I'm always on the lookout for games I can play using my USB game controller, and here's one! I must admit, I didn't like the game the first time I played it and couldn't wait for it to end, but there was one level I couldn't figure out how to finish and it bugged me. I just had to play the game again, and now I love it! The music gets stuck in my head. You just have to help out this little guy who can't swim 10 feet, but would rather walk around underwater. He's such a cute dork!
I don't understand all the negativity about this little game. If the devs fixed everything that people were complaining about, it would be the same as every other game. The basic rule about playing games: They all have their own rules and if you don't like their rules, don't play the game. The only complaint I have is that you couldn't turn off the game cursor. I'm sure that would have fixed the lagging cursor.
The game is very beautiful and I really appreciated the interactive map BUT had to shut my eyes when using the map to move between castles. I like to play games, but hate it when they make me sick! That was the only time I had the problem with this game. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it!
I so loved the prior games that I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it. It seems like the devs just went through the motions with this one. The gameplay is identical to Mansion Makeover. BUT, I don't remember any of the other games having characters that constantly walked *through* each other. I mean, REALLY! It seems like they didn't finish what they started. I recommend the game if you love the series, but don't expect anything different or new, just the location.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
This game should have a much stronger warning: If you have a weak stomach, stay away! I mean, really! Collecting toenail parings, plucked hairs and THE CONTENTS OF POPPED PIMPLES! This is absolutely the opposite of fun! I'm sure others love the MCF games as much as I do, so BE WARNED ABOUT THIS ONE!
