What is the purpose of collecting stars? I have not played previous versions and no mention I can find in the instructions. Unless I get something for doing it, it seems like it just uses up time. (Of course, if game had option for untimed it would not be an issue!)
I stopped buying this series a couple of versions ago. The increased difficulty made the games more frustrating than fun for me! I wonder if others stopped hitting the "purchase" button also, since the maker has returned to an easier...but still enjoyable ...format. It's hard to please everyone, but from the comments I think that many others play these games for relaxation and are happy with the milder challenges.
I am always happy to see a game offering that is mostly pure Hidden Object, with no adventuring to and fro. I am not a serious, dedicated gamer like most of the reviewers. I play in short intervals (15-30 minutes), often with a few days between visits to my PC. Adventure games where you have to remember where to go, and what to do when you get there, are frustrating instead of fun. If you like HO games such as the Big City Adventure series, the Park Ranger series, etc. you will probably like this one.
I'm enjoying that there is variety in the game play as you earn money to restore the Queen's garden. Also like the fact that there are 3 different options for each decorative item. Just the kind of game I like: low stress factor without being too repetitive.
