Still nowhere near as good as Eipix games .Not a bad version but still relying on previous games for inspiration- nothing original. good graphics but it just doesn't have the same darkness and attention to detail that Eipix had. Grandma games really do need to up their game. Better than the previous one though. The name Grandma sounds old fashioned and these games feel it
It is so so sad to see one of my favourite game developers produce something as awful as this. Graphics were slow to load, The storyline as far as I got was uninspired. Poor instructions for some of the games. The demo claimed to be 90 minutes long however I played for just over 40 minutes before the demo ended- this is ludicrous. To me this says that the game is very short and had I have had the 90 minutes I would probably have finished the whole game and I'm not even someone who turns off all help. As a result I will not be buying the game. I wouldn't even use my punch card freebie to get it-it's just not worth it. There does seem to be a trend recently for poorer quality, shorter, decidedly less scary games which is a real shame- where are games like Sanitorium or the first Maze games? I have noticed that people have been making these comments for a while now and nothing has changed, they have fallen on deaf ears. Maybe we need to play something else? I agree with the reviewer on here who said the games 5 years ago were much more fun. I absolutely do not recommend this game
MCF have been my all time favourite games for years. Generally Eipix do an excellent job. The whole point with MCF is that it's not some jolly boys own yarn but a spooky, enthralling thrill. GRandMA has done a hatchet job on my favourite. Please, please, go back to Eipix otherwise this may well be the last MCF I buy and I certainly won't be buying any GRandMA games. Far too weak. Puzzles, HOP, Plot- all too weak The anomaly device would have been thrown out the window if I could It sorely grieves me to say this but it's the end of the line for MCF if Eipix don't take it back
I haven't played the Bonus game yet but I really think this deserves 5 stars. I hope there are more games in this series as it really was a pleasure to play. Great story line and good graphics. They game played well. There was a little too-ing and fro-ing but not too bad. Great atmosphere. The puzzles were good and varied. The game was a good length too- you really felt as though you were getting into it. Far too many games these days are way too short. You play alternately a male and female character-2 chapters each but there is plenty do in each chapter. There is a background narrator who will also resurrect you if you kill yourself (which you can do a couple of times) Eipix games are usually worth getting and if you like them a (little bit) scary and tension filled then this one is for you- Highly recommended
I love spooky games but was very disappointed with this one. The main game wasn't too bad. In terms of graphics, sound quality and plot line it was fine. Some of the puzzles were a bit irritating, especially the repeat the sequence ones. The game ended rather abruptly and at first I wasn't sure I had finished. The bonus chapter was extremely weak and hardly worth doing. It really didn't add anything to the game. Yet again morphing objects you can never find/achievements you can't get- all makes for a disappointing game-sadly
The game was OK, entertaining enough but I did find several things that annoyed me. I do like the CE versions as I don't feel I've finished it until I've done a bonus chapter. My problem with a lot of these CE versions is that if you don't collect all the pieces of a puzzle in the game you are denied access to some of the bonus content- given you've paid for it that's a bit of a cheek. I do resent not getting everything I have paid for. There should be an ability to revisit scenes and collect what you need. The bonus chapter was a bit weak
Have had this game for a while but not played it. Really good game. Engaging story line, great graphics and fun (mostly) puzzles- I did find one or two a bit long and repetitive) . The game was an excellent length- too many games these days are a couple of chapters and then they finish which for a collectors edition is far too short. Very good value for money. I do wish that collectables could have a hint if you miss them as they are quite fun and I inevitably end up missing one! Love this series of games and this one didn't disappoint. Some of the game instructions could be a bit clearer and I did have an issue with the horse/obstacle game- my cursor went haywire- not sure why. There were lots of areas to explore too- not just the same few settings you go over and over again- that was extremely pleasing. I must see if there are any more games in the series I haven't got
I like this series of games and enjoy playing them. Some of the game instructions are not very clear (or didn't seem to work- the footsteps one for me). I was also a bit confused by the ending. Good storyline with good graphics. I was frustrated at missing out on one collectable- you don't seem to be able to go back and get it. Otherwise entertaining and enjoyable
Loved this series. This game didn't disappoint.Really good long game with lots of excellent places to visit and entertaining puzzles. I'd love to do more games if the developers made them- a short but fabulous series
My minor gripe is the length- it's a bit short. So many games these days are on the short side and it's a shame. I have always loved these games and this one didn't disappoint. Great story line (although I prefer a bit spookier) , excellent graphics and very good puzzles. I also liked the fact that I could go back to the scenes again and find all the morphing objects and other objects- for the first time ever I have found them all and got the achievement! Can't wait for the next one
