This got boring very quickly as there was no challenge at all. What started out as enjoyable soon became tedious and I was glad it only lasted about two hours.
Storyline, same ol' good guys vs. evil witch. Mini games, way too simple. Recommend for a first time HOG player. For anyone who's played a few, this has nothing new to offer.
This could have been a terrific game if it had a map. There was too much going back and forth. I couldn't remember what location had what information needed, or where to use the item just found. So I stumbled around aimlessly trying to find my way. As more and more locations were added, it became that much more difficult and tedious. I finally gave up and quit the game. The visuals were great and the music was unobtrusive but didn't add anything.
This game was just so disappointing. What really dropped this down to 2 stars was that the mini-games were extremely simplistic and took less than a minute to solve. They became tiresome and more of an intrusion because they were so easy. The HO scenes were okay with a lot of interaction between items. The story line may keep some interested, but it didn't do it for me. Even though it became tedious, I kept playing simply because I bought it.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm truly enjoying this game. It's very similar to Finders except there are battles to be won. I haven't finished and still haven't figured out the strategy in the battles, but fortunately they have an auto-battle option. Resources accumulate quickly, so fulfilling the quests is usually easy enough. They categorize this as a time management game which it's not, and although I'm an enthusiast of that genre, what's great about this game is that it's different and no rush-rush to get things done. Hope they make more like it.
Good story as usual with Monument Builders, but this one was much shorter and not much challenge. Though I did have to try several times to get the 3 stars on the last few levels. There's nothing new here, except there is no option to automatically send carts to the warehouse; you have to mouse over them.
It's the same as the previous Fantasy Mosaics, but in my opinion it is one of the best series out there for this type of game. It's an instant buy for me whenever they come out with a new one.
However, I was rather disappointed because on normal level this one seemed much easier than the others. I kept waiting for the puzzles to become more challenging, but none of them required much mental effort to complete. Guess I'll try advanced this time around.

A delightful game. Such a welcome change from the witches and evil warlords. This game had everything, HO and loads of out of the norm mini-games which became more challenging as you progressed. Unobtrusive music, good story, funny characters, and you even get to build and decorate the Park to suit your fancy.
This was absolutely hands down the best game I've played all year. In fact, I can't remember when I had such fun.
I just can't say enough good things about this game. More, more, more please!!
I like HOGs and TMs, but truly enjoy the "Oddball" games like this that come about too infrequently. This one was an instant hit for me. I was hooked immediately and played way into the wee hours of the morn.
It's a game with all win/lose levels that become increasingly more challenging. What I like is that if you lose, you've only spent 30 seconds doing that level vs. the 10-15 minutes (for me) on a TM level. So retrying doesn't get me saying, "dagnamit!"
For those who found this boring or non challenging, you may not have played far enough into the game. I'm still not finished as there are many, many levels and I'm stuck at about the 80% point (don't know how many levels total so this is an estimate.)
First, I didn't play the timed mode, so my review is based on the relaxed play. But that's exactly what this game is....relaxing and fun. However, that's why I rated the level of challenge just OK. I have yet to try the timed mode.
Each level is broken down into parts, which was unique to me in a TM game. That in itself, enhanced the game play and gave more into the storyline, which was okay. It was the funny characters you meet along the way that made me want to keep playing. And of course they also have an often sassy, talking cat.
I also liked the fact that in each "region" they require different housing, so it's not the same thing throughout. The villains were easy to defeat and there wasn't any rapid clicking to rid you of them. Everything moved along quickly and the resources were always available. There were no long periods of waiting for resources to replenish and the workers moved rapidly, without long roads to travel. Everything a plus for me.
Just a truly fun game! Bring on some more like it.
no storyline...just the same stuff in most ho's, but at least some of the others got you interested enough to continue. I played 35 min. and just thought it was a waste of my time.
