I loved this game and bought it even before my trial time was up. It's extremely creative, from different takes on hidden object scenes and challenging games to the storyline and the awesome steampunk theme. I love games with a bit of the macabre woven in, and this game definitely has that! I thought the storyline was well done and a bit 'out there', adding to the intrigue and horror. I also loved the helper...I thought she was adorable! I didn't miss having to hunt for morphing objects, and I thought the way you add the collectible dolls to your cache was really innovative...rather than merely finding and clicking to add to your collection, you interact with the doll before it gets added. An easy five stars from me!!
A strange and deadly pollen is spreading around the world, and you’ve been hired to track down its source. But the secrets you discover in the fabled kingdom of Floralia are much darker than you imagined...
I was so excited to see this next game in the Dark Parables series and got it immediately! I am a huge fan of the Blue Tea developers and have all of their games. I love fractured hidden object games and Blue Tea has this perfected, with an ethereal atmosphere and engaging storyline to support it. This game has exactly those wonderful qualities I love, plus more! The morphing objects are fun to look for because the artwork is just so gorgeous in this game. I have been taking my time and poring over every scene, enjoying the colors and scenery...I always feel like I have taken a mini-vacation when I finish Blue Tea games!
This game is very creative, from it's twist on the Rapunzel fairy tale to the inclusion of past Dark Parables elements within the storyline. The level of challenge was adequate for me, as I found some of the mini-games a bit hard, but not impossible, to figure out. The sound quality is also a bonus-it adds to the gameplay, rather than distract. The visual quality is stunning-clear and crisp and full of colors and textures-a true treat for the eyes.
I will be replaying this game many times, as I do with all of the Blue Tea games! Excellent job, Blue Tea...keep these wonderful games coming!!
I love the Mystery Case Files series (the Ravenhearst series in particular) and this game definitely delivers! It's macabre atmosphere and creepy storyline pulled me in-hook, line and sinker!! I particularly LOVE how you can click on the main hint button to teleport to the next area you need to go to, as there is A LOT of back and forth in this game to complete challenges. The hint button is well-done...it will count down to let you know how much time you need to wait to use it again. I played on "easy" and still found myself using it. I also loved the lock boxes and appreciated the hint button to help me through them. I am not sure I would have figured them out on my own had there not been a help button, as they are intricate, yet awesome!
My favorite part of the game is that it is connected to Ravenhearst in many ways both obvious and subtle. I played the game the first time to figure everything out, and am now playing again to find all the cards and bobble-heads that I missed the first time! I am also noticing more on the second play and really enjoying the total experience.
Excellent game and well-worth every penny!! I don't know how Elephant will top this one!!! It is amazing!
After Shaban's sheep are stolen by thieves, he sets off on an epic adventure to get back what belongs to him. Help Shaban on his journey in this intriguing hidden object adventure game!
This was a definite buy for me. I ADORE The Tiny Bang Story, Machinarium and Samarost simply because playing them is a cerebral experience. I have played these games over and over...and each time it feels like new! The artwork/graphics are stunning and clever, the story lines are fresh and innovative and the puzzles are very challenging. Shaban has the same characteristics and is a completely refreshing change from the typical hidden object game. You can't help but fall in love with this little guy :)!
This is easily at the top of the list for my favorite game...I've played and replayed it! I love stories that are dark (think "The Dorian Gray Syndrome" and the "Ravenhearst" series#...they add an edge to the whole experience and this definitely delivered for me. It's easy to get tired of the typical "person-disappears-you-must-find" game...this one was completely different and I appreciated the fresh approach.
I read the reviews and found that I had no trouble finding any of the hidden objects...it did not bother me that there was more than one similar item. I also thought the graphics were colorful and extremely well done. I bought the Collector's Edition and only referred to it a couple of times...mainly to figure out a mini-game. I am one who takes my time in a game...it took me 4 days to play this one #on and off, of course#...I like to look at everything, read everything...etc. When I find myself stuck and unable to figure out what to do next, I take a break...when I come back, I see the area with fresh eyes and am able to figure it out. Perhaps this slow approach added to the positive experience for me.
While there was some back-and-forth between areas, it was not "exhaustive", which I really appreciated. I also appreciated the length of the game...well worth my money!
All-in-all...a great experience for me...more like this, please!!
This is a quirky step aside from your average HOS game. I really liked the "combine objects" approach...I had to really think at times to figure out what goes together...and some of the results are hilarious. I also liked the rather sarcastic, humorous comments from Munchausen when I used an object in the incorrect manner...had me laughing and my kids wondering what I was doing on the computer :)! The story line is decent and the graphics are colorful and fresh...a nice change from the dark story lines and graphics from recent games (you will definitely get a kick out of Munchausen catapulted to the kingdom after you combine objects to set off a cannon!!). The puzzles are creative and don't take a rocket scientist to figure out. I really liked this game and readily bought the full version after playing the demo for it's fresh approach and caricature-ish graphics. Nice Job, BF!
