I think this game could have been a little better, but it was still a good game.
First off, there is a map. I don't know why reviews say there isn't, but there is, it was a rolled up scroll -like thing located near the bottom left, right above the menu button. The problem with the map is that it doesn't tell you which areas have any tasks. You can use it to transport, but that part was useless since it didn't show which areas had a task. Hint works well by showing which direction to go by using arrows.
Storyline seemed a little more on the boring side. This woman's brother was murdered over a book and the only suspect is this ugly elf-like creature who denies killing him.
Graphics were very good, pretty 'sharp'.
Puzzles were pretty easy, there were a couple of more challenging ones, but not that challenging #just took a little longer to complete#.
HOS were pretty easy also and there weren't too many, some were done twice. Some of the objects required an extra step. There was a couple of items I did in fact have to use a hint. Example: one of the items in the bonus was snowdrops, so I was looking for something with snow #like snowflakes#, but couldn't find. Apparently snowdrops is a plant with white bell-like flowers. There were a couple of different HOS, most were the list kind, but there was one where you had to find all the butterflies and roses.
Quite a lot of bonus content: wallpapers, concept art, music, bonus play, pics of staff making the game, etc.
The ending of the bonus chapter did seem lame to me.
Through out main game and bonus chapter you can collect little sacks of dirt with plant seeds. You can plant the seeds, water them each 3x and then sell them for money using the Garden tab from either main menu or right above inventory on right. As you earn money from selling the flowers, you can buy more to plant.
All in all, good game.
I recommend this game!

Forest Legends was a good game. There were many positives along with some negatives (like many other games).
-Storyline could have been better. This story was basically a fairytale story. Humans use to love and marry Felizes (half-man and half-lion?). As years went on, the two sides started hating each other due to a felize rebelling his own Queen (human) who had a child (the King(felize) was away). The child (human) is raised by a human and sets out to help free her love, a felize, who is being hunted by the humans and his own kind.
-Puzzles were interesting. Majority of the puzzles were pretty easy-moderate.
- No HOS are in this game (kind of a let down, but it was ok).
-An interactive map which was very useful since there was a lot of backtracking.
-Graphics were good, not excellent. Could have been "sharper".
-excellent length. Main game play was about 4.5-5 hours for me (average for me is 3-4 hours). Bonus chapter was about 2.5 hours for me (average for me is 1.5 hours).
-A good amount of bonus content (wallpapers, concept art, etc).
I recommend this game!

I must be part of the minority who has pretty high expectations for games after you have played so many computer games.
This is actually the worst game I have ever played. I have played pretty bad games and excellent ones, but this was worse than other games that were bad. It was so awful, I could only stand about 30 min of it.
-Storyline was not good at all. You and your girlfriend plan on getting married and your girlfriend needs her father's blessing to do so. He lives in Mexico. You arrive in Mexico and she passes out. While finding water for her, she is kidnapped by a Mexican Skeleton. You also find a journal that talks (it is an ugly journal by the way).
-Graphics were not very good either. The graphics almost look like child drawings and slightly professional drawings squished together.
-Puzzles were ok, not really challenging.
-HOS were too easy for the most part.
-There was an interactive map, but the map was very poorly drawn.
-Had to use the hint to figure out what to do after I had used the map to get to an area.
-Game dragged. Wasn't the quickest when entering one area/scene from another area/scene.
I don't recommend this game.

This game was not as fun. It actually seemed a little boring to me.
Pros:
-nice graphics
-Plenty of puzzles, some more challenging than others.
-Good amount of bonus content (wallpapers, bonus game, music, etc).
Cons:
-storyline was lame to me. Your mother dies, your father disappears, and you were raised by your aunt. You are now an adult on a mission to find you father with the help of Fey (some kind of gnome or elf?) in a non-human world. Ending was pathetic.
-map was useless. In order to use the map to transport, your teleportation device has to be totally charged. Once charged, you can teleport, but then you have to wait for it to teleport again because the device has to recharge which takes about 1-2 minutes. So most of the game you are backtracking a lot. You can use the hint, but that just shows you arrows in the direction you need to go. On the map, all places that have a task are in red, even if you still don't have the object for that task, it will remain red until task is done.
-Too much dialogue.
- HOS were not your typical HOS with a list and there were very few. You had to find all the pieces for a specific object. Example: A ladder, find all the wooden steps and sidings (there could be about 10-15 pieces).
-Bonus game was too short and was lame.

This one was not as good as previous games. Kind of went downhill instead of up.
Pros:
-Great graphics
-Good scenes, but not scary enough.
-Map
-good amount of HOS
-good amount of puzzles
-plenty of bonus content.
-cute squirrel that helps you out.
Cons:
-storyline not as good. You have to help your niece (not you nephew like previous) and school mates escape the boarding house that is haunted by a women who traps her victims in mirrors.
-puzzles too easy
-Map was interactive, but it showed ALL opened rooms as a task needed to be done, even though you don't have the item yet to get the task done. So you either have to use a hint in which a message pops up telling you where to go or what to do, or go through each room until you figure it out.
-acting of the characters were not believable at all, probably because there lips didn't move when they were talking.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game better than the first one (the one where the museum coordinator's? daughter was taken by a ghost/dead pirate).
Pros:
-Very good storyline. You go to an island with the man who has some fishlike man who needs help to overthrow the leader and free the mermaid.
-Great graphics.
-Interactive map.
-HOS not cluttered and not too difficult.
-Plenty of puzzles.
Cons:
Didn't really have any cons for me.
I recommend this game!

This one was a great game, but I do think it was not as great as the previous Living Legends.
Pros:
-Storyline is ok, the Queen has kidnapped your sister to steal her youth/beauty by tricking her into thinking she was going to be the next Queen living in her castle. One bite of the apple, and your sister turns into ice.
-Plenty of HOS, none were too difficult.
- Many puzzles/minigames
-Excellent graphics
-An interactive map that actually tells you which areas you need to go to next.
-Several bonus contents (wallpapers, bonus games, etc).
Cons:
-Puzzles seemed a little too easy.
-Didn't like the characters very much.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game. It is not very often I rate a game 5 stars.
The storyline was very good. You are trying to find your boyfriend Alan (or husband??) in the dark woods. Your boyfriend is somehow indirectly part of the reason a young boy named Ethan disappeared in the dark woods several years before when Alan was a child.
The graphics are excellent. Very sharp graphics. The scenes were also very good, plenty of creepy scenes. The music was good for the game, there was a scene where the Ethan sings a poem or something, which was nice, I wish it was with the soundtracks so I could hear it again.
The puzzles where pretty challenging, not too easy like other games. There were many puzzles that were actually different than other games, which was a plus. Not the same old type puzzles. The skip button fills up very quickly if you need it.
The HOS were very easy. There were different types, which I usually dont like, but in this game it was good and easy. The hint button refills very quickly in HOS as well as rest of game.
One of the best parts to the game was the fact that there was a map that allows you to jump from one area to another. That was extremelly helpful. Didnt have to back track so much like other games played.
The bonus chapter was pretty good. Good length, although the ending could have been different.
The bonus content has much to offer. It has wallpapers, some scenes you can replay, HOS, soundtracks, and other things.
There are acorns you can collect throughout main game.
There are morphing objects you can collect in bonus chapter.
Main game time for me: approx 4-4.5 hours
Bonus chapter: approx 1-1.5 hours
I recommend this game!

Excellent game. The graphics were excellent as well as the music.
The storyline was interesting. A man has come to an island to look for his parents 20 years after being dropped off at a couple of stranger's house for safety.
HOS scenes were easy and interesting. You click on some kind of clock (the clock looks vary# within the HOS and and you and up in the same scene but a different time/year. Majority of items were very easy to find. If you cant find an object and you dont want to use a hint, you can do this word solve puzzle to find one item #one word puzzle per item#. The puzzle gives you a picture and you have to figure out the what the word is. They are fairly simple. HOS scenes are not very cluttered.
Puzzles were easy. There were a few that were difficult.
There is an interactive map which made the game a lot more easier since you dont have to backtrack so much. The map actually highlights areas that have a certain task you can do immediatly #green#, and areas that you will need to come back later #yellow),
The bonus play was also good and it gave a hint that there may be another sequel.
There is plenty of bonus content. There are wallpapers, concept art, music, replay of HOS in which you have to find 3 particular collectibles in those scenes, and 50 of the word puzzles that you can solve. Worth the money.
I recommend this game!
