I have all the Roads of Rome in the series and play them over and over. This takes the best of all of them and rolls them into one. My only gripe is that the Little guys run SOOOO SLOOOOW. It is maddening. I do appreciate immensely the bonus objects being easier to track and find.
I play Time Management games a lot and have never seen the point of playing in untimed mode. This game however was ridiculously hard to get three stars after 20 levels or so. There just weren't enough resources available in the short time allowed. Each level seemed to be designed to have a serious shortage or need a large quantity of one resource. You could also get stuck if you didn't go the correct path and this often caused me to have to start over. A few of the levels were really easy, but most were too difficult to enjoy. I have played several TM games where one needed to play the levels a couple times, but this was beyond short on time for me to get three stars. In order to complete the puzzle I ended up turning off timed mode so the aggravation of not being able to achieve 3 stars would end.
I am playing on Normal Timed mode. It is very challenging to get 3 stars on the levels. One poster that said the levels were easy and boring must not be playing the same game as I am. There haven't been many that I managed 3 stars on the first try from level 3 onward. I am quite experienced in Time Management games and this has me repeating levels 3 or more times to get it right. So far I have gotten 3 stars on 27 levels. Can you? The combination of tasks and difficulty is bigger and more complex as you progress, After the first pass I think there is no way it is possible, but I keep at it and have conquered the 27 so far.
The story lines in these types of games don't interest me much (with the exception of Royal Envoy :-) ) so I can't really say whether or not is is good or bad as I rarely read them. I just want to get to the levels gameplay.
I am up to level 26. Trying to get gold on each level is very challenging to do. This is not a game for beginners. I personally love this game. Three stars is doable, but not easy. I have played some levels 3 times or more. Put on your thinking cap for this one.

I read with surprise the posted negative reviews and discovered that none of them have played the full game. I'm not sure why they felt viewing a demo qualifies one to properly write a review.
That being said, I have been playing games for many years and remember the wonder of playing Leisure Suit Larry and the Sierra adventure games. They were amazing and for the first time since then I am excited for the direction of Adventure games again. Adera played like an interactive movie where you were the main character. I can only hope the ending was truly the precursor for more episodes.
I was prepared not to like this after some of the early reviews, but I am having lots of fun. I am however disappointed in the guide being only helpful arrows as you progress through the level. The developers seem to missed the point of the guide. We don't want our hand held, just some strategy in the right direction if we can't solve it after several tries. I think perhaps writing the guide was easier for them this way or the task irritated the developer and they said "Ok, you want help? I will point you to everything you need to do!" :-)
One of the fun things of the series that has nothing to do with game play is the Yoda-esce dialog at the end of each chapter.
Very cute chapters on each planet. For me this game has decent replay value.

I am a huge fan of TM games and play them over and over. What were they thinking when they made this game?!? Nearly impossible to understand what the heck is going on, game forces you to stop and click on dialog. No skipping possible. I really, really dislike this game. Wish I had previewed the game before buying. :-(
Loved this version. It has everything I could ask for. Well thought out time expectations and resource availability. Graphics were fabulous. My favorite of 2018.
First of all I want to say that I adored the first two Viking Brothers games and have played them many times.
I was excited and wanted to like this game, but found it tedious and dull . The dialog and story is boring and forces itself on me at the start of each level. I dislike having to endlessly click through this to start levels.
It is very difficult to get 3 stars on many of the levels. I don't mind repeating a level a couple times to get gold now and then, but this is nearly impossible to achieve even following the guide. I am very good at these games, but this is beyond ridiculous. When you finally complete the difficult task list you are often presented with yet another difficult task. But wait, when you complete this one there is yet another.
The gouls/specters roaming around blocking your path are completely irritating. They were a but overused in my opinion.
Upon completing a level and returning to the map you have to wait for some time for the indicator to move to the next level. If you click withing a normal amount of time you are taken to the same level you just completed.
The best part of the game was the bonus levels. The Mahjong was challenging, but at least it was doable.

To me this is the best of Adelantado and Roads of Rome in one. Am enjoying it immensely. If you like builder type Time Management you will love this. Yes I do wish there was click ahead, but I suppose it was too much of a change to program into their model.
