I really enjoyed this game. Usually I dont go for this type of game (games set far back in the past), but this one was very good.
This masked man is going around killing people (mostly women) and kidnapping two women for some elixer he is making during the the time the cholera break out was in Europe. The masked man is an alchemist.
In the bonus play, you have to stop the masked man from do something else (he escapped in the main game).
Graphics were very good as well as the scenes. The scenes were actually good, not boring. The HOS were more on the ok side, not the best. There were quite a few items that required more than one item to get to (some 3-4 items). There werent very many HOS either, about 1 in each scene (some scenes didnt have any), and only some HOS were done twice. The puzzles were challenging and some were pretty easy. Was able to complete all. Making the potions was very easy too.
Another plus was there was a map! The map made it so much easier to get back to certain locations.
I recommend this game!

This sequel is so far the best in the series. There is plenty of things to do; it isnt short like many other games. The biggest plus for me was there was a map! The map made it so much easier when you had tor return to certain areas. There was a lot of areas to cover too.
Brandon (the little boy and the baby from previous series) is now all grown up, injured, and is in love with a queen who can (and does) turns people into stone. Things go wrong when a greedy man comes in and shuts down the mines for his own use.
The graphics were excellent. The music went well with the game. The little elf-like creature (like Dobey from Harry Potter movies) as well as the other creatures/characters were well made.
The HOS scenes were easy for the most part, some items were a little hard to find, but were able to still be found. The puzzles ranged from easy to somewhat challenging, but none were impossible.
The bonus play was well done. It was pretty good length, plenty of stuff to do. In the bonus play, the queen's evil brother escaped from the underground prison and has taken the queen captive. The HOS and puzzles in the bonus were also pretty easy with a few somewhat challenging ones.
Overall, excellent game.
I recommend this game!

Excellent game. The game is full of interesting scenes, puzzles, and HOS.
The HOS were easy for the most part. The puzzles start out easy, but do get a little more challenging as you advance in the game. I admit did have to skip a couple.
The Graphics were chilling and excellent. The storyline was pretty interesting.
I do have two complaints though: NO map and NO actual speaking. The characters do not talk, instead you have to read the dialogue to know what they are saying. The map would have been very useful because there is a lot of areas you have to back track to which does making the game a little tedious. Other than that, I really enjoyed the game.
The bonus play was also very good. It was actually longer than many other games that have bonus play.
I recommend this game!

I like this one better than the previous one. The map is what made it better because then I didnt have to keep back tracking. There seemed like more to do, more to do in the paintings.
The puzzles were fairly easy with a couple of challenging ones. The HOS were also fairly easy, I did have to use the hint a couple times because some of the items were actually very well hidden.
The graphics were very good, but the characters need some work in my opinion.
Storyline was pretty much the same as previous game with some added twists to it. The conversation scenes were more boring so I usually skipped them. The outfit Kate was wearing seemed odd for this kind of game. Why would you wear a fancy dress while investigating the mysteries? Just seemed odd to me.
Otherwise, great game.
I recommend this game!

House of 1000 Doors Family Secrets has quite a few secrets.
The puzzles were more on the easy side for me. The storyline was pretty good, but the conversation scenes did seem a little boring. There are plenty of HOS that are pretty easy.
Graphics were very good, but the characters could have been done a little better. I didnt care for most of the characters.
I did notice the game lagging a few times, especially when you complete a puzzle or HOS. Other than that good game.
I recommend this game!

This game seemed more weird than anything. The storyline was odd to me.
The graphics were not as good as many other games. They were not "sharp" like many other games and the colors didnt seem very good either, many parts was on the verge of blurry and average (definatly not sharp images though).
At first the game was interesting, but about 1/4 to halfway through it seemed to get boring and more weird. I really didnt see the point of the animals being in it (lion and cub, bear cub, and an ox...i think it was an ox). There also was a point in the beginning where you get an egg from a little/medium size bird. That egg hatches into an ostrich, which seemed really odd since the egg was not from an ostrich. That seemed really weird to me.
I did not care for the HOS types. The first few were blacked out images you had to find and combine to get the item (last item is what you get), then it was just blacked out images (very little combinations needed), then it went on to finding pieces of the objects (flower divided into 4 parts type HOS), then it was the list form. Having 4 different types of HOS is really too many for a game.
Another thing that I really didnt like was that there was NO map. You have to back track more than anything which makes the game play more tedious and boring rather than fun.
Puzzles were not very good. Some were easy, but others were more ridiclous to the point of skipping the puzzle. The laboratory part was not my cup of tea. Took too long using that when you having to enlarge instructions after every single step (some had 14 steps).
The bonus play was also weird and not very fun.
I don't recommend this game.

This game was very good. Seems like it is a little better than the previous one I have played (grim tales legacy).
There was a good number of HOS that werent really difficult.
The puzzles were easy for the most part, some more difficult than others.
The map was very useful as well as the hints I used a few times to figure out where I needed to go next. You get the map in the first chapter after completing some tasks.
The little green talking puppet was pretty cute as well as the boy (when he actually looked like a boy). The mother was nicely done too. The father seemed a little creepy.
The graphics were excellent as well as the dialogue scenes.
The bonus play was pretty interesting, short, but interesting.
The storyline was also interesting. The one thing that did strike me as odd was the fact that family decided to live in the swamps instead of a castle or nicer area.
I recommend this game!

I really liked this game. I liked having a map that you can use to get locations, made it much easier rather than having to back track all the time.
HOS were fairly simple and a decent amount of them (not too many but not too few either). The puzzles varied from simple to challenging, but none were impossible.
The storyline was interesting about the wolves and the family (the baby was cute as well as the wolf cub).
Graphics were very good as well.
The bonus play was also pretty good. It seemed a little longer than many other CE bonus chapters I have played.
I recommend this game!

I didnt care for this game as much as others. I found it tedious having to keep back tracking the whole game. There was a map, but you cant use it to jump to locations like other games.
Puzzles were really quite ridiculous. A few of them I was able to do without skipping, but many were pretty much impossible to complete, ended up skipping most of them. The skip buttons takes several minutes to load. I have played many games that had very difficult puzzles, but rarely run into ones that are impossible to solve.
The storyline was lame to me. Too much like other storylines (evil witch, ghosts/projections of kids, etc).
Graphics were Good for the most part, but there were a few areas and scenes that seemed blurry.
Another downfall of the game (for me anyways) was that there was NO HOS whatsoever. You had to keep backtracking to different locations to find items.

I actually really liked this game. It was very intriguing as you unravelled the mystery which isnt over yet (ending said to be continued). It was also creepy in some scenes when something you werent expecting happens.
People in Maple Creek are disappearing. You are a female detective who is trying to find the most recent missing woman. The towns preacher is the only suspect, and your job is not only to find the woman, but find him because he is the only suspect.
There is a another suspicious detective you see and talk to a couple times in the game (Det. Hamilton). You play as him in the bonus play.
The bonus play was pretty good, but was little short. It does however give you the background of Hamilton.
Graphics were very good. Storyline was eerie, but interesting.
There was a very good amount of HOS. They were actually pretty easy (did have to use the hint a couple times). The puzzles were fairly easy with a few that were somewhat challenging, but none were impossible. The hint button is useful when running around trying to find out where you should be going next (there is no map). The Hint button also recharges very quickly as well as the puzzle skip buttons (if you need them).
Very good game. I will buy the sequel if and when it comes out.
I recommend this game!
