The main quest is excellent, as is pretty much always the case for Lost Amulet games. Others have nicely covered it's attributes so I won't add anything more to those comments. I am very disappointed though with the Zen Mahjong game. Unless you're an ace player it's almost impossible to play the game. You need to use jade pearls to shuffle, go back a step, get a hint, and there is simply not enough of them available. On just the second board I have had to restart four times . I'm not a player who likes having to start over and over and over. That's anything but Zen to me. I am glad I did buy the game because the main one is so good, I'd be more glad if both games were the same quality.
This game needs a lot of work. While playing the first level, the cursor seemed to be barely making contact with the tiles, then after supposedly finishing the level , the game kept asking for more matches, but when I would try to make them there was no response. As another reviewer mentioned, I also needed to use ctrl/alt/delete to get out of the game.
I have all the games in this series plus the other ones this site puts out. I like the family friendly aspect of them. There are a couple details though that I think could add to the enjoyment of the games. With the jigsaw puzzles, find a place for the pieces other than over the picture itself. Having to take a considerable amount of time to clear the picture site before you can work on it from any area is rather tiresome. Always provide hints on all mini-games if possible. Having to skip a game that you've spent a long time on because you can't find the last article ,or rotated the last piece correctly is very disappointing. For example with this game I could not find the last article to go in the backpack. A hint would have been very appreciated . I will keep buying these games, and hopefully they'll keep getting better.
I chose this as a free game from punches. I should have waited for something else. Getting the same few tips that you can't turn off , between levels is tiresome. When I asked for a relaxed game, that's what I want, not limited moves. The donkey thing isn't fun . It's simply annoying, This used to be a good game. This one is anything but. I played to level 20 then decided to stop wasting my time.
I bought this, but now I'm wondering if I should have. I'm coming across too many puzzles that I think I have done, but it's not quite there, and I can't find what I've missed so there is no choice but to say skip unless I want to end up with a gigantic headache. Is there any reason a hint button can't be put on every puzzle so this doesn't happen? Those that don't want to use it don't have to, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it,

How bad is this game? After going through page after page of instructions such as four in a row does this, an L shape does this, I couldn't figure out how to get started. Something about using arrow keys. Why make things so complicated?
There are two modes of play, timed and relaxed. I play relaxed. The tiles , which picture various animals and vegetables, are easy on the eyes and fun to play with. There isn't a lot of dialogue, but what there is, makes sense for the story. I played for 45 minutes without sound, so I don't know what it is like.
I thought the game was really good at first , but then it went on and on and on and on....... I'm not done it yet and the only reason I'm not abandoning it is I have invested too much time, but I am so sick and tired of doing the same thing over and over like battling creatures and purifying soap bubbles. I will be so glad when the stupid game is over,
This was an enjoyable game up until the time I couldn't get through one of the battles. Why can game makers not allow a completely relaxing game? I know I'm not the only one that doesn't want to have to worry about time, battles, creeping sludge, and all of that. If other people want it fine, but give those of us who don't, the option not to have to put up with it,
Lost Amulets: Stone Garden was one of the first games I ever owned, and one that I still occasionally replay many years hence. I'm happy to say this new game retains all the charm of the old one. It has a nice variety of things to do, bright cheerful colours, and attractive settings. In some of the hidden objects scenes, some articles are hard to spot, but obtaining the jade pearls needed to get hints is quite easy, so other than the very first puzzle, that really isn't a problem. I expect to get many hours of enjoyment out of this game. Thanks Big Fish!
