DO NOT play this game if you are looking for something light hearted and fun. This is a really disturbing game which is why I had to keep walking away from it. The graphic and sound effects are excellent. I particularly enjoyed the addition of the live actors periodically throughout the story line. I loved the few 'bloopers' at the very end during the credits.
I wasn't totally thrilled with the morphing object type of HO games. Many times, try as I might, I just couldn't find the last one or two. I don't really like using hints as much as I had to with this game.
The variety and challenge level of the other puzzles throughout the game was both a treat and somewhat frustrating. Several times, in spite of using both the strategy guide and the walkthrough, I just couldn't get through them. I used the 'skip' more times during this game than I have ever done before.
Some of the sound effects and some sections of the story line I found to be quite disturbing on an emotional level. That being said, I simply shut down the game and came back to it later. I never play to beat time, so I didn't mind that it took me hours to finish.
This game can take a long time to finish depending on your skill level and how "into" the storyline you get. After a certain point, the bouncing from scenario to scenario #act to act# to complete a task or level got to be tedious and sometimes made little sense, However, if you persist, you will get through it and be glad you did.
Overall, I would have given this game 5 stars if there had been awards or achievements of some kind to accumulate along the way since the simple act of playing through to the finish was so challenging. The actual finish was a bit anti-climatic given the total level of difficulty and challenge involved.
I DO recommend this game but be warned, it is not for the squeamish or faint-hearted.
I recommend this game!

After playing Jigsaws Galore for so long, a game where the puzzle adjustments are almost endless, a game like Royal Jigsaw lost my interest well before the trial hour was completed. I don't enjoy jigsaws for a timed factor, I enjoy them for the concentration factor, the relaxation factor after a long, stressful day at work so this one just seemed like going back to a kid's floor puzzle format so to speak and did not meet my expectations. Sorry, but I will stick to my fav, Jigsaws Galore, where I can increase the difficulty level and add to the puzzle library with pictures I find of interest in addition to the many, many already contained in the game.
I don't recommend this game.

Although this game was harder than many, I found it totally frustrating since the puzzle instructions are vague to non-existent in most cases. Also, when forced to refer to the strategy guide, you have to totally exit the playing mode to go to the main screen to access the EXTRAS before you get to the strategy guide? That wasted loads of time.
I recommend this game!

There is nothing of interest in this game to hold the player. The music is boring, the various levels are different colors but not much more, there is little here but shoot and make-three or chains -- I couldn't even finish the entire hour trial.
I don't recommend this game.
