Im usually a massive fan of the Haunted Legends series and when I played the demo I thought id chance buying the CE. I really wish I hadn't wasted my money.
So you're a mage which sets out to save Roberto and Lucia on the eve of their wedding and of course the mad little dwarf is to blame. The hidden object scenes were meh at the best of times and you often returned to the same ones.
The graphics were nice and pretty much that's about it. The game was so short and where you face the dwarf at the end... my five year old could have played that particular scene.
Pigeons are collectables but there isn't that many to collect and you don't have to really look for them since your cursor turns into a hand when you are near them.
Its not often I leave bad reviews. In fact I think this game is the only game where I have ever left a one star rating. It was simply awful and I couldn't understand some of the five stars but each to their own.
Really really disappointed with this game. I would even go so far as to request my money back because honestly its not worth it and I wouldn't recommend the standard version either. Don't think ill be buying from this series again.
I was a bit dubious about the game at first but when I got into the game... wow. I cannot praise this game enough.
It starts off when you accept an assignment to protect Professor Reynolds who believes someone is trying to kill him. Five minutes in and bullets are flying. The mini games are enjoyable and I will admit to jumping a little bit a couple of times.
The music added to the darkness of the game and I got completely sucked in. I had to finish to the end. I highly recommend this game to all and it looks like they have left a little opening for a new mystery trackers game also. Another of my favourites.
Excitement overload when I saw a new Phantasmat was released. Played the demo for 15 minutes and bought it!
Starts off with your car crashing and awake to find your daughter missing. When you get out you are back in 1965 at the scene of terrible occurrence.
The HOPS are good along with the mini games. The music and graphics definitely add to the game.
My only complaint is that the story line missed out a little and didn't go into much detail about some things and felt it ended just a little too quick without some explanations as to what actually happened.
Overall though I loved this game and would recommend it to any phantasmat fan and newbie. Waiting patiently for the next one!
So when i saw MCF had another game i bought straight away. Didnt play the demo just straight in there.
So you are the famous detective returning to Dire Grove after being summoned there to investigate the cause of a curse which has turned the entire town into an arctic wilderness.
Now the concept of the game was interesting. Graphics etc top notch. You even got to choose if you wanted to be a male or female detective. (Not that it really matters in my opinion).
But it was a little annoying to play to say the least. It starts off relatively simple and you open new areas but you are back and forth all over the place. Picking up items and then you cant remember for the life of you where it was supposed to go so you go back to each individual location to see if you can remember. There was no real flow at all to the game. I found the HOG relatively easy compared to the last MCF games and they didnt really provide a challenge.
I gave the game four stars as in fairness the graphics etc were top notch but im actually left thinking maybe i should have waited until the standard game came out before i bought it.
Overall having been a huge MCF fan and having all the games im left a little disappointed by the game. I only hope the producers take note of game flow and hopefully the next game will be a massive improvement.
Without warning, a group of mysterious figures arrives and reduces your village to flames and rubble. What do they want... and who is controlling them?
I loved this game. I was literally sucked in from the minute i started playing. I couldnt stop. It has been a long time since a game had me waiting to keep playing to find out what happens next. The mini games are great, graphics are fantastic and good storyline too. What more could you want from a game?. I highly recommend this game to both beginner and expert. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
I played thirty minutes of the demo and it was thirty minutes of wasted time. I couldnt finish the demo as i just couldnt take to the game at all. The initial description of the game sounded promising but failed dismally to deliver. There was no flow whatsoever to the game. The hidden object games were tedious to say the least. Also there was only two levels of gameplay, beginner and advanced. Very disappointed as it sounded promising. Needless to say i did not buy the full version and i think any hidden object fans wont either.
I played the demo version of the game and to say it was disaapointing was an understatement. I have always loved the dana knightstone games so i expected to be in for a real treat once more but sadly it was not to be. the hog and puzzles were very easy to solve and the story line bounced around to the extent it became tedious. maybe its just me but i really didnt take to this game and i sure didnt waste money buying it. maybe people getting into the dana series may enjoy it but it wasnt for me.
Well all i can say is what a waste of game credit.
The graphics were annoying. they were not in sync as the people were speaking and the girls mother looked like she was having a fit every time she spoke.
the HOs were the only good thing about the game. They were quite good but if you were an intermediate player and over you would have found them easy enough.
I cleared the game with relative ease. i was waiting for something really scary to happen after seeing the two peoples faces change but nothing happened. The ending was super fast and left no explanation as to what happened the mother and baby.
Really really disappointed with this game. If you are a beginner player then give it a go but intermediate and advanced players dont waste your time and money/game credits.
When i saw the demo for this i thought i have to try this. Im not one for scary movies but something about this game made me want to try it.
Unfortunately i was a little disappointed with it. Yes the music and that gives a little chill in the spine and u might jump a little when the weird girl pops up in front of you but it was so drawn out. i felt like i was going back and forth between the same rooms constantly and when i finally got finished in the childhood home something then pops up to tell me that its to be continued and the next installment is not until the fall of this year!
Seriously?? I really wanted so much more from this game. I play a lot of big fish games and to be honest ive played a lot more difficult and gripping ones than this.
I think ill wait when the next installment comes out as a standard edition before wasting money on the collectors one.
Its worth a look at but really i think they could have done so much more with it.
