I have always looked forward to the newest edition of Mystery Case Files, but this one fell flat for me. I didn't find the games challenging for the most part (match the end of the pipe shape to the shapes of squares, rectangles and triangle, really?). The Hidden Object areas required very little thought. I miss the old style multi puzzle section where you REALLY had to work at figuring out what needed to be done. This one is a miss for me, but at least I got it on sale.

I have played all the MCF games from the very beginning and was eagerly looking forward to this one. It was just o.k. The puzzles were rarely the deviously complicated Rube goldberg style puzzles I have enjoyed previously. The HO sections were slightly better than average because there were more 'two-step' selections, but all in all, I'm not wowed, especially at collector edition prices.

I don't think I've ever reviewed a game before. I have like the Quadrium and Clearit series, but found them ultimately too easy. Too many REALLY easy levels to play through in order to get to the good stuff. This game is nearly perfect. Levels are challenging, especially when you have to make 6 color matches of the same color in a row. Thinking and planning is required. There are even a couple of levels that I couldn't solve using the advanced mode on the first play, but I'll try them again because I will definitely be playing this game again. My only issue is that sometimes the board looks quite challenging and then with one match, the bombs explode nearly the entire board. Make us earn it!

This game was listed in the brain teaser category, but It's strictly HOG. A lot of time spent waiting for the new section to load only to find more HOG. Items are easily found, there is just no challenge to be had and if there are mini puzzles or games or mind benders, I sure never found them. Pass on this one. I didn't even bother to play out the entire demo.
