I think I would have really liked this game, however, the mechanics of the game was enough to stop me after the first 3 scenes. The pointer was not accurate, screens would close when trying to leave a zoomed in area. It was awful. If this gets fixed I would try it again.
This is an old school game. Very challenging. If you like a challenging adventure game with challenging puzzles and little help, this will be the top of your favorites list.
Thank you for Zen mode!!!! I had quit playing these lovely games because of getting errors when playing. I would be marked wrong for coloring a spot that was a correct spot. I had to clear my cache after playing 3 puzzles so I could complete the puzzles. Now with zen mode, this does not happen and I can play easily. I LOVE the challenge that is presented with zen mode as well. Again, a HUGE thanks!!! I love your games and now I can continue playing them. I bought the first one with zen mode and have now bought the rest that have been released since adding this mode. I am on 35.
I do not write many reviews and I PLAY lots of games from this site. This is by far one of the best games ever. If you like no hints, clues, challenging puzzles, this is the game for you. It is up there with Safecracker and other straight adventure games. I am a fan and with great anticipation wait for the sequel.
I usually play games in expert mode and found this game to be a total joy. The level of difficulty was just on the easy side yet I did use the hint button once.
The use of items that you find are consistent with a rational story and not absurd. There were different types of challenges, like doing some snooping to discover how to make the ranger a perfect cup of coffee.
I usually don't pay too much attention to story lines but found myself following this one. I never play with sound so I can't mention about voice overs or music etc.. I also don't write reviews very often but had to on this game.
This was an older type of game and the graphics were very nice. I am so glad I bought this game. It was perfect for my lazy days off this week.
I truly enjoyed this game but if you are older and have trouble finding REALLY small obscure items, you are not going to have fun with the game. You have to find MANY small coins to progress in the game. I just got frustrated and used the hint.
There are 2 play modes. Casual and normal
Pros: Gorgeous graphics. They drew me in immediately and I almost bought the game with the sale this weekend. - Navigating from screen to screen was the easiest in any game I have ever played. - The game has a type of scroll for the larger scenes. - The one puzzle I played was unique. I enjoyed it - It was more of an adventure game, which I like. - The HO scene was cute. That had a unique touch also
CONS: You can't see the darn coins. You have to trace the cursor over every square 1/4 inch of the screen to wait for the cursor to change to find the coins (if you are older). I spent soo much time trying to find them I lost track of what I was doing and got frustrated. You have to find coins to progress or I would have never tried. There was one object in the HO scene that was also very obscure.
I will definitely NOT buy the CE edition of the game and not sure I will get the SE either. The coins were too frustrating. However the rest of the game was outstanding.
I just burned dinner. My husband says "you've been playing that game a long time". Two, three hours go by and I don't even realize it. I cannot stop playing.
The visuals are excellent. My only complaint is one background in the game was so busy you have a hard distinction between the tiles and game board.
The difficulty is "just right" to the easy side. I have never done this type of puzzle before and can not wait to find more. The premise is finding the pattern of tiles according to number patterns on the sides of the play board. This is very enjoyable.
Everything you have come to expect with this series

This game will not let you down. Game play was fairly straight forward. There was some thinking involved. I don't pay too much attention to the stories but this one is a werewolf. The hint button helps and recharges pretty quick. The graphics are excellent. The puzzles were a bit different than the usual. It is nice to see some imagination being out into them. The HO scenes were easy. I am more of an adventure player and I did not mind the HO scenes. Highly recommend this game.
This game was refreshing. A story of voodoo but with a different twist. It is a HOA game. There are some puzzles also. There were unique features to the puzzles. The game caught my interest from the start and left me anxious to play the next scene. There are 5 different scenes you work your way through and then go back to all of them in the end. The hint button has a great feature also. You can choose what you action you would like a hint on. It refreshes pretty quick. There were a few HO that I would have named differently and there was some searching but not too difficult. I am not much for the HO but thought these were OK. I highly recommend this game for a break from the norm and for a pleasant adventure.
