explore that you can't figure out where they all are. Good voices throughout.
My only gripe is that after a certain scene involving a fall from a church tower, all the previous scene locations are closed going forward. I like to visit scenes even if there is nothing left to do. I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority in this, though.
The bonus game was fun and had more HOS frequency than the main game. The bonus game hinted at a sequel.

I played the whole game without pause because it really kept my interest throughout - which is phenomenal since I have about 200 unfinished/unplayed games I've bought on BFG.
The map was key to my enjoyment in the game due to never having to wonder if I'd missed anything along the way. I played a bit out of order and had no technical issues due to that.
Even though I have a very large monitor the items in the dark HOS were hard to see - quite often. By the end of the game I would have happily scorched the dev team that signed off on the eye-mutilating artwork.
I got stumped more than a few times and had to resort to the walk-thru available elsewhere on the web.
Even with the eye-blasting artwork and getting dumb-stumped, I really enjoyed myself with this game.
Thanks dev and BFG.!
I recommend this game!
