I was so excited to see this game offered today, since "Arizona Rose and the Pirates' Riddles" has been my very favorite nonogram/mosaic game for a long time. I was hoping this new Arizona Rose game would be just like it except with new puzzles.
After downloading and trying the demo of this new one, I liked it well enough to get it with a coupon... BUT I don't like the graphics or the puzzle tiles and set-up as well as the ones in Arizona's Pirates' Riddles game. I don't like the "awards" set-up as well, either. I must admit these things were a big let-down.
Even though the puzzle tiles were smaller in Arizona's Pirates' Riddles games, I found it easier to tell which tiles were open and which tiles were unopened or removed than with the larger tiles in this new game. I felt that the finished puzzle pictures in the earlier game were also more real looking. So, those "features" in this new game were also disappointing.
Maybe it is just me... but I have found this same disappointment with sequels of other games I absolutely loved. Seems that in their desire to make the sequels different, the developers change so much about really popular games that the "magic combination" (that made the first in the series so great) is lost.
I hope developers will read this post and keep it in mind when doing sequels of games that have been extremely popular.
We all have our own set of likes and dislikes... so I definitely recommend you try this game if you love nonogram-type games as much as I do. Even if you don't like the style as well as you liked the style of their earlier game, you might still enjoy it.
If They'd Lose the Flashing Light, I'd Buy This One

How disappointing!!! Another BEAUTIFUL jigsaw puzzle game created by the 8 Floor developers WITHOUT the option to disable the "feature" of the bright flash of light each time the player fits a puzzle piece in the correct place. ;(
I love the georgous puzzle pictures in all the jigsaw games I've seen from this developer... and they seem to have enough puzzles in each game to keep a jigsaw puzzle lover like me happily busy working the puzzles for weeks and weeks. But it is a no-buy for me because the flashes of light tend to give me headaches... or make a headache I already have get worse. I've seen other postings with a similar complaint from folks who have tried the 8 Floor developers' jigsaw puzzle games.
Adding an option for players to disable the flashing "feature" would probably bring in more sales for the 8 Floor developers, for customers could choose to turn off the flashing light if they wished... or the ones that like it could leave it on. How difficult could it be to include that option in their future jigsaw puzzle games ! ! ! ? ? ?
I sure wish they would add that option. I'd be waiting in line to buy one or more of their beautiful jigsaw puzzle games!!!

P.S. I gave this game 3 stars and said I recommend it because I realize that the flashing light might not be a problem for many others.
Butterflydhc mentioned the game "Jigsaws Galore" and gave it high praise. I must agree. "Jigsaws Galore" is much better in every way. It is the best puzzle game I've come across on Big Fish so far. The mechanics are so much more "user friendly" than the ones in "Royal Jigsaw". The "Jigsaws Galore" game also allows the player to choose the number of pieces desired in each puzzle. The puzzle pieces can be changed to many more shapes than are offered in "Royal Jigsaw". And you can make your own pictures into puzzles.
I was able to add over 100 additional puzzles to my "Jigsaws Galore" game through the developer's website FOR FREE. I am still not finished with all the new ones and won't be for awhile.
I will say that I thought the puzzles in the "Royal Jigsaw" game were beautiful. I have given the game 2 stars because of the lovely pictures. But I wouldn't want to pay even the low $2.99 Daily Deal price for the game because every time you fit a puzzle piece into the correct place, there is a flash of light. This flashing "feature" is annoying to me and I could discover no way to disable it.
I agree with Saphhire's post in the forum. The flashing light "feature" in these puzzles is also a "deal-killer" for me.
I love the fact that there are so many beautiful puzzles in this developer's games and that you can choose the number of pieces you want in each puzzle. But all those features are meaningless to me because of the flashing "feature" each time a puzzle piece is fitted into the correct place. It's very distracting and annoying to me. I play puzzle games for relaxation and I don't find the flashing to be relaxing. An option should be added to these games to allow the player to play with or without the flashing.
The developers of "Royal Jigsaw 3" should check out BFG's "Jigsaws Galore" game. Now, THERE"S a developer who knows how to create a jigsaw puzzle game!!! The puzzle pieces can be changed to many more shapes than the puzzles in this game. You can also create puzzles from your own pictures if you wish. The option to choose the number of puzzle pieces in each puzzle is also available to the player. And there is NO bright flashing to deal with in that game.
Even though I can't recommend this game because of the flashing, I've given it 3 stars and average grades for "fun factor", "visual/sound quality" and "level of challenge". I did this because of the number of puzzles in this game and because I feel that jigsaw puzzle fans who don't mind the flashing might find it appealing.

I'm a fan of Match-3 games... but, I'm sorry to say, I just played some of the demo for "Caribbean Jewel" and found it to be very boring. The play area was bright and colorful, but it opened up quite small on this wide screen laptop computer. It was hard to distinguish the squares that needed to be "broken" from the other squares. The game play simply did not spark my interest. Perhaps that is because there are so many other Match-3 games out there with graphics that are much more appealing and game play that offers more interest and challenge than one small Match-3 screen after another.
I was wanting to love this game, as I've been on the lookout for a fabulous new Match-3 game to add to my collection. But this one does not come up to par for me.
I bought this game a few years ago as the story concept seemed different and interesting. But I soon discovered that the numerous hidden object scenes with tiny, and sometimes almost invisible items to find, made the game tedious. Since there are many, many museum rooms to work your way through, I was thoroughly bored and VERY sorry I had laid out money for this game.
I will say that I have purchased other games by this developer that I do like.
As always, check out the demo for yourself. If you are into endless hidden object scenes with lots of tiny items to find, you may love the game.

Just finished this game and recommend it. I found it to be refreshingly different. I am an avid fan of computer games and have a huge collection of them. After playing hundreds over the past several years, it seems to me that many of them have a "sameness" in story line and tasks. So it was a delight to "step into" this game and find it didn't fit the "cookie-cutter" formula of so many of the others.
The people in the story are live actors, but the scenes are artist created. I am a fan of puzzles so I was happy to discover that this game had more puzzles than usual. And I found them to be quite unique and interesting. Many of them seemed more difficult than usual. The story also had a satisfying ending.
I might add in closing that the game didn't immediately capture my interest, but I got drawn in as I went along and am VERY glad I continued playing to the end. So do the demo and if it doesn't immediately "grab you", give it a bit more time before you decide against it. You may find you get drawn into an enjoyable gaming experience, too!
