I played the full hour of the demo. Some of the games could have done with just a bit more explanation, same with some of the HO games where you need to do an action to find the item, plus the hints weren't very explicit, but if you clicked around (no penalties in the 'easy' version) it didn't take too long to figure out what should be done. Also - if you got stuck on a puzzle I couldn't find a 'skip' button. Might have been one - I just couldn't find it. Apart from that it was a more interesting game than a lot I've tried just lately. I'm going to buy it anyway just to try the rest of it. I probably wouldn't recommend it for a novice player but once a person has had a bit of practice with other games they may decide to try this one.

I played the full demo for this game. It could have been a little longer, it only took me 38 minutes to play, including all the story-line scenes etc. Could also have done with a few more voice-overs, but I was able to get the gist of everything quite quickly. I did play the easy version so hopefully the harder versions are a bit better. Otherwise the overall quality was good. The various HO games were a bit different which was a bit more enjoyable than the plain old 'seek and find' type, gave a bit more variety. I'll be trying this game at one of the harder levels just to see what the difference is. I won't be buying the collectors edition - I don't do a lot of the extra chapters, and except for a couple of the games I don't use the wallpapers or screen savers from them, so there's no point in me having them, but I probably will buy the regular edition when it comes out.

Have played lots of spooky, gory, thriller style HO games. This one needs a lot more work to make it playable and enjoyable. I didn't use the tutorial so I can't make any comments with regard to that, but - as some of the previous reviewers have said - HOS scenes are too dark and not well defined, object names should actually be the name of the object, if there are other actions to be taken before you can find an object at least let a player know so they don't waste so much time aimlessly clicking. If the game is designed and programmed by non-English speaking designers then please get an interpreter to proof read so that English speaking players can know what to look for. If I were designing a game for someone using another language I would at least make sure that the correct version of their language is used. A lot of the puzzles are left up to the player to figure out what is supposed to be done. A novice player wouldn't have a clue. Even 'Bubble Town' is more interesting. I won't be buying this game.

Picture not very well focused - hard on the eyes. Music very monotonous. No verbal interaction, figures extremely static. In fact the (who is he?) 'overseer' (guy in charge of the workmen?# just stands in the lobby the whole time not doing anything. As one of the other reviewers said - hint only available in HOS, which include a lot of shadow figures. No choice in level of difficulty. I actually managed to make it up to 28 minutes of play #including a 5 minute phone call which I answered# before I gave up in disgust and deleted the game. If this is the best you can do after this many years and advances in software what is there left for us to look forward to? Will the future be as bad as this game suggests? I should have realised the game would be bad when I saw that the game itself was only 114 MB. On a par with the most basic match 3 etc.

If I could give a zero rating I would. I managed 30 minutes of the trial just in case it got better. It didn't. It was flat, washed out, boring background music playing the same thing over and over, no interaction with the characters, only written text for speech, characters were very wooden with no expression. Had to guess what to do - arrows, sparkles, etc. blended into the background, difficult to see. HOS scenes were lifeless, almost colourless. I could go on and on about how bad this game is but then I would be just as guilty of boring the other readers/players. I for one will not be buying this game.

Overall was a good experience. The only problem I came across was the placement for some of the 'watchers eyes'. Some of them were placed a bit too close to the control areas, especially the 'back' arrow. Couldn't click on them, got taken back to the previous scene when I tried, so would not be able to collect all of them. Maybe someone should try to move them to a more accessible placement? Otherwise, if there were no other problems I may be tempted to purchase. Have already got the 'Dreamscapes : The Sandman' which I enjoyed.

Found the characters stiff, cut scenes slow, HOS very run-of-the-mill. I played the casual version. What happened to the hint? Didn't come up once. Glad I played the demo first. Would have been a waste of my time and money. Only played 19 minutes, couldn't get into it at all.
Was an interesting storyline, completely fictional of course, but complete with fairies, pirates, gnomes, demons etc. Graphics were good, background music not boring, unlike some games where the music was just a drone in the background. I did play the demo from the collectors edition so this particular demo didn't take too long - 36 minutes, but I may just purchase this regular version. I don't purchase too many collectors editions as I don't use many of the extras that come with them. This regular edition will certainly help to prevent boredom for a couple or three hours or so. Easy game to play at the casual/regular level. Fits all my criteria for passing time.
Unravel the mystery of Griffin’s strange experiment in this suspenseful hidden object game and find your beloved scientist before he disappears for good!
Way too dark, no way to adjust brightness levels so you can actually see. Storyline would be OK if there was a bit more story. All there was were a lot of HOS with a few puzzles. Major lack of explanation, and no hints - nothing to tell you how to do stuff. At least I didn't actually have to pay good money for this game. I won't feel so bad when I delete it.
I don't recommend this game.

Flat graphics, don't even qualify for 2D. NO instructions for anything. No how-to's, no why's, no where's, everything was trial and error. No instructions for stuff. Also, put the correct name on items in the HOS. What on earth is a 'knot cuff'? Process of elimination figured it was a 'cufflink'. If you're doing a game for English speaking players make sure the English language is correct. Managed 14 minutes before I deleted it in disgust. WILL NOT BE BUYING IT.
