On so many occasions I've purchased CE games and regretted it as I've struggled to play the bonus chapter from sheer boredom of gameplay. As a result I only purchased the standard version of this game and regretted not purchasing the CE as it was absorbing from beginning to end. The duration of the game was also satisfyingly lengthy as each scene unlocked more and more rooms to explore. Overall the game lasted longer than many CE games I've played including the bonus chapter. If only more games were like this....

Disappointing, tedious, headache-inducing...
Loved the first 4 games and played the fourth on a loop always trying to best my previous score. Didn't bother playing the trial this time, bought Clutter V immediately. Wish I hadn't. There are far too many identical-playing rounds and what's with the matches that don't actually match?? In previous games it didn't matter if I couldn't actually make out what the items were, I just needed to find an exact match. This time it's a case of finding items that look totally different but are the same type of object. And there's very little to break the monotony as round after round it's the same. I practically skipped each round halfway through as I couldn't be bothered frankly. I love a challenge and felt Clutter IV needed to be longer gameplay-wise but Clutter V has taken it to the extreme. Really disappointing.
And as for the "quotes" between each round - a line or two has always sufficed. Now there are entire paragraphs of some unheard of author followed by their blah blah blah. Not interesting, not witty and not clever. Just dull.
I don't recommend this game.

I made the mistake of only playing 15 minutes of the trial before deciding to pay for the game. It started so well and looked so promising but I managed to complete the game in the blink of an eye so there was zero satisfaction with game play. For anyone in two minds, don't bother. What's the point of paying for a CE version if the story is over before the player has managed to get their teeth into it? So disappointing.

It's not often I feel compelled to write a review but this is the second in the space of one week (the first being Cadenza: Music, Betrayal & Death). Another fantastic game but for completely different reasons to Cadenza. As I played I really felt as if I'd been transported into the game itself and was completely absorbed by the atmospheric feel. The game was challenging and interesting at every turn. I just wish I'd paced myself so it would have lasted longer. Excellent!

What an excellent game this turned out to be. I never bother with storylines, dialogue, etc but this game had me enthralled and the puzzles for once were actually different to the norm so there was a bit of a challenge involved. So enjoyable, would love more like this please. Am only sorry I've finished playing it.... :(

I thought this game would keep going and going, there was so much to do and achieve. Could really get immersed and at no point did I find myself unhappy with any aspect of the game. Truly money well spent. More, more, more like this please!
A really good game which was definitely value for money as it seemed to play on and on expanding and evolving. BUT really spoiled by the endless voiceover of what sounded like a wizened old man who spoke really REALLY s-l-o-w-l-y with no SKIP DIALOGUE option. So frustrating and tedious to listen to, in the end I just wanted it STOP. Makers please take note and provide a Skip Dialogue option always.

Everything about this game can be scored 10/10. I didn't manage to complete the game within a matter of hours as is normally the case so really felt that finally I had received true value for money and gameplay that was completely satisfying. The game was absorbing and I kept wanting to go back to it and this time I could because it wasn't over in a heartbeat. More like this PLEASE.
