I initially played just a few levels and found it much like the first game except for the addition of hidden object levels (mostly with scrambled names). I'm glad I went back to finish the demo time, as I found there is almost no "game" involved! The first "day" was the only one with cleaning and HO scenes. Days 2-4 were simply dialogue and fixing up the house & yard, and everything had a star cost but the stars just appeared evidently as a reward for reading or doing the previous action. I got all the way to the screen that said it was the Bonus Chapter without any more game levels at all. Nor was there any mention of the palace in the title. The developer seems to have wanted to do a story without bothering with the game. Even if the bonus chapter happens to actually have any game to it, it is certainly not worth buying at the CE price to find out. The first game isn't great, but this one isn't even trying.
I have tried three times to install this game. It wants to install DirectX, but then it claims the installation failed. When I check, I am told I have the latest version and the drivers are up to date. From the looks of this game, it actually may want an old version, which I find ridiculous for a new release. It also wants to install something else that's already installed and up to date - I've had other games say that and then say I have the latest version. I have tried everything I can find except reverting to an out of date DirectX version (which would probably only be overwritten the next time the system updates things). No game is worth this kind of aggravation. I was curious about the game, but I'm not desperate for something to do.

I also liked the Crystal Mosaics game, and I love the Pixel Art series, so I had hopes this would be good. Based only on the demo, I'm not encouraged. First, the colors should live up to the "crystal" name more than they do. Second, having every space/pixel be a little square isn't interesting. Third, I'd really like a way to fill in an area like the Pixel Art ones have. These pictures (so far) look like they were originally designed for another Mosaics game and were just tossed into this format. This will go into my waiting list to use up a punch card coupon for when I'm bored, although I enjoy replaying the Pixel Art ones enough to keep me happy for a while.

I thoroughly enjoy this series and go back to them over and over. It seems each one in this series has more complex pictures, which is nice - the first one had too many small, basic images for my taste. The developer's Paint by Numbers game that came out on Big Fish recently isn't as good, to my taste, as the pictures are more basic and the colors too bright to be relaxing, but that's probably just me. I hope we get more of this series faster than they've come out in the past.

I prefer the Pixel Art series, but then I like the subdued colors and increased shading of those pictures. Where others find this one to have bright colors, I find many of them garish. The other big problem is the tiny sections that are so small you can barely see them even with the maximum zoom level and scrolling all over the picture. This is often because the outlines are so thick (and somewhat fuzzy when magnified), and mainly because the sections are so small you can't see them once they're colored in (even red ones) and the picture is back to its normal size. It shouldn't be necessary to have a hint button for a paint by numbers "game." It was a way to use a punch card coupon before it expired, but I wouldn't buy it otherwise, even though I do enjoy filling in spaces with colors as a way to relax.

Love the cute animals, but my hands hurt after just a few minutes of the demo. Dragging characters is just annoying, and the mini-games aren't interesting. I generally love time management games, but I can't deal.with this one.
I enjoy this kind of game and appreciate the pretty images, especially since this game has a theme. The quotes were nice, but nothing new. On my laptop, there's a little flickering on this game, but it's not awful - some games are unplayable when they do that, but this was just a slight distractioin. My hands are not steady enough for the trace-the-line pictures, but there's a skip function, so that's ok too. What I don't understand is the map shows a locked level on each numbered section, but I have no idea how one unlocks it.

I like this type game - the Rainbow and Travel Mosaics series in particular - but this game has none of the good features and all the bad ones. The real dealbreaker, though, is too much guessing. These games are supposed to be solvable with logic, but there is no way to do that here. Combine that with the one-color grids (if they can make the color picture show up after it's solved, why not a color grid?) and no indication of a mistake in marking a square, and I'm not going to be buying this one.

I like Time Management games, and I have the others in this series, but I just can't see what makes this a CE. I have no interest in concept art or music. I expect a Strategy Guide and different difficulty settings, at a minimum, in a CE. I have no idea whether there are bonus levels or not, which would be the only reason I'd even consider buying this on sale. The best part of this game is that it's fairly straightforward - I don't care for the games that make you do things in their prescribed order to get through the levels, or the games where you are constantly clicking like mad. It would probably be a good game for someone just getting into TM games, but the SE version would be enough.

More tiny blue images that could be anything - they don't tell you what it's supposed to be. The background is vaguely Thanksgiving or Fall themed, but the images don't seem to be. The Gizmos and Fantasy Mosaics series have spoiled me so I just don't enjoy these more basic versions any more.
