Normally I look at the reviews to judge whether I might enjoy a game. I was really skeptical when I started this one because of all the bad reviews.

I did not judge storyline, because I always skip the stories. Because of the poor rating from everyone else, I also opted to play the demo on casual mode. When you first enter the game you have the option to use the tutorial or not. Even though I am very experienced in this type of game, I selected the tutorial to find out why everyone is having issues with it. I had no problems understanding the tutorial.
The controls are slightly different than I am used to and the little man appears to not be doing anything, but then a resource will appear on the screen. (A little patience when you are exploring) This is really is a simple game to grasp if you have experience with the fog-of-war, build the community, type of game. It honestly reminds me of the old WarHammer game (the original single player, orc against orc) I played 20 years ago - the workers even make similar comments.
I played my demo out - made it to level three so not sure why someone else couldn't make it passed the first level in an hour?!? I restarted the third level a couple times otherwise I would probably have made it further. This first time is only because I did not like where I originally planted my Main House, and the second time because my offered resources were too sparse. I was really getting into it when my time ran out.
I will be purchasing this game. I recommend it for anyone that is truly experienced in the older fog-of-war type games.
I recommend this game!

I do not typically select this type of game. I found this to be a great way to spend time relaxing.
I did not have the issues another reviewer had. I was able to drag the pieces - not click to pick up, click to let go. You can select several or just one at a time. Every picture is modify-able. If you really like a picture but do not want to only complete it as 12 pieces, you can select modify and make it a larger number (or vice versa - 200 pieces to 12). If you do not want straight cuts, you can vary the cut for slightly abstract shapes. You also can select the option to not have the pieces rotate. I only played the time trial so far, and played with all these features. There are several option available for every skill level.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game when it first came out in January 2008. I am still returning to it time and time again. I have almost beaten all five difficulty levels. My children love the movies. I always steer my friends and family to this game.
I recommend this game!
