This was a very slow-paced game. The graphics were blurry and half-dark. Hard to see the items you needed to collect in HOS. The music was soft and made me rather sleepy.
One puzzle didn't even let me know I'd completed it. Most games make it obvious with a noise or sparkles or at least a ta-da! Not so this game. I sat confused wondering if I had to play a second round or if I'd gotten it wrong.
It was obvious what the storyline was, but there was no logic to advancing. It seemed as though you could "work" some scenes and knew you'd eventually have to go back, but it was difficult to know what it would lead to.
I felt it was boring and didn't hold my interest at all. I quit the demo after only 22 minutes. No pizzazz, no sale.
OMG, this is the worst game I've played in years! Are the developers trying to put us in eternal slumber?
The visual quality was not great... too much going on in the HOS, very junk pile-ish. Very hard to find what items to open to find other items. And even when you've found all the items in a secondary location, it still lets you think there might be more to find. In other words, it doesn't lock you out when all that can be found has been found.
The storyline made very little sense with so many sub-plots and characters.
Well, I've learned my lesson... no more matchmaking!
I enjoyed the first 3 Azada games, but can't say the same for this one. This is completely unlike any of them. The colors, the visual quality, the logic... all different and not in a good way.
The first HOS I encountered was a blurry jumble. I believe I asked for 2 hints which is uncommon for me. Some items were nearly impossible to see, and I have to agree with other reviews; the list was difficult to make out, too.
The puzzle to open a door (I think it was the first) was one I thought would be rather easy, but again, no logic to it and lots of frustration.
I only played 26 minutes and was so frustrated by the lack of logic in the game. I was lost from the get-go. I rarely have to ask for a hint on the first task but could not determine how to accomplish it!
The magic bottle was silly, as was the creature. I really had no interest in the creature, naming it, giving it an age and hometown, puleeeze! This felt more like a child's game than a grown-up's adventure.
There was a lot of distraction... the endless dialog and tutorial. I said I didn't want interactive help and got it anyway.
I am not hung up on who the developer is for any of the games offered, but if this is the best that can be done, I'd say it's time to give up the day job. What a ridiculous piece of nonsense! I most emphatically would not recommend this game!
This game did not appeal to me. There was no real excitement, no sense of urgency. Gosh, wouldn't you think there might be when your blimp crashes?
The graphics were poorly drawn, not especially attractive. The audio was okay until the blue wisp spoke. It had such a mechanical sound to it.
I only played 30 minutes of the demo and couldn't take any more. I think in that time I played 3 HOS and there were a couple puzzles, which were extremely easy.
To sum it up, I did not enjoy the game. Everyone is different, though, so check it out. Might just be the one for you.
I liked the stoyrline of this game. I played 55 minutes before the demo ran out, so I feel the level of challenge was great. It usually only takes me 40-ish minutes to get to the end of a demo.
The visual/sound quality was good; nice colors, music was theme appropriate, no scene was too brightly lit or too dark. I enjoyed the silhouette-type HOS. Nice change of pace. The interaction of having to find one item to use to find another isn't new, but not done very often, either.
My biggest complaint is when I first started the game, I was asked if I wanted some interactive help. I clicked "no". Played for a few moments and then a large box appeared with an arrow pointing to an area of interest that asked if I wanted the tutorial. Didn't I just moments before say "no"? Rather irritating. No means no!
There were quite a lot of dialog and cut scenes and that got tiresome. It made the game play feel rather slow.
My overall rating of the game would have been higher had it not been for those two issues, but I would recommend the game.
If you're looking for an in-depth and knock-your-socks-off game, this isn't it. However, if you just want to escape the daily grind for a while, this is quite an acceptable game. I played 45 minutes before reaching the end of the demo.
I found the graphics to be somewhat fuzzy and some of the items in the HOS to be quite small, while other items were well-placed to make you really hunt for them, so some good, some bad here.
The music was softly eerie and appropriate to the storyline, I felt.
The initial cut scene before the wreak was pretty dull and neither character seemed overwhelmed with love and eager for the honeymoon. Not a good sign...
The game played easily with no obvious glitches and filled my widescreen monitor nicely. Game play was fairly linear and there was not too much back and forth.
I didn't like that there were only 2 modes of game play, so I played the Thrilling mode which was anything but. The notebook was not necessary as the objectives were right there with the inventory. Though I didn't time it, the skip button seemed to fill rather slowly.
I could tell the storyline was going to be quite mysterious and was interested to learn the outcome, but not enough to spend money on it.
I will recommend this because it will be a nice game for beginners and for those who don't want to strain their brains overly much on a low-key weekend. Experienced players may not feel challenged enough, but sampling the demo is the best way to find out.
I was excited when I found this was a Blue Tea game. I have loved them all... until now. This was a jumbled mess with too much dialog, too much that you thought you needed to look at without it really being important. Felt more like a history lesson than a game.
The graphics were extremely out of focus. To find all the objects in the FROG scenes was next to impossible without using the hint.
This demo had me running all over the place for items and there were so many it was difficult to remember where they were to be used.
The fact that the map was interactive didn't really help as you would think it might. The puzzles were not challenging at all even though they were somewhat different. Some were not actually puzzles; just put object in the scene and you get an open door, etc.
I have never heard of this fairy tale. Did they just make it up or was I already asleep when the books were read at bedtime? The storyline was pretty obvious, no guesswork there, but how the game played was confusing.
I am very disappointed with this game and will not even consider it when it becomes an SE. Blue Tea and BF, this game is just awful. I know Blue Tea is capable of creating far better games. What were they thinking???
A gramophone in the pub in 1790? Really??? Were they just trying to be funny, or what?! At least it wasn't a juke box... with Elvis music.
Aside from that, the graphics were a bit dark but finding objects in HO scenes wasn't really difficult. The music was soft and sort of creepy like it should be, but it was a tad monotonous. The mini-games/puzzles were fairly easy.
The hint worked outside HO scenes and didn't count as using a hint, which is nice.
I don't like the highlighting around objects that need attention. Too much of a give-away for me.
This was just an okay game; nothing that really drew me in to the story. So even as an SE I don't think I'll go for it.
And truly, I wish developers would think, really THINK, about what objects they are putting in their scenes. An otherwise okay game just becomes ridiculous.
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…
We have the cut scene of the father, then the game tells us all about Emily and she becomes "ill" and the mother is given the task of saving her. Once the mother gets into the portal, the story takes another direction.
I found the side trip to be just another of the "You help me and I'll help you" variety. Nothing new here. I'm sure the side trips continue and eventually everything comes out fine, but there is really not much challenge.
The graphics were okay; dark and dreary until the mother fixes the problem, then nice and colorful.
During the demo there was one HOS and one puzzle (which was way easy).
The story failed to grab and hold my attention.
Some may like it, so try the demo first and decide for yourselves.
This game seems to have something for everyone. HOS and puzzles (neither of which were difficult), good colorful graphics, very well done voice overs (the lips almost match the words!).
It has a nice linear feel to it and I can figure out what to do with objects I find quite easily. The graphics are nicely drawn and I love the colors, very easy on the eyes.
The music is okay but it doesn't really add to the game; it's just there, although I can't really put my finger on what might be better...
Nice that there were no car wreaks, kidnapped children or screeching demons. Refreshing change of pace!
