This was an amazing game with an original and suspenseful story, beautiful graphics and fun puzzles. I loved the fact that the game was in a snowy alpine setting. A great game, a real treat!
I recommend this game!

After reading the mostly bad reviews for this game I thought of not buying it, but after trying out the demo, I liked it! Yes the game is perhaps not up to the usual MCF standards, but still it is a suspenseful game and I just love the realistic graphics. The story kept me hooked to the very end and the puzzles had a good level of difficulty.
There was terrible overacting especially from the psychic lady and the man from the ghost patrol, which was just irritating and unnecessary but still the story was strong enough for that not to affect the overall enjoyment of the game. The ending should have had more oomph, and been more spectacular too.
I enjoyed the fact that you are on the search for clues as a detective. There are so many games out there where you wander with no apparent purpose finding keys and unlocking endless doors and boxes - how boring really. This game was not like that. Try the demo - see for yourself, you just might like the game too. I have no regrets about buying this and look forward to the next MCF game.
I recommend this game!

This was a good and worthwhile game.
Positives:
Very good story, which builds up in intensity towards the end. There is a dramatic finale and it was played out nicely between the characters. The game reminds me of another one called Small Town Terrors: Livingston, with the theme of a virus taking over a town.
I loved the realistic graphics and artwork, which was such a nice contrast from the fanciful and sometimes chaotic artwork of other games (Elephant games comes to mind as an example). The graphics were a big plus for me.
The setting is a small town called Oxford, which judging by the accents of the people takes place in the USA. There are however some scenes (buildings, objects) which made me think of Canada and I got a bit nostalgic as I am originally from there. Turns out the creaters of this game are from Canada! Cool!
The music fit in perfectly with the story.
HO scenes were different – there needed to be a sequence of actions to get the desired objects, you had to think about how to use the objects together, which was fun.
Had to use the hint button a few times to know what to do next, which is a good thing, don’t like for my games to be too easy!
Good actors and voice-overs, well scripted.
Negatives:
Too few minigames and they were not challenging enough – the main reason this game only gets 4 stars. The minigames in Livingston were far more interesting by comparison.
The final chapter and the ending of the game was 5 stars for me, but I wish the rest of the game was as suspenseful. That said, I did play the game for a long while without interruption! You can’t ask for everything!
The game could have been a bit longer. An extra chapter would have been just right.
Conclusion:
Overall 4 stars – a fun game, you won’t be disappointed!
I recommend this game!

I bought this game (which has no trial version available) with a coupon, simply because I love anything to do with Ancient Egypt and the introductory video seemed ok. What a mistake it is to buy a game without trying it beforehand! I hated this game and believe me, it takes a lot for me to say this as I have never given a game only 1 star before. There are so many things wrong I don't know where to start. The main problem is the 360 degrees rotating view which makes travelling from room to room difficult and awkward and I just got nauseous. There is also nothing happening, you spend all your time walking from room to room, getting lost (no map is provided) and no explanation is given as to how to use the controls. You spend your time talking to characters (how boring) and walking around with no idea where you are going! No HO scenes, no puzzles - after 30 min - I just quit. How awful!
I don't recommend this game.

This was one of the better games I have played in a long time. The graphics, animation and music were excellent and the story was also very good. Some scary moments - well done! This was a Collector's Edition so you get a bit of extra game time, but not enough in my opinion. That is my only criticism, otherwise a really enjoyable game.
I recommend this game!

After playing the demo for 1 hour, I decided not to buy the game. The story is about a sleepy little town, where nothing unusual (unusual is repeated often in the game) ever happens until one day everything changes... Well, the game is a real sleeper, with nothing especially unusual about it sadly. I also thought the story needed work - who do I represent in the game, and why am I involved? It is not really explained, you just find yourself suddenly at the town's train station and the game begins...The one interesting thing about the game was the fact that the HO scenes were a teeny bit more challenging than usual..Just an average game on the whole though, was looking for something a little bit more exciting. I don't dislike the game, but I can't recommend it either.
I don't recommend this game.

This was a great game, with touches of humor and the story had me hooked. Great music, graphics and the puzzles had a good level of challenge. I especially like the fact that you had to think of original ways of using the items in your inventory, something I do not see too often in other games. Just the right amount of suspense too.
I recommend this game!

This was a good game and I enjoyed it! Some original and fun things, such an imp and a very special doorknob...There was a bit too much of walking back and forth from room to room for my taste and I did have to use the hint button at times just so that I could be pointed in the right direction (literally). A bit too many HO scenes, but the puzzles were good. The acting could have been a bit better for the real-life characters that appear in the game, but oh well, you can' t have everything. It was a fun game!
I recommend this game!

The puzzles in this game are amazing, challenging and fun. The storyline was totally over the top, but it was all done with humor. Good script writing. Not having Hidden Object scenes made for a refreshing change! Just a lot of fun to play,Getting out of a scene was sometimes difficult with the cursor and getting into inventory also sometimes a problem but these were minor issues. Overall a great original game.
I recommend this game!

I truly enjoyed this game, the storyline was fantastic! The game grips you from start to finish, and thank you to the developers who worked hard on making this game so interesting. Here you are not wandering about aimlessly, but on a case to solve murders and each chapter of the game follows a logical sequence. The puzzles were good, the music was great and graphics also without fault. The storyline has some scary moments, but that just added to the suspense. This game was a pleasant surprise and deserves to be more popular. What a refreshing change to have a woman detective as the main character! Well done! Looking forward for the sequel!
I recommend this game!
