He liked it, I was less impressed. I felt the games were too easy, I did like the scenery. The HO scenes were interesting but I like to find things by words more than match pictures. I like morphing objects, but I wish the devs would find a way to make them serve in the story maybe in both incarnations. I did like the story on the level of its having us pass through different energy zones, but again it was more show than anything we get to figure out and work toward our goals in the game. So he wants to buy it and I probably will not play it unless we play it together. Will take advantage of the sale to get the CE edition and let him have his fun.

I liked it, puzzles were fun like finding shapes that made a presented shape when put together. HOs were really good had extra challenges to put things together. I have not bought it yet because the Demo was so short, I wonder if the game is too. That is what I am hedging about. I would have given 5 stars if the quality continues and the game is a good length. I'll be watching reviews to hear from some other brave fish who loves it enough to jump into this pond not knowing its depth uh length LOL

I have liked a number of these Mystery of the Ancients games enough to buy the CE. This one is a no buy for me. It was boring. Having giant meteors of ice crash down is not the excitement I am looking for in a game. I want puzzles that are fun to figure out, HO scenes that I delight to find things in. Somehow this one just dragged on. The puzzles were easy, there were rabbits that one had to find and also figurines. The actions that were required were humdrum played in other games. I really wanted to like it and expected to from other reviews, but it just fizzled.
I don't recommend this game.

I love morphing objects, but from all I can tell from all the reviews, there was just not enough to make this CE worthy. The puzzles were definitely good. I love aiming puzzles and getting the spear, discus and arrow to the target was fun based on changing the angle and force of the throw...then the colored tiles was another puzzle to taunt the brain..so for me it is a buy and the story line was good because of running back and forth in time...Hey I liked it; see if it earns the laurel crown for you!
I recommend this game!

No doubt a buy, the reviews made up my mind that the SE was the way to go for the best value, but value is fully here. What a great game! I am not one for the story but this one was fun and imaginative and I liked it. The HO games were fun good interaction...have seen some more innovative but this one was good. The scenes and the story worked together so well because the mystic quality came across in the picturing of the landscapes. Check it out...
I recommend this game!

You have to search through time for your friend...and while doing so, you use technology to do facial scan recognition, use a computer to find things, and the h obj are very different...in one, things are a kind of rebus and you find what matches, in another you have to find pieces and while that is not so different, there was a magnifying glass to get a closer look, There is a wall blocks to push and while most of those are random this one is not as there is a clue to solving it. there is a maze to unlock...in fact throughout doors have very different locks. This is a game with all kinds of new ways to puzzle out what is needed. It is not difficult and I like my puzzles a bit harder, but the newness had us intrigued and enjoying. There are collectibles and morphing things...People you meet let you know aspects of your objectives. There is a bit of running about...and the hint is happy to let you know where to go without it costing time once told. I am fairly well sold on getting this as a CE...so let's have one of those sales please Big Fish...I managed to miss the last one.
I recommend this game!

Yes there is backtracking....and I like having to remember where I need to go...but the hint will help if you are impatient. I liked the games...whack a mole and the pick up the toy and others. I like those the most...like being at an amusement park without the annoying noise, smells, push and shove of people...there were a few H obj games but they were fun though I was not as turned on by the choices in blue that made you look for what was there among those selections that were not. They did that over and over and it was ok as a puzzle aspect, but for my taste overdone. I liked the sense of mystery and the tunnel of horrors with things jumping out...I would have liked more interaction in the H obj scenes. I will buy this because it is fun and easy on the eyes. O I really liked the puzzle in a maze where one had to avoid other balls while getting to the finish...that was a lot of fun.
I recommend this game!

From the trial, I can not say that there was a lot of innovation to the game, but it is pretty, and not mawkishly Christmas themed. The puzzles look interesting and one gets the opportunity to choose if they are to be easy or hard. I tend to play the game on easy, but I like the puzzles to be tough. I like to find the hidden obj things easily but enjoy figuring out those puzzles. Things seemed to show up quickly where they were to be used, so there was not a lot of running around. Because there is magic, some things just get taken care of rather easily...once one has the power to overcome a sinister force...away it goes. This tends to keep the game moving. There is a moral element to the game...one is encouraged to do good deeds and one is overcoming evil, but that is not unusual. Since I prefer games to be light and pretty rather than dark grimy and horrific, I will probably buy this one. I usually wait to see what other fishes say about the SE vs the CE to make my final choice. If the game had been a WOW of innovative and well thought out story line, I would have gotten it right away. Some might think it would not deserve the five stars after I say that, but there was an element to the game that I really enjoyed and that got it passed four to five in my estimation. I usually skip the talking, but I mostly paid attention to the story even though it was not all that fresh, maybe I'm a sucker for magic and portals and such...see what you think, but definitely give this one a look

the only thing I would have liked better the puzzles needed to be harder. There was a lot of innovation with the game board...a lot like the movie Jumanji...but we get to play. The scenes are neither dark nor ugly, but what is fierce is fierce and a lot is very beautiful. I'd like to know how long it is as a game because the demo cut us off long before 90 min was up. I am probably going to buy it but I am waiting for other gamers to say more about the whole game and if the SE is a better buy.

I like this one with only one complaint that the numbers when crossed out are rather pale and hard to see. If you like figuring out where the numbers are, this is rather good. but it does not have multiple levels that some of these games have, so it is rather simple in comparison
I recommend this game!
