Finally a game similar to the early Master Detective games! I think the designers finally listened! I really really enjoyed this game. I found the advanced setting was enjoyable play but I could have probably played it on the hardest level. I was completely engrossed in the game - time flew by. There were lots of helpful hints which sometimes made the play fairly easy yet it was challenging enough that I did have to use the hint button once or twice before I could continue and I skipped one puzzle as I had no patience for it. Lots of little references to the early games which I really enjoyed. I liked the graphics. Nice variety of challenges. I didn't want it to end and I haven't felt that way about a Master Detective game in a long time. I hope there will be a sequel!

Loved the game up to a point - just like other reviewers can't move ladder back to get gear from bird nest so can't finish game! Really disappointed as I loved it up to this point. Unique and great story.
I don't recommend this game.
A small-town murder case hides a revelation that will shake the agency to its core!

I have never done a review before but I had to comment on this one. It may sound silly, but I am a middle aged married woman and I love the hidden object/adventure games especially MCF. I was so excited about this release that I bought without even trying the demo. Bad idea. I own every game in the series. There is nothing special about this game. It is not anything like the past MCF games. So far no eerie/spook factor/ no mystery to it. It's not scary nor is it amusing. Story line is just boring. I am playing on the hard level and actually find myself yawning. If I can force myself to finish the game I will change to expert as I find absolutely no challenge to the puzzles or the hidden objects (which so far aren't "hidden" at all). Yes, the colors are bright and vibrant but the character scenes seem really "in your face" and I find both very hard on the eyes. Sound quality is good. However, I can only stand to play for maybe 20 minutes at the most before I can't take the game anymore. In the past I have had to force myself to stop playing! I am so disappointed.
I don't recommend this game.
