RhianneG6 - the secret to Level 8 is to restore train station and track right away. The train will then deliver money and food.
Some levels easy, some not so much. There are a number of levels where you have to make key activity selection early in the game (see Level 8 above!) or you won't make it far. So, I've started several levels multiple times but have been able to figure it out. Like the funky story - different premise than usually encountered.
I recommend this game!
